Another year, another canoe trip. The 6^th year in a row actually. Gene and Linda continue to set the standard for outfitters running on the Rapidan and Rappahannock Rivers. If you’re considering a canoe trip for yourself, friends or family in the Fredericksburg area, call them for a reservation, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been patronizing Clore Bros for a good bit of the last 25 years.
I went as a kid on overnight fishing/​canoeing trips with my dad. When I was looking to start my own tradition with my friends 5 years ago, it didn’t require much thought to head back there. Amazingly, the owners (it’s a family run business) remembered me from all those years ago and made a point to ask me how my dad was doing.
We show up early on a Saturday morning, leave our cars there and they shuttle us, our gear and their canoes 20+ miles up the river. The trip ends back at Clore Bros, so you don’t have to worry about waiting for someone to come get you. You pull up to their ramp, load your gear up in your car and you’re on your way. They even provide you with a mesh trash bag so you don’t litter the river with empty beer cans after having too many and falling in. :-D
They have a ton of trips in various lengths; both in mileage and in days. Their website isn’t great, so don’t hesitate to call them up and ask questions. They’re definitely good people.
