I like the atmosphere that this little place provides for the neighborhood it’s in. I think the prices are a little to heavy for its food… The foods ok. Stay away from the steak, it just has a bad burnt taste I had a hard time shaking that off. I have a friend of mine that lives close there agreed with me on the steak… Pricy for location… Whew, I thought I was the only one. Look I would eat there again it’s cozy I think the service is great and the foods ok… I’ve been here several times.

Our normal brunch location was line out the door packed so we went down the street to check this place out. A tad bit more than we normally pay for brunch– but that may be in part due to the fact that we had 2 carafes of mimosas… lol. We had a party of 5 and everyone ordered some version of eggs benedict or roasted duck hash. Every brunch selection comes with a starter– I had the tartlette. It was good. I feel like it was way too much food. They place warm croissants on the table when you first sit down. So by the time I had half a croissant and a tartlette I barely had room for my eggs that also came with fries AND fruit. Not that these are bad problems to have– I’m just saying come hungry :) The service was attentive but it took almost 40 minutes for our food to come out. I’d come back in the future to try the dinner menu– the mussels look great.

Overpriced. Outdated décor. Even with a reservation we still waited to be seated. We enjoyed the tapas platter, but the slow cooked chicken from the Specials menu was under seasoned and underwhelming.

Best mussels and fries I’ve ever had. I keep wasting money ordering mussels and fries when I’m out of town at nice french restaurants, only to be disappointed that the mussels and fries are not as good as a restaurant five minutes away from my house in freaking Fort Worth, Texas. Makes no sense. The owner/manager is really nice, but in full disclosure, he sorta has the Soup Nazi thing going for him at times. I was being treated in a party of three when the bill totaled $ 100+. We asked for more bread, and found out they charged us a few bucks for the bread. My party protested to the owner/manager, only for him to smile and apologize but NOT remove the charge. If this was someplace that didn’t serve my favorite mussels and fries, I’d be more upset. But when you really love something, you think its faults are endearing.

Went with friends for the first time. My husband and I each ordered a salad and split a pizza, shared a bottle of wine. The salads were just ok, not good, not bad. The pizza was about even with dominos in quality, not what I would expect for $ 16 plus a $ 4 Charge for splitting an entrée and not nearly big enough for two people to share. We did not even get an extra plate for the four dollar charge. Our friend ordered the filet medium, it came out completely gray without a hint of pink anywhere. We had a bread basket on the table that was nearly full, they brought us another basket without our asking and charged us for it. I am not used to paying over $ 90 for dinner and having to go home and make sandwiches for my husband and myself.

Outstanding experience at Sapristi this past week! After recently enjoying mussels at another restaurant, with my lady’s love of fries, and our affection of wine, this was an easy choice for us. We sat at the bar around 7:30 and the restaurant was in full life. We were promptly greeted by Josh, who would in turn be serving us and many others throughout the course of the meal. Definitely the ever knowledgeable and inviting host, his presence made us feel overly welcomed and appreciated. Throughout the coursing of the meal, he was kind enough not only to assist in helping assure dietary needs were met, but to offer wine pairings without flaw. His expertise and professionalism are paramount in class and you’ll be grateful to have experienced his service. As for the food– wonderful! We started with a salad of avocado and shrimp with tomato and a vinaigrette, as well as a gorgonzola and endive salad. Both were fresh and bright, and offered a nice start to the evening. The large mussels with pomme frites French Style(parsley, shallots, butter, and white wine) were perfect. The broth has a subtle flavor that doesn’t overpower the soft nature of the mussels. These are truly the highest quality mussels that you can find anywhere in town. The texture is soft and the flavor intense, but even more importantly, they are ultra clean. Not a single grain of grit like you can regularly expect from lesser quality and prepared mussels. The pomme frites have outstanding crispness and the seasoning was perfect, but while the mayonnaise served with them was very well flavored, we found ourselves dipping our fries into the mussels broth just as much. This whole evening was the perfect date night for us since we don’t get that opportunity as regularly as we might like. A huge thanks to Josh and the staff as Sapristi for making that possible for us!

JOSHJOSHJOSHJOSH… I have many pleasing thoughts that my taste buds shot up in my brain… alllllllllllllllll wonderful. Get your mussles and pomme frites… did I spell that right? I am Texan… we usually just sound it out hahaha. Oh and the Crab and Avocado Salad… ginormous and delish! Hotness had an endive… oh I love me some walnuts. The ambiance is classic and sweet… it is like a slice of paradise once you step in… who would have known all the places we are falling in love with are in strip centers tucked away in hidden parking lots… the«fancy» places… just do not really tickle my fancy. We tried several wines and had conversations with everyone around us… I just enjoy enjoying and being enjoyed… nothing else really matters in life. Roll in on your own, with your sweet heart or a group of friends. Pick different dishes and pass them around!

Truly an establishment worth raving about. All but once we have had the same waiter, who’s name I do not know. But we have felt a kinship with him that has grown with every visit. With every visit, I learn something about wine and food by means of charming anecdotes. From grape history to the process of cooking duck, it is the most delicious teaching moment ever. My cousin and I share a birthday and there was nowhere else for the family to celebrate. Once again, we were granted our customary waiter. Sensation wine, cherry with duck, perfect night. One should start off with the sampler appetizer, which has more than once lured us past our wine and app objective. Tour the four different versions of the Mussels, for me the Spanish(with Kale and Chorizo) wins out but it is a delightful contest. Whatever you select, every time you recount the experience to friends, the memory of the flavor will flood your recollection such that you’ll find yourself talking about Sapristi! increasingly.

This is the best little neighborhood restaurant in the great Fort Worth! The service is ALWAYS outstanding, with probably the overall most knowledgeable wine staff around, and the food is to die for! My favorite are the French Mussels and Steak TareTare, just amazing! The wine list is also awesome, changing weekly and always keeping you on your toes!

Made a stop in Sapristi, as it turns out, on Bastille Day, which, the way I see it, is as fine a time as any(and perhaps more fine than some) to saunter in, camp out at a table in the back room of the restaurant, and linger over a glass of wine and friendly chatter. This go round Sapristi was intended as a launching pad of sorts, and we elected to attack a potpourri of appetizers, from the Asian mussels(terrific broth of Chili, cilantro, ginger, lemongrass, lime, lager beer) to the calamari(slightly spicy served with a Sherry-tomato sauce) to the pommes frites in honor of the old country’s big day. Not my old country, per se, but still, worth a bite. The pinot I paired with was terrific(the exact varietal, sadly, escapes me, but it was as I recall of Oregon origin). Our waiter was a font of personality(in a complimentary way), present but not omnipresent. The crowd clearly dotted with groups ready to linger. Next time, I may well sit at the bar for my vino, but the impression I get is that it fills up fast(it certainly did this Saturday). Still, all told, there’s plenty to raise a glass to here.

I always order the mussels here. It is the only thing I have ever hadhere. They are so good. They now have 4 different broths. I usually go with the spicy broth or more traditional. Add the fries and it makes a perfect night. This last time I had Parmesan and truffle oil fries. Can I say my stomach jumped up with joy. The service is laid back and restaurant has a mellow feel. Good place for a quiet evening.

I had a great dinner with my husband. We ordered the mussels(French) together with the frites(truffle and parmesan) and the tapas platter. Very tasty! The wine pairing was great. We have also had brunch with the kids a couple times and have enjoyed that very much as well. We will definitely come back to sample more.

Our new favorite place! Menu changes and everything has been delicious and presented beautifully. If you love mussels you must go. There are 4 styles of preparation and for me the Parisienne are the best. Last night I had salmon served on Top of a crab cake and it was cooked to perfection! My husband hac the rack of lamb and loved it. The«by the glass» wine selection is impressive! The ambiance is casual and there is a feeling that people know each in a good way, lots of locals and obvious repeat customers! M

This is a good neighborhood restaurant close to the TCU area of Ft. Worth. The food is provincial french to mediterranean. The have an interesting wine list and they do allow corkage, $ 15. We of course ordered the French mussels with the Pommes Frites. They are good. Our waiter was knowledgeable about wine and made good suggestions for the table. The food is good.

Oh Sapristi… my review is mixed and I think I will have to go back. Food: I give it 5 stars! Service: well, I would give the kitchen staff 5 stars. Our waiter… maybe 2 because he did suggest a good wine before he disappeared forever. We got the large mussels and frites, Paris style. That was yummy! The mussels are large and the broth delicious. Serves with bread to sop up that brothy goodness! I really think that mussels are their speciality and really, you should go there for that! We did try some cheese… we decided to get the«one piece» for $ 7 or something like that. We had a good laugh because, literally, it was like someone put two quarter-sized pieces of cheese on a plate with some lettuce, grapes and walnuts. Really? 50 cents of cheese for $ 7…hmmm. As I said, we never saw our waiter again. He disappeared behind the bar. The kitchen staff brought our food, changed out our plates, and filled our drinks. I noticed one other waiter in the place, he seemed very nice to his tables. So we’ll try it again, and I will provide an update!

My favorite place hands down. To the reviewer who was upset that fries were served with mussels; go to Belgium its traditional. I love the food! Also great wine selection. Try the fries with spicy mayo, they are to die for!

This is a cozy, romantic little place – nestled in the TCU /Berkeley area of Fort Worth. The food is delicious, wine selection is awesome. It is more like a European restaurant than a local one. The only way they could improve is to offer an additional vegetarian entrée and tapas. Otherwise this is a fabulous find.

Ok based on the recent reviews we decided to take out of town guests to this«hidden gem». There is a reason no one talks about this place and Its because the food is just so-so mediocre and the manager is unbelievably arrogant. Absoutely no sense for customer service. The place was packed and I think it’s because they believe that if you pay $ 18 for a plate of Penne pasta if must be good. I had the soup du jour. A barely warm watered down potato broth. I had the French mussels that were in another watered down and no flavored broth. That comes with French fries of all things.(did not figure out why French fries would be served with mussels). I live to dip French baguette bread in the leftover mussel broth. The broth was nothing but water and if you wanted more then 4 small peices of baguette they were sure to tell you it was $ 3 for each refill of bread. The plate of mussels was $ 20 but that was with the fries. Half the mussels were just shell. Someone forgot to add the liittle bits of mussel. Maybe they ate them in the kitchen or maybe they thought that a huge stack of shells would make you think you were getting your $ 20 worth. Oh yes. Don’t ask them to split the check. That would be too much customer service for the manager to handle so take your calculator because they won’t figure it out for you either.(Just as an after note, I saved this review on my I-phone and now am back finishing it online. In between then and now I had the worst food poisoning after eating here… it was the mussels I’m sure so beware…)

I can not believe that this little neighborhood place does not have more reviews! Oh well, that leaves more mussels for me… We were in Fort Worth last weekend in hopes of doing some Christmas shopping at locally owned stores. Which are hard to find, by the way, but I have not given up. We decided that Sapristi would be the perfect place to fill up after a lot of driving around! We have been here a few times before and always love it. They changed up the menu since our last visit but still have lots of wonderful options. We settled on the french mussels and the tapas platter«to start», little did we know that the look our server gave us meant«there is no way you’ll be ordering more food». Also had a bottle of my favorite sauvignon blanc with a reasonable markup, so I was very happy with that! The mussels came out, we had a large order, which consisted of about 40 – 50 mussels and a sizeable side of skinny fries with some yummy dipping mayo. The tapas platter had 5 or 6 different items on it, I especially loved the grilled octopus salad, I swear I did not know that octopus could be that tender! Service is perfectly unobtrusive, just the way I like it. We decided that the best thing about Sapristi is that you can count on it to be good every time you go, which is very important to me. Delicious! Keep in mind if you go that it is a little hard to find, our GPS actually was directing us down the street. We have been there 4 or 5 times and still have trouble finding it perfectly. It’s in a little strip mall with a Greek restaurant. Enjoy!

Really? Nobody has reviewed this gem yet??? This is my favorite place for Sunday Brunch in Fort Worth(10:30am — 1pm). Duck hash, crab topped eggs benedict, addicting pancakes, buttery croissants, and amazing Mimosas. This place is a wine bar by night so the mimosa are amazing. Forget the swill most places serve at brunch, these mimosa are the real deal. Wine Bar & Bistro during the evenings, the menu is quite varied. Excellent steamed mussels, yummy pasta, wonderful specials, and a «Tapas» style plate that changes every weekend. Did I mention the wine? Very reasonably priced and varied. John the manager will help you decide! Friendly staff, reasonably priced entrees & wine, this place is one of my favorites.
