I bought a groupon and set up my first appointment here. Roberta was great! I had horrible highlights which lead to awful roots from a previous salon and Roberta got my hair back the exact way I wanted it. She was really gentle doing my hair which was a huge plus because I have really fine hair that tangles easily. She also took a lot of time to carefully and evenly cut my layers and angles which I feel most hairdressers rush and make uneven. I would definitely recommend her she was super friendly and knowledgeable. Very pretty salon inside too!

I haven’t had the opportunity to get my nails done in a while, and I enjoyed the experience so much. I felt comfortable and well taken care of, with a relaxing massage during my mani pedi and refreshments being offered. Very nice. Today I had a cut and blow dry with Natalia and I couldn’t be more pleased. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and was able to create a great style even though I had some limitations she had to work within. She asked a lot of clarifying questions and made me feel like I was in great hands. Very pleasant staff and overall top-​notch service. Loved everything about my experience and will definitely be back.

Natalia P. gave me a cut, condition, and partial foil today and it looks phenomenal. I never really know what I want done with my hair, just that I want it to look good, and she definitely understood my vague instructions and gave me a cut I’m comfortable with but looks fresh.
The salon’s environment was lovely, and the front desk attendant and girl who washed my hair were great as well. I was offered a variety of drinks upon arriving (water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, wine, and more) and salon also features a boutique which was fun to peruse before my appointment. I highly recommend this salon and look forward to returning soon!

Got a groupon for a keratin treatment, was asked for a voucher number when I called to make the appointment. The person who got the number marked it as redeemed. When I showed up at the appointment I was asked for the number again but groupon does not let you see redeemed coupons. The ladies at the front desk were not friendly by any means and asked me for my phone to verify if groupon does not let you see redeemed coupons. I have been treated much better at Newbury street salons!
They charged me an extra 30 $ for a haircut even though I had a package (190 $) for both the haircut and a keratin treatment! Stay away from this place!

A groupon brought me in today. I was greeted immediately by a very friendly young lady. Then as I browsed the merchandise Francisco introduced himself and said he would be taking care of me. We walked to his chair and he un clipped my hair and just asked me what I would like as far as cutting, I explained and he gave some helpful suggestions. I was getting a Keratin so he asked if I had done it before. I like to relax while I get my hair done so I loved that he wasn’t too chatty. He just quickly reminded me of how long to wait to wash my hair and to use the correct products to maintain my treatment. I have very thick and lots of hair with most hairdresser I can tell by the end they are a bit frustrated with how much hair… Francisco was just as tender as when he started. I loved everything about me experience here.

Been to many salons in my life and never found one so friendly! These ladies are amazing, fun and accommodating! Brazilian Blowout was on the agenda and they are adding time for a color with no problem. So excited!

I have been going to Ana Paula for many years to get waxed and also for occasional facials as I can. Oh and a spray tan once! I have come to view her and her sisters as friends, and love seeing them when I go to the salon. They have a lovely salon, and I love supporting sisters whenever I can. Ana Paula is attentive, sincere, and good at what she does. Highly, highly recommend her. They are competitively priced for the service they offer — only wish I could afford to go more often!

I had my hair done by Roberta. She was very nice and professional and had great hair herself so I was excited to have her do my hair. I had a cut and style that I signed up for and it came out mediocre at best. I admit I do have hard hair to work with as it’s thick, dark and curly but my hair responds well to style and blow dry. My layers weren’t blended well and now that I did the blow dry myself my hair looks like my top layer is a helmet. The midsection of my hair is very bulky and the layers that were cut provided no movement to the bulk. My hair is a little past my shoulders and a proper cut is needed to add body and movement to my hair since it’s so thick and heavy. I’m from out of town and I noticed that everyone in this salon is Brazilian and spoke Portuguese so maybe they preferred Brazilian clients? Don’t know but I felt out of place and wasn’t wow’d.

Recieved a massage and a gel manicure here. No complaints about the manicure. Service was good, employees were all nice. The massage however was pretty terrible, probably the worst Ive gotten especially for the price I paid. Came here with my mother in law and she felt the same way. No technique at all, felt like the masseuse was rubbing my back up and down repeatedly with little to no variation, and didnt even attempt to get the knots out of my neck and shoulders. Total disappointment and waste of money.

It’s hard to believe this salon has only a 3 star overall total.
I’ve been going to this salon since July of 2013 and I’ve had several facials with Kelly and the last one in December 2014 was with Danielle because Kelly wasn’t available. Both of them are very nice and I enjoyed the facials very much. They use a lavender massage oil and I’ve almost fallen asleep twice because I was so relaxed while the service was being performed.
I’ve also had one full body 90 minute massage with Ana Paula when my regular massage therapist was on vacation and it was very good.
Next, I have always found one of the owners, Fernanda, who I have frequently interacted with at the front desk, to be beautiful inside and out.
I also like browsing through their boutique area before or after my appointment. They also offer tea, filtered water, etc. and a comfy place to sit.
My daughter inadvertently gave me an Elizabeth Grady gift certificate for Mothers Day last year so in September 2014 I went there to spend it. The reason I left Elizabeth Grady in July 2013 and found Bella Sisters was because they are constantly trying to up-​sell you. Typically I would be in the middle of getting the facial for $ 80-​$ 125 dollars and they will say I «really need» or could «really benefit» from this extra ampule of collagen or whatever that is going to cost at least $ 10 — $ 15 extra AND/​OR they try to push you to buy the products they used for your service when you go to cash out. Ultimately, I always ended up spending more than I planned when I walked in the door.
So, far I haven’t ever experienced the up-​selling issue at Bella Sisters. They seem to only bring up buying the products if you ask about them. They let you browse around and they don’t bug you.
So, now that the Elizabeth Grady gift certificate is spent (hopefully I won’t receive another one), I was happy (and kind of relieved) to go back at the Bella Sisters Salon recently where I knew I wouldn’t feel pressured.
Anyway, that’s a description of what my experience has been at this salon. They get 5 stars from me. :)

Roberta at Bella Sisters has cut my hair for the last five or so years. She always does a great job and listens to my requests regarding length, layers, etc. I have fairly curly but fine hair which can be hard to cut — but it always ends up looking great!
Recently (within the last year or so), I also began seeing Ana Paula for my eyebrow waxing. She, too, does a fantastic job and listens to my requests — which is very important considering how a bad eyebrow job can make you look completely crazy.
With the exception of the holiday rush (which is to be expected) I’m always able to book an appointment within the same week and Fernanda and the other receptionists are always cheerful and accommodating. I find their prices to be extremely reasonable for the services they provide. Give them a try — you won’t be disappointed!

I will start by saying my review might be a little biased because I am a stylist myself. The customer service was great they took me as a walk in, the salon concept is cute but a little outdated, the walls were dirty and the chairs are ripped. I got my haircut by Natalia, who is very nice, but I had to lead most of the conversation. My hair cut request was a little complicated and I ended up telling her to change it. She didn’t check the cut after she was finished and didn’t blend my layers together. I had to come home and redo my layers and texture the cut. On the plus side she does an amazing blow out that hid all the flaws until I got home. I don’t think I will go back to Bella Sisters.

I just visited Bella Sisters for the first time the other day to have my nails done, little did I know that the friendly girl doing my nails, Danielle, is a licensed esthetician in not only Massachusetts but Rhode Island and Connecticut as well!
Upon learning this news, I shared with her my own skin concerns and she offered me her knowledge and expertise to recommend solutions for my concerns (anti-​aging and sensitivity). She had an opening for a facial right after my appointment so I took advantage of it.
Hands down one of the best facials I have experienced! Danielle LISTENED to my concerns and goals and followed through with her product selections and techniques. She explained what she was doing and WHY and helped me discover my own bad skin habits that I need to end. The facial was informative and relaxing all at the same time, I almost fell asleep during her neck and shoulder massage.
I definitely recommend Danielle to anyone looking for that professional spa experience whether it’s for nails, a facial, or waxing. (Might even try a makeup lesson with her in the near future)

Over the past two years, I went to Bella Sisters four times for a Brazilian Blowout. The first time, I will admit, I had a Gilt City voucher for a discounted treatment and so I cheated on my normal stylist. I had a good treatment though, so went back three more times and paid full price.
Natalia was my stylist each time and was very friendly. As I previously mentioned, the first three times I had the treatment, I had no complaints. My hair looked gorgeous and the treatment lasted several months. The most recent time though my treatment grew out in less than a month. I did nothing differently and used all of the recommended products. A month is unacceptable when you are paying $ 350+ and are told that the treatment lasts for a few months.
I called the salon and spoke with Fernanda. She informed me that they could perhaps do a touch up of my roots for $ 300!!! Other than that though, she somewhat rudely told me that it was not their problem and they could not help me. She even tried to blame it on the summer weather — note I had gotten a Brazilian Blowout the previous summer and before that I had gotten a Copolla Keratin Treatment during the summer without ever having that problem. I will admit that I called after about 6 – 7 weeks because I was out of the country, however their level of customer service is appalling. I was not a first time customer and they should have at least tried to make things right. $ 350+ wasted.
I have learned my lesson; I won’t cheat on my stylist anymore.

I received a really bad haircut. She cut WAY too much off. I am now left with the shortest hair i have ever had and I HATE it. The entire time she was rolling her eyes. I will NOT be back. I feel like maybe she did this on purpose. I am still reveling over the fact that this happened. BEWARE!

Kelly is amazing I get asked all the time who dose your hair i always have to tell them about Kelly. I driver over 30 minutes to get my hair done with her. It always turns out great
The other staff there is so nice I alley look forward to coming and there very friendly and welcoming

I loved this salon! I’ve tried a few in the area and none were great. My stylist went above and beyond with my difficult hair. She took her time, and everyone was warm and welcoming. They had a groupon for a great deal! Can’t say enough about how great my experience was!

I say this often but this is a find! A hidden gem!
Buy with me had an offer for a one hour massage for $ 30 so why not try it out.
I do not go pamper myself as much as I’d like to but that is probably true for quite a few of us.
I keep on trying to find just the right place and I felt really great when I left.
The salon is beautiful and modern. It is small but cozy. The people are very friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions to ask about what products and services they provide and they were so informative, kind but not pushy.
I was late getting to my appt and go a bit lost and they were very kind about it. I took the turn into the shopping plaza and their drive way was one turn before. The entrance is tucked away in the back so it wasn’t so obvious to me from the street.
The massage itself was really relaxing but I could also feel her get the knots out of my legs and lower back. I left feeling like I had a massage which sometimes isn’t always the case.
The bed was warmed and comfortable. I’ve gone to massages where I’ve enjoyed the massage but felt either cool or cold which for me doesn’t allow my muscles to relax as much.
The massage included my head, face, arms, hands, legs, back, and shoulders. I wish I hadn’t fixed my hair and make up before I went but I didn’t look like Medusa when I left either.
