I love the steak and lengua(beef tongue) here! Also the garlicky mild verde salsa is absolutely delicious! It can get busy with a long line and it has more of a fast food feel inside. So I suggest calling to order for pick-up!

Not having chips and salsa made it very average, very quick. Food was a salsa dip away from average while service was nothing spectacular. Tough to say but if forced on a decision, I’d have to flip the coin between here and the local chipotle.

Good food, even better prices. Lines get pretty long during lunch but worth the wait.

I stop in here often and I am always satisfied with the quality of the food. My last time here I ordered two Els Pastor tacos and they were delicious! They don’t have free salsa and chips… it’s really a carry out place, but there is a LOT of seating inside. One thing I particularly like is that they have carrots and jalapeños on the counter so you can help yourself. The staff is always friendly and eager to accomodate you.

Ok so after coming here after many years I am throwing in the towel on this place, at least for now. This makes 3 crappy experiences in a row for me now. The last time around I had the fajitas and yuck! They were the worst I have ever had anywhere. It was a few vegetables, and mostly onions at that, swimming in a pool a grease. There was very little meat. It was supposed to be steak but now I wonder what it really was. It was also cooked beyond tough. Instead of throwing it out I should have re-soled my shoes with it. The newly remodeled outside of the strip mall is deceiving for what you find when you walk in the door. It is a dive and run down and I do not believe it has been updated, or maybe even cleaned much, since it opened. I am taking my business down the street. Hey owners, WAKEUP!!! There are many other Mexican places in the area which are by far better than yours. You were good once but your place and quality are no longer.

Really cheap and good authentic Mexican food. I really like this place. It’s a nice place for Frankfort. The menu is huge and there is lots of things to choose from. Not a whole lots of vegetarian choices. I recommend the corn with the sour cream spicy. It’s really good. The vegetarian burrito is also good. It’s nothing like the commercialized Mexican places.

Buenas is the place to go to get your Mexican fix! They have great food, especially their steak burritos, and have even better service! The owner is a very hard-working and friendly woman. Her children work there as well. Great family-owned establishment!

food is always very good, the price is fair.\ We go here often, just check your orders they normally get it wrong and skip something.

UGGH… flavorless us an understatement! The«service» was horrific, I asked a few questions and was looked at like I was an idiot for not knowing exactly what’s was in each of their menu items! I think two stars may be a bit gracious but the chips were ok…

Good choice for a quick Mexican lunch as recommended by my coworker, who happens to be Mexican. The staff is friendly. I usually get the veggie burrito(I know it isn’t authentic Mexican food by any means) which has beans, rice, sautéed pepper and onions, cheese. It’s much better than most that contain mostly lettuce. Their salsa and the pickled carrots and jalapeños are a nice touch.

This place has went down hill. They are not putting enough spices on the meat… it’s awful

To begin with, better signage is needed. The only sign is in the window, not on the building. When I walked in, the floor was dirty and had obviously not been swept throughout the day. The cashier was not as friendly as he should have been, which led to a rushed order. Instead of the traditional Coke or Pepsi choices, they serve RC cola and Diet Rite. I ordered the steak burrito combo, which was admittedly better than what the rest of the experience led me to expect. This review could have been three or even four stars based solely on the food. I will likely not be returning to this restaurant due to better options being available in the area.

I had the shrimp burrito special. The shrimp were breaded and tasted like they were bad — very fishy tasting. Only ate half of it. Felt like I was going to be sick before I left. Had my wife drive home. As soon as I got home I got sick. On top of it, we were overcharged. They were busy and didn’t get up to the counter because I was feeling sick from the bad tasting shrimp. If you sit by the bathrooms they will make you sick from the smell. The place is dirty and no one making food wears gloves. Will not be going back. Can get better Mexican at El Cortez in Mokena.

Best Chile Relleno taco ANYWHERE. The older lady that sometimes works there(owner/fedora hat) can be a little grouchy sometimes, but nothing that eclipses the quality of the food. Outstanding. Rice is extraordinary, guac is amazing, mole that is truly exceptional. Note: pull the door HARD. The air pressure makes it tough.

GREAT service, authentic food, yummy horchata! My husband got the Superman burrito and he’s loving it as I type. My dad got chorizo and egg tacos and they were tasty. My mom and I got chicken tacos. Awesome flavor and the avocado we added to it was super fresh. Their pico de gallo was super fresh also and nice and spicy. Definitely coming back again. We came on a Monday night, and the young man who took our order was very helpful, friendly, and kind. The place was packed so they’re on to something!

Best tacos around and always busy. If your calling for takeout — be sure your order is correct because it is always rushed. Even if you order and pay extra for the guac — they do tend to forget it sometimes. But the food is always delicious and the horchata is always awesome!

When I first started going to this place I tried their burritos and tacos and the usual, the items you would order from any new to you Mexican restaurants. I didn’t find them spectacular but they were good and the prices were reasonable. Then I decided to try the chicken quesadilla dinner. Ever since then I’ve been completely addicted to it and that’s the only thing I order from there. You get three of them and with the rice and beans the meal is extremely filling. I usually have one queso leftover. I’m a fairly frequent customer as I’ll call the order in on the drive home from work and grab it once I’m back in Frankfort.

I don’t see why some people hate this place; I thought this place was fantastic. I placed a large order via phone and the guy was polite and repeated my order. I came in to get my food, and the cashier threw in some sauce for the tacos, along with those amazing pickled carrots and jalapenos. The transaction was easy, but was the food good? It was. It was very good. The food was outstanding. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican places in the hoods on Chi-town, and this place can compete with any of them. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. Most tacos are under $ 2, and I got a large nachos with beef for $ 5,89, which was HUGE(easily split between 4 people, and I’m a big eater). The prices for guac were also reasonable, especially compared to what Chipotle charges. The menu is available online, and you can call ahead to avoid waiting around for your food. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. I see no reason why this place deserves less than 5-stars.
