Kids live this place. It’s gotten better since the last time I went. Food is decent for a kid restaurant. Service was good even though they were short handed. Super nice wait staff.

For some reason my son loves this place… not for the food but for his love of trains. Place needs serious updating.

This is the new name for Choo Choo Johnny’s. I went here for a lunch. The kiddos have some arcade games to make them happy before the food comes. Don’t forget to bring money! Before the train comes out, the waitress pushed a whistle, and the kiddos get their food. They also have a train on the wall, and an updated train set. The trains are slow, but the animations on the buildings and crossings work fine though. The service was great! The waitress I had was easy to talk to, and she was very friendly. I never had a problem with the service. Also, the food comes quick! The food is just okay. I had a spaghetti and meatballs. It tasted a bit average. It was warm, but it wasn’t something memorable. The marinara sauce was actual pretty good. The garlic bread here is great! It has good flavor to it. All in all, good restaurant for the kiddos! I will come back.

My son loves trains and loves this place. However, every time I go it seems to get dirtier. If the place was cleaner I might continue to spend money here

Aside from the super cool train theme and cartoons playing everywhere, the food was amazing! I had a cheeseburger on a gluten free bun and — no exaggeration — it was the best burger I’ve had since being diagnosed with celiac disease 7 years ago! Most restaurants either don’t offer gluten free buns or if they do, they serve it as-is, which is usually super dense and dry. The bun at All Aboard was soft and tasty without falling apart. The fruit cup was also fresh and delicious. So, being a restaurant for kids, I wasn’t expecting much but left a very happy customer. Gluten free diners should definitely check this place out!

I had a great time here. I can’t wait to take the little one here. We did have a bit of a mishap with the train derailing and spilling our food everywhere. Luckily the soup didn’t fall on our laps.

fantastic service and lots of distractions for the kiddos… the food is nothing amazing(or healthy, haha) but i do appreciate that i was able to have a veggie melt vs. a salad and fries for lunch. i also appreciate that one of the sides is broccoli — not only for myself but so refreshing to offer a vegetable(that’s not raw carrots) for a kid’s meal side. our almost 2-year old could not get enough of the train riding overhead, the train delivering our meals and the interactive train set by the window. the servers were just so accommodating and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. they offered to take pictures of my family and even reminded us to take advantage of the Unilocal and facebook deals. if we lived closer, we’d be regulars.

The food was great and so was our server! However, I didn’t appreciate the manager/owner sitting at a table yelling at the staff across the restaurant. It made my husband and I uncomfortable.

Since our last visit, someone has been hard at work. Upgrades to the ambiance and much improvement to the menu, both the variety and quality. Service was friendly. Food was a little slower than we would have liked but the place was packed for lunch rush. If you have a kid under 5, it’s a good spot for a fun family meal. We will be back.

I don’t understand why someone would give this place a negative review. This is not Ruth Chris steak house and people need to get over themselves. My boy who turns 2 this Saturday loved this place. Regardless wether or not I had a good time(which I did) This experience is about the kids. My kids had a great time and the staff was awesome. As a parent you like to see your kids have a good time. That’s what you go here for. The food was delicious. I had the 3rd shift burger and it was good. I ate every last bite, it hit the spot and I was satisfied. As far as price goes. You need to understand there is overhead the establishment has to pay for. $ 9 for a burger and fries is fair price. You can bring your own beer. I had a birthday party couple weeks ago and the beer tab was over $ 100. I have no complaints and scheduled to go back this weekend.

The staff is very nice. The prices are reasonable. The food is better than the previous owners food. Best of all the kids loved it.

This place has a really cool idea for kids. Trains everywhere. Even your food is delivered by train. Kids thoroughly enjoy it. While you wait there are arcade games so bring quarters. The big negative is the maintenance of the place. It could seriously use some work. And a thorough cleaning. It doesn’t appear that cleanliness is important to the owners.

I love this place, but more importantly my sons loves this place. It’s a clean and kid safe environment for the most part, so I’m not afraid to let me boys(5&2 years old) run around. You can sit at the counter where you get train delivered food, or at a table off to the side. The train room in the back has some wood train sets and small ride-on train for toddlers. Up front there’s an interactive O scale model train that keeps the kids busy. There are also video games, prize machines and a small stationary ride on train. Oh yeah, so much fun stuff for the kiddies I almost forgot to add they do serve food. So I think you can all guess this isn’t a place you’re going to go for special occasion dinner. Unless of course that special occasion is a 5 year old’s birthday. They have hamburgers, hot dogs, and a collection of adult food that I haven’t had the time to explore. I’ve been here three times so far and haven’t been disappointed with any of it. While I’ll admit that food matters, at the end of the day, you’re either going to be one, or two types of parents that visit this place; A. You sit down and enjoy your food while your kids play, or B. you don’t get to eat warm food because you’re to busy chasing your kids back to their seat trying to get them to eat. Basically go there, let your kids have a blast and have ice cream before you leave.

Great service and very kid-friendly. They have a few vegetarian options and healthier side options for kids too(fresh steamed broccoli) instead of chips or fries.

My boys are train lovers and boy do they love this restaurant! The food is delivered to our seats via train, there are arcade games, and even a small train toy area for hands on fun. The food is fantastic but a bit pricey. They have a lot of yummy adult choices. The last time I was here the toys looked a bit run down but this time they have been replaced by some new ones. Pleasantly surprised.

Brought my kids to meet up with friends and their kids. A train themed lunch play date. I was looking forward to it, since my son likes watching Thomas and playing with his trains. We met up at 12:30, played in the back play room while we waited for the lunch rush to die down and sat down closer to 1. We didn’t leave until 2:30. Service was very slow and our orders came unevenly which is torture for toddlers who don’t understand the concept of waiting for everyone to be served before eating. ;) The soup of the day wasn’t updated on the sign, so my friends ordered one kind of soup and received another. They were ok with it, but it was confusing. Food was ok. Perhaps there weren’t enough waitresses or it was just a busier day than normal, but I just got the feeling the staff was rushed. We had to wait and wait for the check and when I went to pay, the girl checking me out didn’t give me correct change even when I asked her to double check. By this time I had two melting down children and it’s not worth it to quibble over a few cents, but I was surprised. I really don’t like to give negative reviews, but honestly for a place marketing itself for small children, the service needs to really step it up. Just an FYI if you come here trying to fit in lunch before nap time.

School’s out, so I’m home for the summer(woo hoo!) and like to have a variety of activities to keep me and Z busy. I had been wanting to visit Train Car Tommys but didn’t really know what to expect. In this case that was a good thing because it was way better than expected! There are trains everywhere. Everywhere? Everywhere! They’re around the ceiling, they bring your food out, there is a train table with trains running and there is a train room with train toys and Thomas The Tank Engine on repeat. The kids love it and it is encouraged to run around while you wait for your food. Can we only go here from now on? It is a little kids dream and yet it works for parents too. The food is good and reasonably priced — especially when you consider you are getting a meal and the use of the play space. We’ll be back for sure this summer and once Z figures out a way to ask to come here, it could become a weekly destination.

I thought our visit here was completely fun. It was my daughter’s idea as a rainy day activity for her daughter. I went thinking it would be just something to endure and a way to see Z. I actually had a great time. The high chairs fit OVER the stools so Z could be completely by the action on the counter. Trains were super fun and menu was pretty good. I shocked myself and liked my sliders, I did! In a train car children’s restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and I just thought it was an all around fun time. I wouldn’t come here without a child, but with one it’s amusing and tasty.
