As part of #projectsexy2015 thought I’d add Tae Bo to my list, I brought along my friend Lori and boy the 9am class on a Saturday which I thought was for beginners was pretty tough, I thought to myself whatever happened to the Tae Bo moves from Billy’s DVDs? The moves in this class are sort of kicked up a notch from what you see on the DVDs. The class was extremely fast paced, but fun… they could use better music though(Michael Jackson was on speed play!) and they played it so loud, that’s my only gripe. Other than that I’ll stick with this class for now as it is not crowded and I had fun!

Class: I just attended my first Tae Bo class ever. I went to the Tae Bo for beginners. I regularly work out so a part of my ego wanted to do the regular class. I’m VERY glad I didn’t! The class gave me a foundation in how to move properly to get the results I should! Staff: Every staff I met was super friendly and helpful! I met Mark who with his wife Shellie(Billie Blanks daughter) own this location. He was super friendly and everyone has a warm smile here! I was surprised to learn the have more than Tae Bo. They also offer a TRX class(think strength training with your body weight and straps), and have some cardio equipment. Children: They have a kids zone for $ 3/hr pet child OR kids 6 – 12 can attend a class FREE(minus TRX). I chose to have my kids attend the basic class and create positive family habits/memories for us! The Basic class was a great pace for them as well! Vibe: It didn’t feel like a meat market or muscle beach. Had senior citizens and 20 something’s in my class. I was only male but saw greater mix in class before me. Layout: The layout gives lots of natural light and the entire place is well lit, super clean and smells nice yet no annoying fru-fru scents. The main studio has a padded gymnastic style floor with a soft felt/carpet covering. Several people did the class bare foot. I think I will next time because it was so soft. There is a nice seating area with picnic style tables to wait for your class or chat and cool down after working out. They have changing rooms but no shower. Ideal for changing into workout gear and showering at home after. Synopsis: Overall I was highly impressed. Never once did I feel I was in a strip mall or old Blockbuster location. They did a WONDERFUL job creating a warm, inviting and inspiring place to get yourself in shape! They put a lot of attention to details, that make your experience pleasant. From $ 1 snack items to nice clean shelves for you coat or phone during class to inspiring quotes on the walls and restroom and the padded floor! Thank you team Tae Bo– I will be back!
