The Tavern is one of our new favorite places! Found it on Unilocal a few months ago, and have been back several more times, often with friends who are glad we shared it with them. If you go for breakfast, try the blueberry sausage(no, really); it’s awesome! Every entrée we’ve tried has been a winner, and the service is first-rate, most recently by Jeremy, who was great. A small additional point is their music, which is just the right volume and well-chosen. Can’t wait to go again!

Once you walk in, the hostess will greet you. There is no mistaking that you are to wait to be seated. Which is awesome… I hate not knowing if i’m to seat myself or not. Service was great. My husband and I have been twice. Once for drinks and once for dinner. The first time, we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly, knowledgable, and even let my husband sample beers that he had not tried before. It left a very good impression, in terms of friendliness and service. Last night we went to eat at the Tavern for dinner. Once again, service was fantastic. Our server was kind, knowledgable, and always around if we needed something. The food though… Meh. For an appetizer we had the shrimp poblano quesadillas and the guacamole and queso americano with chips. The quesadilla was alright, but the tortilla tasted store bought. The chips and guacamole were good, but the pimento cheese ball left something to be desired. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and my husband ordered the Hollywood burger for main dishes. Both were mediocre. We will go back for the drink experience, but the food is not worth the amount they charge.
