Best Chinese in town whether it be delivery, carry out, or dine in. Never had a bad meal here and continue to go back. The staff is wonderful and attentive and the food is out of this world. Best egg rolls in Frederick and the shrimp spring rolls are to die for. Good food, great value, great time.

If you are looking for good, authentic, Chinese food, this place hits the spot. We came to this place based on their Unilocal reviews. Their general Tso chicken is the best! It comes out hot and crispy. The sauce is really good! They also have really good wonton soup, tea, and fried rice. Anytime we want Chinese food, we always come here if we are in the Frederick area. Yum!

Have been searching for a decent Chinese place and finally found one. Everything we ordered from appetizer to entrée was great! You would never know from the outside how great this place is. Friendly service and excellent food. What more could you ask for?

Top Quality. Put this restaurant on your top list for quality Chinese food. No msg. I travel to Asia often and the savory test of food available is excellent. The staff is friendly and caters to the business traveler as well as the local patrons. I ordered egg drop soup. The soup was very fresh, hot with plenty of eggs and no fillers. They even came with warm crunchy soup noodles. Main course Combination Egg Foo Yung. Very well seasoned and plentiful. The owner I presume Mr. Peter made sure my take out order contained plates and eating utensils. Made me feel at home. Enjoy! !!

Tried carry out today for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised! The food was done in just a few minutes and it was fantastic! The person that helped us was friendly and efficient. The cost was about average for the area. The General Tso’s chicken was the best I’ve had in years! We will be going here again!

I heard great things about this place, so was looking for an alternative to my trips down to Annandale, VA(where the Peking Duck is phenomenal). Well, the duck here is worthy of another visit, but it didn’t make my top list. The pancakes were a bit too floury and the duck was just a bit on the greasy side — not too greasy though. The service, however, was exceptional and I will be coming back. Tea is served immediately and a nice hot towel at the end for clean up. It may not be 5-star but it’s definitely worth future visits.

PEANUTALLERGYALERT. If you have a peanut allergy DONOTEATHERE. Twice now I have had a severe allergic reaction after one bite of food. I am always weary of peanut stuff with Chinese restaurants(if you have the allergy you understand the egg roll Russian roulette game) last time my co workers ordered I got Hunan chicken took one bite had a bad reaction– I let it go because I did not specify. This time I called the order in and stressed peanut allergy to make sure they cleaned their pan before they cooked my food. Food came, took ONEBITE, sitting here with swollen lips, a swollen itchy tongue, hives all over and struggling to stay awake because I had to take Benadryl. NEVERAGAIN.

Excellent food every time ! Great lunch prices and superb staff. Consistently excellent. I get lunch here a lot in the middle of my workday. Staff knows my first name and greets me when I enter, or even when I call in. I can’t say enough about how special this place is. My favorite Chinese in Frederick. Thanks to the owners and staff for a job well done !!! Highly recommended !!!

Great food, great service and they cant turn out a dish or an order in no time. We often get delivery here and we are a solid 15mins out and they still serve us and are incredibly timely. Always a happy customer!

So, this place is very cute and the interior is very welcoming. The service is the exact opposite. My family and I came here for an early dinner and our server was just overall rude and short with us. My fiancé asked to add onions to his dish and the server made it seem as if it was such an inconvenience. I realize there was a language barrier and we may not have much to talk about, but manners would be awesome. Our server would bring our food and just dip off like it was a relay race. We asked for straws for our drinks and he seemed irritated by that as well. The food was really good, but all the great food in the world doesn’t make up for poor, rude service. My takeaways? If you live local, order to go. I wouldn’t suggest this place to dine in at.

Fast and courtesy service. Double checked my order(curry right?!) and finished the meal with a hot towel, almond cookie and a fortune. The food was delicious and true to their spice count., many places say spicy and its fit for my 10 year old haha. I’d definitely come back!

Favorite place for Chinese food in frederick. The orange beef is fantastic, as is the king Pao chicken and crispy pork. Love everything here!

TL;DR: Bad staff. Obnoxious owner. Don’t waste your time. My experience today was awful. We called in an order over $ 50 and they told us it would be 45 minutes for delivery. 40 minutes later they called us back because they’d written the credit card number down wrong and it wouldn’t go through. 45 minutes after that our food still hadn’t been delivered. When we called back we were told that our order had been moved to the back of the line and had not been made yet. First we were told the manager couldn’t waste his time on us and then the owner informed us that we could wait at least 45 more minutes or cancel the order and practically dared us to write a bad review. We cancelled the order and here’s the review.

Best Chinese restaurant in Frederick! I love that they serve water and hot tea right when you get to youe table. The service was quick abd friendly. We had spring rolls which where perfectly crispy. Our meal was chicken with broccoli and white rice and combination lo mein. The chicken was deliciously seasoned wi th crisp broccoli. The lo mein had huge pieces of beef chicken and lots of shrimp. Lots of places will skimp you on the meat. They also served a big bowl of white steamed rice. At the end of the meal we had almond cookies and steamed towels with the check. What a nice touch!!!

I’ve been going to Peking Gourmet since my days at Hood College in the late 90’s and have always been a fan of the restaurant. The owners are absolute dolls, I love their friendly attitude and service, they are pleasant and the food comes quickly and is served hot. I’m wondering if over the years they’ve changed chefs from time to time, because the food has not always been consistent which is why I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5. The last time I was there it was delicious and fresh, the time before that, not so much. Usually I order the Fried Chicken Wing appetizer, 6 wings for only $ 4.25 and they come tasty and sizzling hot! 5 stars for just the Chicken Wings! And the Kung Pao chicken is excellent as is the Wonton Soup, those are my top 3 picks at Peking Gourmet. I’m not however, a huge fan of the Pad Thai or the Taiwanese or Singapore Rice Noodles, they’re super oily and just… tasteless. Price-wise Peking Gourmet is kind to your wallet as well, very competitive prices and offering lunch specials that come with a soup or egg roll, entrée and rice for under $ 7?! Count me in! Overall I’d say it’s definitely worth one’s time to check out this restaurant, one of the best Chinese places in Frederick.

This is seriously a hidden gem of a restaurant within a strip mall. First, the food is delicious. I started with 2 egg rolls & they were very big & yummy… and for $ 2.95 how can you beat that!!! Then I had the General Tso’s chicken & fried rice. A nice spice & zing to it. Really done to perfection — I’ve only had better in Chinatown in San Francisco. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. You could tell it was family owned… just very kind & genuine people. Always checked if I had enough drink, rice, and soy sauce. They wrapped up what I couldn’t eat for me. And when they brought me the check, in addition to the token fortune cookie, they also brought me a delicious almond cookie & a HOTTOWEL. What a great idea… loved how they took the extra step with the hot towel. I will visit this Chinese restaurant again!

After reading the reviews for this place I thought I would give it a try. The food was disappointing but I gave it 3 stars for cleanliness and the friendly and sincere greeting. The chicken fried rice was just ok and the«fried rice» that came with the other dishes was not good at all. The orange chicken sauce was really good but the chicken was fatty. The Szechuan beef was excellent but but I was underwhelmed by the egg roles.

**The best Chines in Frederick!** Peking Gourmet(PG) serves up the best Kung-Pao chicken north of D.C., IMO! I always get the Kong Pao chicken because it’s sooo good. The dish is made with a sweet-spicy brown sauce, with chicken, peanuts; that has a little heat, but certainly not overwhelming. Spring onions round out this dish to confirm that PG serves the best Kung Pao in the area. The egg rolls are also excellent – stuffed full of meat and vegetables, served golden-brown. As most other Chinese restaurants are shrinking the size of their egg rolls, PG serves the large old school egg roll we all grew up with. From what I can tell, all of their dishes look really good. I’ve tried the crispy beef; it too was excellent. Lastly, if you eat-in during dinner hours, you get served a piping hot towel to refresh yourself at the end of the meal. PG is located in a nondescript(Evergreen Square) shopping center on Buckeystown Pike, across from Checkers hamburger joint. PG does look like much, but it’s the best Chinese in Frederick.
