ONEOFTHEBESTBARS I’VEBEENTOO. All I had to do is go to Nashville for it. :-) Food is awesome, drink selection is quite extensive(former niche brewers that sold out to big brands), ambiance is awesome(very large doors). I can see why this place is pretty popular.

It’s a pub that serves sushi. Interesting combination with the picnic bench sports bar theme. Service was quick and the menu more varied. I like that their chopped salad comes with salmon and properly chopped but I take issue with the heaps of dressing they drown it in. Also the flavour of their sushi rice is very off — it tastes more like sweet vinegar than rice.

Drinks: A+ Chicken tendors: A+ Burger: A+ I’ve never had something that’s bad here. The food can be a little inconsistent but overall, if you’re in the area and can’t decide where to go to lunch? I just decided for you. Dinner? Probably look elsewhere. Late night? If you see security out front, skip, otherwise eat delicious food.

Great food and great service. We took a big group there and they were very accommodating. They also said you can call ahead if you have a big group. The menu has a wide variety of things from wings and burgers to sushi. Everything was excellent!

We stopped here to shoot some darts and grab a few beers. The first problem is they only have two darts. The second problem is the dart boards are so old they no longer hold the darts once thrown(probably the cause of the lost and broken darts). We mentioned this to the bartender and they noted they have been trying to get new ones for a while. Let us know if that happens.

I’ve been here several times. Always have prompt service and the food was surprisingly good. Last time we went on a Friday and it was MORE than packed so we left. Usually has a large amount of guys that hang out there, but I think it’s a pretty cool place.

I must admit, I was pretty impressed with Drakes. My fiancé and I went here for lunch on a weekday recently. The place was a little empty, but it was snowing and a lot of people were off work, so it made sense. Our server was pretty attentive, although service was a little slow. We ordered two sushi rolls and the chips n’ dips appetizer. The appetizer was surprisingly good(we were initially hesitant at the $ 9 price tag for essentially fancy chips and salsa). However, the chips n’ dips comes with three dips, all of which were really good, even the refried beans. For our entrees we got two rolls, the crab rangoon roll and the rainbow tempura roll, both of which were very tasty and well plated. Not to mention, surprisingly cheap beer if you bring a lot and order large quantities!

The day after Christmas & we had some errands to run. We needed to stop at Sam’s but weren’t feeling the Sam’s Club food court. We decided to stop in here at Drakes. The temperature was 74& sunny(on the day after Christmas?! thanks global warming!) so they had the garage doors open in the bar area. It was sit where ever you want, so we picked on of the high top tables. They have an area behind the bar that is regular seating. The high top tables have bar stools that spin, which made be feel the need to spin slowly around during lunch. Our server was a young lady, I think all the servers on the patio/open bar were women. I guess it’s sports bar like because they’ve got lots of flat screens with sports on. I picked the buffalo chicken quesadilla for $ 13 bucks. I ordered a water & they’ve got the best ice in the world. It’s like Sonic ice, that crunchy kind of ice. The food didn’t take too long to arrive. The quesadilla is big, but for $ 13 bucks I think it could’ve came with a small side. Phillip ordered a burger and the meat patty was kind of in pieces, making it hard to eat. Overall I enjoyed lunch here. They had a large fire going behind us, even though the doors open to the nice weather.

Drake’s is pretty cool place. The bartenders were very friendly and they opened up to our party and accommodated everything that we needed on our stay in Franklin. They have plenty of TVs to catch all the games on and some huge bars that allow large groups to get a drink. So if you are looking for a great time in Franklin at a local watering hole then settle right in to Drake’s.

Since I travel frequently I like to try and find great non-chain restaurants and bars when possible. Staying in Cool Springs, I didn’t expect to find much better than a Chilis(without going downtown). And then BAM! I find this little gem. I saw some complaints about the sushi but honestly I have no idea why anyone would have issues. I eat sushi regularly and this place has some great rolls. But they also have more options. And it’s definitely not just«bar food». I was very impressed. I also like the environment, it’s well designed inside. Plenty of TVs but very classy. It’s obvious that a real restauranteer is involved. I rarely give 5 stars. But was very happy to grab dinner here on a business trip. It’s a much better alternative to Carrabas next door or TGIF across the street.

This is a restaurant that serves bar food(burgers, sandwiches, fries and what not) and… SUSHI. I totally thought that was funny, being they are two totally different items. I guess in a way it’s a good thing to have a healthy option, like sushi, available in a sports bar/restaurant. I decided to not be healthy and ordered a burger. I don’t remember what I ordered, I let the waitress pick the burger for me. It was good and filling, very filling actually. I was so full after. Maybe I should have stuck with a salad… The restaurant was pretty packed for Thursday lunch. I’m guessing this is a popular spot for locals around here. Overall, a cool spot for lunch. one thing I will always remember about this place are the funny artsy signs in the womens’ bathroom: in one stall there is a sign that says«Please remain seated for the entire performance». I thought that was hilarious, haha.

Been here a few times. The food is kinda unremarkable but isn’t bad. Just nothing that memorable. Service is usually pretty good. The best thing is that you can sit somewhat outside as the first third of the restaurant can be opened up to the outside Quesadilla was excellent 10÷29÷15

A solid food joint. The burgers are on point and the appetizers are outstanding as well. The atmosphere is clean and fun. Great tunes in the evening to go along with your football watching. Concerning the football, there are a lot of TVs so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding your game. Lastly, if you end up sitting at the back bar ask for Josie as your bartender /server. She has great customer service, is knowledgable, friendly, and attentive. Overall a great experience at this restaurant.

There’s not a ‘little bit’ of everything to offer at Drake’s — there’s a LOT of everything. It’s all over the place. And, while that could lead to a disorganized hot mess, this kitchen sink approach works for the business. Indeed, it’s a strength. I had a surprisingly good time here and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Y’see, beyond the toney mansions, tree-lined streets and wide open spaces of Franklin lies a newer, strip mall-ier suburban sprawl of excess. Again, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Cities grow. Nashville has finite borders. Youn(er) people who move south of town are going to want things to do that don’t require a high taxi/Über fare or the need for a lot of gas money. Local later night entertainment is a must. Drake’s fills that void. I drove in to a newer, neon-ed strip mall with the sort of businesses I recognized on sight if not by name. I walked in to a sports bar where I was asked to show id. Later, I stumbled in to a full-on club experience happening in the middle of Franklin/Cool Springs. What??? As my buddy and I sat down, I started to go through the menu and was overwhelmed. Like many, I am not a fan of so much food mixing. There’s sushi and burgers. Taps and cocktails. Parents and girls night. Like I mentioned earlier, there’s a lot going on here. Since it was chilly out, I started with a draft stout. Beer in belly, I was relaxed and ready to dig in to the menu. Cautious as I was, I decided to go all-in to my ‘when in Rome’ experience and order some maki. We settled on the tempura shrimp and crunchy munchy(bc I don’t do mayo or cream cheese with my sushi). The tempura shrimp had all the expected crunch I wanted and the cool creaminess of avocado to finish the bite. Eel sauce is always a plus. The crunchy munchy was a roll suited for the hot mess/all-over-the-place-but-it-works vibe: fried crabstick, cucumber, avocado, rooster sauce, tempura, shrimp, and eel sauce. Yes, a mess. Yes, it works. Because we were in the midst of some sort of Saturday night half price everything storm(works for me), the eating didn’t stop. I fully embraced the Drake’s experience and ordered the mushroom swiss burger with scallions and fries. It was delicious and perfectly suited for everything else that was happening. I thought we were done. We weren’t done. After we finished our food, my friend took me to the back of the space and… what? It’s a club? Yes, it’s a club. A club complete with lighting, music, cocktails, crowded bar, bad dancing, people wearing the wrong clothes, people making bad mating decisions, and all the uncomfortable dating rituals that come along with clubs. A club. In the middle of Cool Springs. Well, alright alright alright. I had no idea. While this wouldn’t be my choice of Saturday night hang out, the novelty and shock of what I was experiencing made me love every minute of it. For a messy good time that won’t break the bank and will give you something new to do, Drake’s is a fun way to spend a weekend night. I can see myself doing this again. Soon, even.

Drake’s is a really cool hangout place. And what’s the best part is they offer finger foods like burgers and fries but also sushi and Asian foods. Definitely a new favorite for me.

I was skeptical about a restaurant that serves both burgers and sushi, that is quite the combo! It was pretty busy on the patio area so we grabbed a seat inside the restaurant, it’s a sit yourself kind of joint and that was fine by us. We had to wait a little while before the server came around, but apart from that the service was good. We got the fried pickles to start, but they turned out to be the kind that we don’t like. They were thinly sliced sandwich pickles in the light, salty batter. Definitely not the best fried pickles in town. I ordered two rolls, the spring roll and the philly roll. I liked both of these, they have good quality sushi. I’d like to try out the rest of their grub!

The Good: Man I love this place! Sushi & chili; Lagunitas IPA on tap. Great service from Ben at the bar. One of my favorite places! The Bad: nope! The rest: Awesome beer selection on tap. Food is perfect; great sushi(love the yellow fin tuna spicy roll); good burgers; love the chili. Casual & relaxed. Service is always exceptional and Ben at the outside bar is a service super star! I come here weekly whenI am in town!!!

INSIDE: bigger inside than I thought. First room has a linear bar and TVs with seating at the bar and more tables and seats in the good sized space in front if it. Second room has a circular bar with more seating. I like how the seating is bench style and the room is in a circular shape so you can see everyone. Bar looks cool with signage up above. Darts, shuffle board, big Jenga, TRIVIA for the whole place! They announce questions over the loudspeaker and to the patio. You turn in your groups questions on paper to the announcers stand. Write your team’s name. Winners 1 – 3 win gift cards to Drakes. Can’t use your phones. FOOD: Burgers beer and sushi. What a combo but you know what… the sushi was pretty good! Being from CA I was impressed with the Crab Rangoon roll which I am craving now that I’m back in CA. I’m wondering who the chef is because the seaweed salad was spot on too. Super cool to see Asian Japanese food in the South! I was in PA just a few days before and the server didn’t know what gyoza was and here they had them! They were yummy too. BEER: good amount of options and the server knew enough to give recommendations. They have the tall 120 beer taps. Happy hour started at 7pm. BATHROOMS: multiple stalls, funny signs on the walls, clean. OVERALL: had a really fun night with the yummy food, flowing beer, team effort on trivia, darts, shuffle board, and a great environment to be loud and hang out. Casual atmosphere. Saw a couple having a date and a family with kids so good for all ages. I can see why my friends bring everyone to Drakes for a good time.
