I love these guys! Great selection of guns and friendly service.

Franklin Gun Shop has more inventory than just about any shop within an hour drive. Unfortunately, the store is in Williamson county and many of their customers can afford to spend a few dollars more to get what they want — and that is reflected in their prices on everything — guns, ammunition, gunsmithing, etc. Almost every gun they sell can be found online for about 10% less. As much as I like to support local stores, sometimes it isn’t practical to buy local when you’re buying a $ 1600 shotgun and it costs you $ 150 more at their store. Their prices on ammunition and accessories are often absurd. For example, a bottle of Blackhorn usually sells for about $ 35 – 37. Franklin Gun Shop charges $ 45 for it. I have found that they are always friendly and helpful. I’ve never had any problems with any of the employees or their attitudes. Despite my comments about their high prices, they will price match any local competitors. I am not sure if they price match online stores(such as BudsGunShop), but I wouldn’t really expect them to. I have purchased two rifles from them and was able to negotiate a lower(fair) price on one. The other rifle was in higher demand and they wouldn’t lower their prices. I couldn’t find it anywhere else, so I didn’t really blame them. All in all, the place has as good a selection as you’ll find. I don’t think their prices on firearms is too unusual. It’s no more than you’ll pay at a place like Bass Pro, and this shop will usually negotiate a little bit — especially if you are paying with cash or a debit card. However their prices on ammo, accessories, etc are just too ridiculous.

We are really impressed with not only the large selection in handguns/long guns and accessories, but even more so the personable service we have received while in this shop! Extremely impressed!

Great company to deal with. They have a large amount of inventory. Mike made sure I was very well taken care of and helped me find the right gun for me. In my opinion, customer service is what makes or breaks a business and the whole staff at Franklin Gun Shop really goes the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy. Thanks again!

Went in to drop off muzzleloaders to be cleaned for boss… Wanted to check out Kimber 1911 I’d eyed in past elsewhere. Before I knew it salesman Mark had given fair explanation of features of Kimber I was interested in and was quickly able to identify a handful of additional that I was very pleased with as well(of course he also showed me Christensen Arms Commander 1911 — no doubt pick of the litter — but at $ 4k I will happily stay left lusting for now) — thanks Mark ;‘D

FGS is a family owned business who stock tons of guns you would need to special order elsewhere. They were able to put together a deal I couldn’t pass up for a trade in. I’ve also had good experience with their gunsmithing the two times I’ve needed work done. The work was completed sooner than I expected.

Took my XDS to get tritium sights installed — they did it in 30 min and there was NOT a scratch on my gun. Great job. I have also had to take things back for a refund, no issues. Prices a little high, but they are convenient.

While visiting our in-laws in Nashville, my wife and I went to Franklin Gun Shop to shop for a home-defense shotgun. We were very well attended and oriented by «Mark». He was very patient and knowledgeable. I walked in with a pre-conceived notion of what I wanted and, after Mark’s explanations and education, decided to purchase a basic Remington 37012 gauge. I live in Atlanta and have access to many gun shops, but after my experience with Mark at Franklin Gun Shop, I decided to purchase my new shotgun from him. Good job!

POSITIVE: +They know their shit +They actually have inventory! +Was able to get ammo! NEGATIVE: –There’s too much demand for guns and ammo these days. As a result, the ball is in their court. If you’re not willing to wait to be helped, they dont seem fazed. There’s another person behind you waiting. BOTTOMLINE: Even though you’ll wait forever to be helped, you’ll get quality help when you get it. After visiting a few other shops, I realized that unfortunately this level of service is the best around.

I’ve only bought one gun from them, but if anyone else within driving distance had it, I might not have. They have more inventory than I’ve ever seen under one roof, and that’s probably because its priced way too high to be competitive. The staff knows guns, but some of them have come off a bit rude to me at times. Nice place to look around, but you can find better places to buy from.

VERY impressed with their inventory and prices. Not to mention the professionalism and knowledge of the staff. If you need a holster, long gun, or hand gun they probably have the one you want in stock and at a great price.

I know nothing about guns, nor do I want to, but I happen to have done business with this gun store a couple of times on behalf of my dad, who wanted me to sell some guns for him. The staff here are incredibly friendly and belie the huge amount of firepower and masculinity exuding from the walls. They really are quite sweet, and they walked me through the process of selling rifles. They have a couple of options for selling through them: you can sell to them directly, or if you are more patient, you can get a better price by sharing the profit through a consignment deal. I wanted to do it as quickly as possible, and I was pleasantly surprised by the price they gave me. The store has both new and used guns available. I looked around and saw guns from about $ 100 to well into the thousands. There are themed guns, celebrity endorsed guns, engraved and carved handled guns, camouflaged guns, and collectors guns. There’s also a knowledgeable staff and a great buyer. They always seem busy, no matter what time you go. They are located off the beaten track where the old Uncle Bud’s used to be. You can see them from the interstate.
