Went in today(6÷9÷16) at about 7:30pm. Got great service from the cashier and cook. Fast, patient and very friendly. Tasty food… will definitely come back.

Was in town for some business and wanted a healthy alternative to the greasy burger joints at every corner. Found this place and gave them a try. What I found was Terrible food, the chicken was burn and the salad was baby fist size. I don’t recommend this place whatsoever to anyone.

Damn. increase in minimum wage and they sure pass the bill on to the customer. Price of beef veggie bowl went up 81 cents since December. $ 8.26 for a bowl of rice steamed vegetables(the cheap ones too) and meat? ouch! I liked coming here for a work lunch because its good«healthy» and cheap. not any more. Panda express right across the street you can get a 2 item combo for under $ 8 bunch of different goodies and more food too. You guys don’t even fill up the bowls any more there’s still space for more of everything in there.

Hungry enough to eat shoe leather? So dazed and weary after a long drive that you can hardly see or think straight? OK then, you might be satisfied eating here. Go on in and order your gristle and blah-veggies. We stumbled onto this place at the tail end of a very long drive from the SF Bay. We were tired and hungry and thought it would be cool too try something new since there are no Flame Broiler’s in the SF area. Thank goodness for that last fact, since it will help us to forget our experience here once we get back home. The beef was so tough that my teeth hurt. The chicken was dark meat so they couldn’t screw it up too much– get the chicken, not the beef, if you insist on eating here. If the lack of flavor overcomes your sense of health-consciousness go ahead and pump on some«magic sauce»(aka teriyaki sauce). My recommendation: there is a Panda Express across the street and a Mediterranean place next door, go to one of those places instead!

I come here almost every other day for lunch for the last couple of months. It’s close by in an industrial plaza with meh-meh parking(–1) during lunch. I get the works bowl, no rice, all veggies with green onions. It’s consistent. Customer service is nice and friendly. Place is clean and has various group tables. There’s an outside patio also. Use the green hot sauce. Parking gets packed cuz of the other restaurants nearby.

I still eat here every day(Monday through Friday). I spend a few thousand dollars a year here lol. I love this place. Also, I’ve now lost almost 70 pounds eating here(to the point that I actually need to start gaining weight back).

I LOVETHISLOCATION! I come here for lunch at least once a week. I have visited other locations before but I really prefer this one. I get the chicken veggie(only broccoli) bowl with brown rice. The mini bowls are awesome but I figure for a little more $ you can get the big bowl. The chicken is grilled to perfection but not dry at all! And the veggies are fresh and crisp. I love eating here because its lighter and a healthy choice for lunch. It wont bloat you but fills you up. It does tend to get busy during peak lunch hours since its near office businesses near the freeway, but its worth the wait. You can also call in your order for fast pickup.

Ok so, I used to frequent this place. Small brown rice and chicken bowl, half rice only. However this company is never consistent. Either the rice isn’t cooked enough or the chicken is burned. They always put too much rice too, despite making it clear I want only half! It’s a decent place to get clean food, but the cost isn’t worth the mistakes they seem to be making often.

Flame Broiler. I am surprised I am reviewing this place, but I really enjoyed the chicken bowl here. Yes, I was super hungry at the time. With that being said, I really devoured that rice bowl with grilled chicken like no one’s business! When I was done I wished there was more! Take as much hot sauce to bring the heat and add as much«magic sauce» as you want. Go ahead and inundate your rice bowl with the saucy goodness of Flame Broiler. Ask for the green onions to top it off. Yeah your breath won’t smell as nice, but would you really bring a date here anyway? There ya go. Enjoy your meal. High five the workers on the way out. Quick meals done right at Flame Broiler in Fountain Valley.

Generally, this place is OK. Oftentimes, the rice in your bowl has chunks that are dried out and plastic-like. Have you ever bitten into plasticized rice? It’s fucking terrible. So I’m taking one star off for that. I’m also taking one star off for the music they play at this location. It’s Christian Contemporary. Look, I don’t care if you want to convert me — put a bible on each table. But this music is just awful. It makes Justin Bieber sound soulful. At the very least, play Gospel music. At least those artists sound like their hearts are in it. The garbage they play here is vapid, over-produced, pop rubbish that only a post-menopausal fundamentalist woman would listen to on purpose. Besides, it doesn’t work. Every time i leave this location I sacrifice an animal to Satan. Just because of the music. Hail Satan.

Good food, reasonable wait time, very filling. I like their half chicken half beef bowl with all veggies instead of rice.

I’ve had my fair share of Flame Broiler, but have finally come to admit that Waba Grill is 10x better. Went here to pick up a quick lunch and the service was awful. I stood there for a second to decide what I wanted to order. Not only did she get my order wrong twice, but the cashier wouldn’t change the order to just the bowl and decided to give me the combo since she rang it up already. I only wanted the chicken bowl and she decided to give me a combo? Thanks? I didn’t really need the additional sugar and waste money… but okay… The service is really lacking here and everyone is in their own little world. My food sat on the counter for a good five minutes and I didn’t know it was mine until I went up to ask. Again, thanks for your service? Not coming back here. it’s gotten more expensive and the service is non existent! FAIL!

I come here pretty much every time I’m starved for food. It’s affordable(chick lunch special) and it’s filling. It’s meat with rice in a a bowl… never had issues with the meat or service. The only comment is the rice is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s a little hard sometimes it’s a little soggy. If it wasn’t for the rice inconsistencies, I would have given it a 4.

Actually, for a bit of trivia that I’ve discovered on my own, this location in Fountain Valley on Newhope seems to be the same location where the Flame Broiler shot their commercials that air on local television around Southern California. I know so, because when I see the commercials, I realize that’s how it looks when I eat at this location. In any case, this location doesn’t have any punch/loyalty cards or anything, but what they do have is a lunch chicken bowl special with a drink that comes out to be cheaper than other Flame Broilers in the area. I always ask for it, and I have to keep in mind to ask for white meat next time… a request I tend to forget when actually ordering. The parking area is decent, but can get a bit crowded during the peak lunch hour. Access to the strip mall where this FB is located is also quite difficult as you can only enter it legally coming from Talbert from the west eastbound. The dining room is larger than most Flame Broilers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was their flagship restaurant. In fact, you may catch a glimpse of franchise owners meeting with other potential franchisees discussing about opening other locations sitting around you.(I have on a couple occasions). The service is efficient and quick and the layout is pretty organized. I can usually take a power lunch here in under half an hour with the quick turnaround service and preparation. I would just suggest that this Flame Broiler start considering punch cards and expanding their credit card acceptances to American Express and Discover cards. Doing so many serve to bring people who are loyal fans of those cards and on the fence of going here, into the restaurant. Oh, and cable/satellite television… perhaps running the day’s news. It would be appropriate, considering the number of business people who come here.

It’s crazy to see how much this franchise has blown up! Have any of you seen the ads on OCTA buses? There’s even a drive-thru location in Fullerton! I’ve been to a ton of Flame Broilers all over OC. this one is my favorite. I usually do their $ 5 Chicken Bowl deal w/brown rice(it’s $ 5.75 now). Sometimes I splurge and get their Chicken Veggie Bowl(chicken, rice and veggies). The chicken is never over-cooked and always cut into perfect little pieces. Kudos to the cooks! It can get kinda crazy during the lunch rush, but they do a heck of a job to expedite the food.

I don’t love Flame Broiler, but sometimes you just want something cheap, quick and somewhat healthy that’s not fast food. I generally avoid reviewing chains, but I frequent this location with my friends enough that it merits a review. This particular location is bigger and cleaner than most I’ve been to. I like their beef bowls the best, but chicken bowls are pretty good too and are often on special with a drink. Use their«magic sauce» and hot sauce liberally. It’s good stuff. I do think it’s funny how they charge more if you want all white meat. Only American restaurants will charge more for white meat. Asian restaurants charge more for dark meat because they know that’s where the flavor is! Just sayin’… 3.5 Stars

This location has one of the best customer service anyone could ask for. The tables are clean and condiments, drink station, utensils, and napkins are on the side. Restrooms are also clean. They even allow us to use the coupons we find in the weekly newspaper! Unlike some other locations who give us dirty looks… in this economy, we are all struggling to make ends meet, why not allow us to use the coupons your company posts? Thank you kindly. Oh, they even have a brown rice option! Score! Give this place a try the next time you are in town. It’s one of the healthiest meals you can give to your body. Tip: They open at 10am… my brother and I came here at 9:30 one time and were surprised they weren’t open yet.

Lunch specials here rock my socks baby! I love their bowls, one bowl will fill you up that’s fo sheezy. I suggest trying the ½ and ½ bowl. ½ beef, ½ chicken, with the scallions AND veggies with… BROWN rice! Yes, I said it. If you ain’t down with the brown… then you probably look a bit more chubster than you should be. White rice adds the flab honey. The magic sauce here is amazing too. I used to grab lunch here and maybe fill up 3 – 4 tiny cups of this sauce and 4 – 5 cups of the spicy sriracha type sauce. Mmmm, I love me some sauce… all ova my face ;) jk! Great customer service and you can call in your order too!
