Super slow and disorganized service! We had a group of 11. DONOT come here with a group!

NOTE: Think more restaurant and less wine room. Of course they have wine, but perhaps a more modest selection that most wine bars. That being said, this place is practically perfect in every way. It is cozy, it is intimate, it is thoughtfully decorated and feels local and neighborhoody. From the hostess, to the waitstaff, to the chef(who we had the pleasure of meeting), the entire staff at Winslow’s was warm and welcoming. And then there is the food. There is some brilliance in the menu design. It is a menu that most can identify with… creative without being either off-puttingly inventive(c’mon you know what I mean) or overly ambitious. It is heavy on traditional favorites… crab cakes, meatballs, tomato soup in the starters… steak and salmon standards in the entrees. The chef described the Shrimp & Grits as the house specialty. There are also daily specials… Halibut over a butternut squash purée and Chicken Masala when we visited. Our food was very, very good. We sat near the kitchen and we got to see other’s dishes come out, and every single one looked beautiful. The shrimp & grits looked special indeed and the salads were beautiful. I can’t decide what I will order on our next visit. I have to say that I was surprised to see another Unilocaler describe it as pricey. My companion and I both decided that it was reasonably priced… specials in the low to mid $ 20 range. The wedge we split was $ 8. On the night we visited it was 30% off of bottles of wine, so that helped too. Although I live in Dallas, I visit Fort Worth regularly and I can see returning to Winslow’s often!

I went there for brunch on a Saturday and it was the cutest coziest place. I do have to say the tables are a bit small.(We didn’t know what to order that would fit our table!) But the food made up for it. I ordered the Cowtown tacos that were just amazing! I will need to go back and try other selections/menus. The mimosas also looked like the perfect ratio of OJ and champagne. Let’s not forget to mention the place was full of beautiful people! Great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Winslow’s dining experience during the week is upscale and very good but I didn’t come here to write about that(since there are plenty of great dinner places in Fort Worth on par with this one.) Instead, let’s focus on their weekend brunch featuring the BEST mimosas in town. When you have a friend in town(or from out of town) and it’s kinda awkward because you feel guilty being so busy and not staying in touch with them, go have brunch here… and get a few mimosas. Between the generous pours and the terrific food, the social tension melts away and the conversation flows freely. :-) Always drink responsibly. Winslow’s weekend brunch has their terrific food hosted in amazing ambiance. It’s a great way to start a Sunday/workweek.

45 minute wait with several empty tables and one family of 4 waiting. Makes no sense. I think the servers might be high maintenance.

Excellent place for brunch, cocktails, or dinner. I am so lucky i live by this cool, historic, little spot. The wine selection is pretty large, and a great price ranges. Happy hour is a great time to go in but they always have inexpensive featured wines as well. Either way the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. One of my favorite bars in fort worth for sure, and I’ve seen it just get better over the years. The patio is also great– live fire pit and open seating are really nice on mild evenings. If you haven’t been there, its worth checking out. I could see how its maybe not for everyone stylistically, but It might be the best«date» spot in fort worth.

We used to be fans but not anymore after we got to go food the other night. Mediocre at best. Staff was rude. Nowhere to park. I’m afraid this place hit its plateau and now everyone’s moving on to somewhere else.

I used to love Winslow’s. They had great food and a good wine selection. Patio is great when the weather permits. I was terribly disappointed in my last visit(9÷13÷15). We started with a margherita pizza and it came out only slightly warm and very hard. Could hardly bite or cut through it. When I went to take the first bite off of my plate I saw a black hair on the plate. They did offer another small appetizer to make up for it but they didn’t really apologize or offer to replace all of our plates to be sure we all had clean ones. Kind of ruined our appetites. Also, be forewarned that the happy hour drink specials are one type of wine, one beer and one martini. So if you don’t like that wine, you pay full price for any other wine during happy hour. Also, I have had the crab cake there before and it is TINY for $ 15. I much prefer Eddie V’s for excellent service and a great wine selection. They have fantastic happy hour appetizers, including a huge, delicious crab cake for less than $ 15.

Love this place! Friendly faces, great customer service. We came in Friday evening enjoyed a glass of wine(friendly bartenders) & food looked great. Decided to come for the Sunday brunch… Phenomenal! Mimosas & food were fantastic. There was a bit of a wait for a table inside(sat in patio area) but as soon as room freed up they pushed to get us inside!(Texas heat) Owner & staff are just very accommodating!!!

Cute little restaurant tucked in off camp Bowie. We came in on a busy Sunday for brunch. Remember to call ahead or reserve if possible. We had a large group and they were very accommodating. This rating is based on my food alone. I had the texas Benedict after reading everyone’s reviews and was disappointed. The cornbread was very dry and crumbled upon trying to eat. The brisket was not that tender and the egg was ok. Overall I wished i got the pizza instead. The highlight was the cheese plate. I’ll be back for the wine but would probably try a different item menu. My friend had the French toast and thought the side of bacon was better. No one had complaints about their pizza.

What a cute little spot! I felt right at home when the staff sat me in a cozy corner for a nice date with my husband. The menu was downright awesome. I really couldn’t decide on what to get. We settled on a triple dipper of hummus(amazing I might add) and the special pasta of the night to split. Every bite was eaten. Although it’s a bit pricey, the food and atmosphere are totally worth it on a date night. They even have a cozy patio outside complete with fire pit. Highly recommended.

Nice local wine bar, nice selection of wine and drinks. Tried the crab cake and tuna appetizer both were very nice. The atmosphere, in or out, is very accommodating and the crowd seems to be local, Nice pour of wine try them out.

This is my favorite place in Fort Worth. We go pretty religiously every Sunday even though a few of us moved to Dallas. Best brunch atmosphere you could ask for and the service is top notch(Jason!), but the Jim Bowie, Cowtown tacos, eggs Benedict and bottomless mimosas keep us coming back for more. Every Sunday. Cannot wait for the Dallas location to open!

Jiving scene Superb service Delicious food(like seafood & meat offerings) Tasty hooch Happy hour is cool with discounted drinks and appetizers. The thick pepper crusted ahi tuna salad is my personal favorite dinner and priced $ 10 at HH. Packs protein, greens, and mouth exploding pepper crust. Fun joint to dine with buddies or alone. Friendly bar area

I came in for brunch on a Saturday. Place had nice décor and a great brunch atmosphere. Was impressed with the creativity on the menu and wish I could have tried more things. Would have loved to give them 5 stars but the service and over cooked eggs were a deal breaker 5⁄5 on cocktails They made one of the best bloody Mary’s I have ever had. The mimosa was mixed great proportions and I had a Moscow mule was perfect. 4.5 /5 on food For appetizer we had the hummus sampler. They were good but not great. The pita bread was sprinkled with some granulated garlic which was awesome. I had the rancheros eggs. My brother ordered the Texas Eggs Benedict and we shared. The rancheros were nice and light. The eggs were way over cooked for«over easy» but the ranchero sauce made up for it. The Texas Benedict was huge and piled high with brisket stacked on cornbread. Brisket was flavorful and juicy. Very impressed. 3⁄5 on service For how slow the restaurant was, the service was really lacking. We had a group of 6 people and each one of us had to hunt down the server at one point to ask for something. When we found our server he was great… But he wasn’t really around.

My favorite place on Sunday, besides church! It’s a small fabulous hideaway near west 7th. Free valet(but please tip valet!) it can be a bit crowed because it’s small, but the staff makes sure to keep your mimosas filled while you wait. I highly suggest the Cowtown Tacos, or their Egg Benedict. We did have to wait awhile for food, check also took a bit, but did I mention the staff kept our mimosas filled. Great for family’s(probably older kids) girls brunch, or date. They do close around 2, to set up for the evening. Don’t be that guy who walks in at 130! Get there around 1230, so you can enjoy yourself, this place deserves it! Can’t wait to go back and try their dinner!

Home run — Winslow’s offers great experience, friendly staff, and tasty food. We are somewhat regulars at Winslow’s, we go at least once every few months. Our recent experience was the best though. It was my wife’s birthday and we had a medium size party made up of family. Our waiter, Peter, was energetic and eager to please, but not too hovering; it was like he knew exactly when we needed him without him being on top of us all night. Very nice. The other aspect, and I really have to thank him for this, was the general manager Eric personally came over to our table, greeted us, and wished my wife a happy birthday. I’d call that over and above service. This is a place that ensures you will have a good time, they want to take care of you and give you a stellar experience, and are eager to learn ways to improve on their service. We had fun and we will definitely be back!

Second time in and we sampled the menu more extensively than first visit. Some winners, a couple disappointments. First, a repeat comment about the great vibe. Winslow’s was crowded at 8 pm on a Monday night. A 30 minute wait for a table on the patio, so we opted for an interior 2 top. Great people watching, from the 7 single ladies celebrating a 30th birthday, to the 2 seasoned professional couples sitting behind us debating the future of the medical profession, to the well dressed cougars at the bar, lots to see and experience. We tried both white(Chardonnay) and red(Bordeaux) wines. Both were excellent, in the $ 10 – 12 per glass range, typical for Winslow’s. Nice 5 oz pours. We were hungry, so we ordered a couple things. First the cheese plate with sausages($ 31) that included great portions of 4 different cheeses, grilled bread and half a plate of grilled sausage with a wonderful stone ground spicy mustard. Everything was great, and for two people this is a meal. We were used to smaller cheese plates at other wine bistros, and since this was our dinner, we also ordered the crab cake and the chicken lettuce wraps. These were not very tasty. The crab cake tasted like, and had the consistency of tuna fish. Cannot recommend it. The chicken lettuce wraps were attractively served, but the chicken pieces had a strange tasting teriyaki glaze on it that did not sit well on my palate. Cannot recommend that as well. Our initial service was good, although we had to wait about 39 minutes for a couple requested waters. The food was spaced our nicely. However at the end of our meal, we had to sit and wait about 20 minutes to get our check. Overall I would say the service has the potential to be excellent, but my experience this night was they were understaffed for the crowd. As usual, great valet service, necessary at Winslow’s location. Overall, I recommend Winslow’s but would stick to the cheese and meat plates, and maybe the pizza. Place is close to being one of Fort Worth’s best wine bistros, just needs to round off the edges on the menu and service

The wine selections are very good, as are the appetizers to go with them. If you stay for dinner, the food is quite good. However, I have been to brunch there twice and won’t go again. The mimosas are totally flat –like they were made hours in advance – and the food is usually burned.
