Alright, I’ve succumbed to the persuasive pressure of those(several) who have seen this review and personally assaulted me on it. The pendulum was this past weekend, the 3am delivery of gargantuam portions lasted the three of us a total of 9 meals. Trust me, even though the food was good, late night Chinese on Saturday, cold drunken chinese Sunday morning, and warm leftovers Sunday night doesn’t resonate very well Monday morning.

I didn’t give it one star because my food was fine but very greasy and heavy. Spmetimes I get this strange craving for Chinese food(must be the MSG) so I stopped in since I luv the Dollar General next door… I ordered the standard: Shrimp Fried Rice & Shrimp toast. I ate a cup and a half of food, and was stuffed! The interior is the typical chinese place, old, dusty and dirty. I just don’t understand why these people don’t IMPROVE on the location. The door was so old and ugly, and they can’t afford to clean, update, or replace it? Other than that, they had a selection of gossip magazines, so while I waited I learned why J. lo and Marc Anthony REALLY broke up(wink, wink). My food didn’t take long because I was the only one there on a Saturday at 1pm plus school hadn’t started yet, late August 2011 so I was fortunate. The cashier was friendly and pleasant, I just don’t understand why they don’t speak English to the cook. That’s just so 70’s and I just don’t believe they don’t know English! I don’t buy it! Anyhoo… don’t make a special trip to this place, but if you are there, go ahead and try your fave Chinee carry-out special. My food was fine. I will go again, in the far future only because that kind of food is not in my meal plan. O! let me describe my food: The rice was short grain, with very little soy sauce used in cooking, The shrimp were small size, I can tell from a frozen bag. No other tell tale veggies. very basic fried rice. My shrimp toast of course was saturated in grease with a mushy shrimp mix inside. I am on a quest. I remember when I was young in the early 80’s I had shrimp toast that was litterally 2 gigantic shrim smashed in white bread and fried! with the tails. I know this is true, give me a thumbs up if you have ever had such a thing, so I continue to search for this childhood memory. Anyway, another time I had shrimp toast with real chopped up pink shrimp inside, and that too, was fantastic. Both were from restaurants mind you. Alas, I wander through life, eating grey, mushy shrimp parts, fried in white bread… my pain… more reviews later.
