I’m genuinely surprised there were so many good reviews on this place… that’s why I went there in the first place! But alas, I’m giving them a 2 star review:/
They have a lovely show room with a helpful staff and nice merchandise… overpriced but nice. I made the mistake of thinking that because they’re more expensive, we’d have a hassle free experience.
After scowering the floor, we found EXACTLY what were looking for… An entertainment center with a built-​in electric fireplace in an espresso finish. Our sales lady was even able to have it delivered that day. Everything was great until it arrived.
The delivery guys started pulling the fireplace out of the box and it looked like it had been used for batting practice! We pointed it out to the delivery guy, who was looking right at it and was going to install it anyway. We called the manager who initially tried to get us to keep it… not cool! We convinced him to take back the fireplace and he said he would have them come back a few days later to give us a replacement. Following that event, we decided to look over the entertainment center itself more closely and noticed that whoever put it together, did it incorrectly and consequently, damaged the entertainment center… so we called them back and told them we needed it replaced as well.
Monday rolls around and the delivery guys show up, with only the fireplace. They had to turn around, go back to the store (mind you my plans for the day are screwed) and hours later, came back and finally, we had our undamaged entertainment center.
In closing, if I hadn’t diligently looked over my purchase, my $ 650 entertainment center would’ve been worthless. Not to mention the fire hazard that a seriously damaged electric fireplace poses… which makes me the most angry. So if you’d like to pay too much, possibly get a broken item and spend days trying to sort out their mess… shop at Fitzgerald.

It’s ok proved here but I would shop around and see what else is competitively priced.

We bought a coffee table, 2 end tables, an accent chair, and a sofa for ~1700. Good prices and the sales staff was nice. We shopped around at Value City and Ashley furniture and didn’t find any decent accent chairs. The only negatives are that we had to special order pillows to match the accent chairs since the pillows come with the couch (doesn’t make sense). Also, the sales lady was new and a little haphazard but was very eager to help. She forgot to arrange a delivery date and charge us for delivery, so we had to call on our way home to arrange. No biggie tho, they are delivering our stuff in 3 days!
