There’s NOTHING about Enricos that my entire family doesn’t love… the staff is great from top management down to the kitchen staff and dining personnel. The menu selections can satisfy any pallet from the wonderful garlic bread, homemade s… See More

I worked for Harry Jr and his family for a few years as a teen and college student. You can’t do better!!! The menu is aprox 95% from scratch. And my single faves(sausage sandwich and Minestrone) are a standing testament. Now to respond to Ms. Monica. Yes they are moving… NO they werent forced out! Mr D.(Enrico) bought A LOT of the land you look at when you look in the area of the restaurant and has sold it at a tidy profit…(Damn smart man!!) and justifyably so… Hell the Walgreens on the corner was his land… used to be the warehouse and butcher shop for the restaurant. Ok enough politics… they are moving… soon…thank the Lord above… because when I go to heaven… its gonna be Enrico’s menu as my mana.

The village has nothing to do with this. They are not being forced out or closing. Harry decided to sell the property and build a new building at a soon to be announced location. They are hoping not to close temporarily while the new building is being built. Still working on it. Been eating there since the 70’s. Very good food.

I have gone here for years. Unfortunately it seems to have lost some of its sparkle. The quality of the food is just ok. I actually tried to order two different things and both times I was told that they are out of the ingredients to make that… sorry. Even the waitstaff wasn’t as attentive as before. Enrico’s is a nice place to eat but no longer one of the best.

I don’t know if Jill below knows this… but Enrico’s is closing. They are being forced out by a grocery store called Marianos. They asked to stay till they could relocate, but I dont think that went through. Last I heard they were supposed to be out in August. That may be the reason for lack on ingredients… but I have no idea. I would like to add that this family run establishment has been a huge part of Frankfort, and their history. What this village is doing to them is beyond unacceptable. Imagine your little ol’ grandma living in the same house all her adult life, and then some BOARD comes in and says«move it old lady, we don’t care if you have a new place to go grannie. but we wish you luck! its a darn shame.

You can’t get a bad meal at this place! They have been around for almost 40 years now and there’s a reason. Awesome lasagna and mostaccioli, great steaks, and they always have a list of specials for the evening, think pork chops, salmon or chicken and dumplings! Their pizza is my favorite in the area, and their homemade pie is just right. Don’t forget to try their minestrone soup, best I’ve ever had. Very comfortable atmosphere, not stuffy or pretentious. This is where the locals go!

Hot buttered garlic bread placed on your table and replenished as needed — this is how a meal begins at Enrico’s. It’s not the way I eat every day but it sure tastes good once in a while. They follow that up with a salad and then everything I have ever had off the menu is delicious and filling. My favorite food is pasta and they have all kinds of it here, with sauces both red and cream, with chili, with meats and even healthy pasta options available. I like eating in the bar if there is a game on or in the dining room. What is tough about this place is that you often have to wait in a long line and their dessert options could use small better and smaller choices. Otherwise, it is a great place for dinner in Frankfort and they have take out for all their great entrees. This is not your average fast food take out but a really good meal to enjoy at home if you or your wife happen to not love cooking. You can even try their pizza, what they started out with years ago. Enrico’s = good honest Italian food.

Tip: wanting to dine-in? Call ahead and get put on the waiting list on a Friday or Saturday night. They get pretty busy. Also, I enjoy sitting in the dining room as opposed to the sports bar type area. It’s a lot quieter. I do agree that the dining room could use a little redecorating. We’ve been here three times and every time it’s consistently good. I take a bite and I know I’m eating good food. The garlic bread they serve is soooo good; it probably has a stick of butter per batch they put at your table, though. We’ll keep coming back for sure!

In short good, bad, and indifferent. Dined here with my girlfriend on 5-21-2011, and i will start with the good. Walked in without reservations and hostess was very professional which is normal, so no complaints. Food is amazing, balsamic vinegar brushetta very rare in most restaurants. most places wouldnt even attempt it, but very good as well as the eggplant and ravioli. I really hate to complain but the service was horrendous. I used to wait tables 10 years ago, and you catered to your customers needs, i took pride in my job. You can always tell a server that wants to be a server and the ones that are being there for a paycheck… A server is not an order taker and that unfortunately is what we experinced, but food excellent and will be back

We’ve been regulars at Enrico’s since the early 70s, and it really hasn’t changed much in all that time. The décor is definately old school, with many old family pictures from Italy decotating the walls. The pizza is very unique tasting, especially the sausage. They have a very sweet sauce, which I normally ask them to go light on, and the crust is excellent. The Railroad Tie and Italian Beef(I like mine with melted mozzerella on top), are great sandwiches and the Baked Italian Soup is a must. The dining room has a mix of booths, which are cozy and private, and tables. Clients tend to be more families and +50 types. Great garlic bread too!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and we were told it wouid be a 45 minute wait. It was more like 10 minutes which was awsome because we were both hungry. The service was great as was the old world atmosphere. I had a salad with ranch to start. It was standard issue, but the garlic bread was dripping in my hand. Can’t ask for more than that! Then the huge plate of fettuchini alfredo came and I was in heaven. Thick, rich and full of flavor with mushrooms on top. Wow! About that time a mummy from the bar passed us by and asked how the food was? It was Enrico himself. He spoke to us for a while and then greeted us good night. The pizza looked pretty good, so I will have to make another trip soon.

My boyfriend and I came here after we saw a writeup in the Southtown. I was here before many years ago but I could not remember why I didn’t want to keep coming. We sat in the bar area which was very cozy with a big screen TV. The cheese sticks were kind of weird, not gooey but like uncooked string cheese with coating. The pizza was meh, everything was good but the sauce not so good. i like a sweet sauce and there was not a lot of flavor to it. The waitress was very talkative and friendly. The only gripe was I wanted some extra sauce that came with the cheese sticks(it was sweet and I wanted to dip the pizza in it) and we needed refills. The waitress was MIA for some time and by the time I was able to ask for the sauce we were done. I felt bad because she brought a big bowl of it and we were done by the time I got it. Overall I don’t think we will be back because I didn’t care for the pizza.

Enricos is the traditional, quintessential, old school Frankfort restaurant. Everyone comes here who lives in Frankfort so behave! They have great traditional Italian dishes but you can get whole wheat pasta and upgraded salad. I adore the Spinach canneloni with a meatball. Everything in life is better with a meatball, don’t you think? The décor is a little tired but it’s holding up! I just wish the desserts were more varied — how about some small taste desserts to go along with the healthy pasta and salads. You really don’t live in Frankfort if you don’t eat here!

Enrico’s has been a part of my life since I can remember. My mom worked here for years and I have many fond memories eating dinner with my family in the caboose part of the restaurant. Sadly, in order to make room for a Walgreen’s, the caboose is no longer there. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. I highly recommend the beef sandwiches. For family gatherings we allways have Enrico’s cater. I took the bf there one night for dinner and the owner even sat down next to us, introduced himself and made sure our visit was going well. It’s a nice place to go for dinner with the fam or a date night, and also to order take out from for a night at home. The pizza is very good too!

This used to be one of the best restaurants around, there are not a lot of family restaurants around, but after stopping the other night I was disappointed they have slipped quite a bit, they need to get their game back.

I used to work there for almost 2 years as a busboy but basically got laid off. Enrico’s is actually not bad of a place, one of the only reasons to go there are the people. The food is good too but the staff are what really make it special. Their pizza is great, garlic bread is awesome, and the Italian beef sandwich is really good too. I know, being an ex-employee I should be blasting the place but deep down it isnt a bad joint.

Like most of the other reviewers, I too have grown up eating Enrico’s. My mom and I used their call ahead option on a Friday night and waited just as long as the people who just walked in off the street so I wouldn’t bother doing that next time. Our waiter Tusk was great. He was super friendly and sweet. Their pepper steak is to die for and the minestrone soup was delicious!
