You can’t go wrong with any dish. Best salsa by far of anywhere else.

I’ve been to a couple other Mi Cocina locations and I have to admit that this was my least favorite. We did brunch here and I felt like the food was pretty bland. I ordered some chicken tacos and was wishing I had a bottle of Cholula to add some flavor. The stuffed peppers my friend ordered were a little better, but I felt like the peppers weren’t very hot. Maybe I just like spicy food too much… that being said, the guacamole is quite good here. Overall the atmosphere is pretty nice and the wait staff was friendly, but I just think there are better options for Tex Mex in the area.

We have likely eaten at Mi Cocina and Taco diners over 200 times, but ENOUGHISENOUGH! The upper management of Mi Cocina needs to get their heads out of their a#*#. Specifically the suburban and this Fort Worth location. What the heck is going on… It’s like ZERO leadership and 100% complacency! The food holds up but come on its pretty simple to follow in the kitchen so hats off to the kitchen staff for taking up 80% of the slack for the horrific service and store management at the Fort Worth, Flower Mound And Southlake locations. I’ll offer something I preach to my children and all my staff COMPLACENCYISTHEKILLEROFALLTHINGSGOOD

For a Friday night we were excited to be seated within 5 mins despite the quoted 20 min wait. As a vegetarian and gluten free patron I use can always succeed in a Mexican restaurant. The chips are not gluten free! The dips guacamole and quest are listed on the menu but there is mojo g to dip in it unless you ask for corn tortillas… Why would you have to ask??? I understand that Friday night is busy but when you are paying for food there are some basic necessities that should always be water in your glasses! As wait staff the more you sell the bigger the tip which is apparently a foreign concept in this place… So to sum it up the service was a bit of a struggle. I could of got up and went to the bar and had better success. Despite all of that the food was amazing. The portobello mushroom fajitas melted in my mouth. They were delightful and did the job… I felt satisfied. If only the delivery matched the quality of food this place would be on point. I think so many business overlook how much the employees are an extension of a brand, an experience, and a first impression.

Being in Fort Worth for business, my dining plans just had to include Tex-Mex! This place was located just around the corner from my hotel. Inside is a modern decorated dining room(usually a minus for Mexican places, in my opinion). There was no one to greet me upon entering, so was unsure if I was supposed to seat myself or wait. Eventually the hostess showed up and me to my table. Once at the table it was a long wait to get someone to take my drink order and even longer to get my food order in. Once the chips and salsa arrived, I was disappointed in their bland salsa. Think Prego Spaghetti Sauce. I ordered the Brisket Tacos and enjoyed them. However, it took way too long for a refill of my water and my beer. So either manage the staff or hire more people but the service is really bad.

Decent Mexican cuisine. The chips and salsa were pretty good. Guacamole as an app was good, but you could tell it wasn’t freshly made. The queso wasn’t fully melted and almost tasted like it came from a Tostitos jar(even though that tastes better than this). We had Luann’s combo platter(2 enchiladas one beef taco and a guacamole«chalupa»). The beef taco wasn’t that great. The«chalupa was literally a mini tostada shell with only guac on it. We also had the 3 enchilada plate all chicken. Sauce was pretty good and cheesy. The cocktails were«ok.» Cucumber martini wasn’t the best and neither was the tropical mojito. Overall, it was an ok meal. Nothing special.

This place is far from good. The service is so slow and the food is subpar. We went for lunch me we took over an hour and half from sitting down to leaving because of how slow they were. The servers were very slow at bringing drinks and the food which both were bad. Avoid this place.

This place has a sophisticated yet low key vibe. A bit on the fancier side, with out the too crazy, fancy prices. Since it sits on Sundance Square, It can be a trendy spot for a girls night out or a quiet place for two love birds on a date night. I am a big fan of the little patio that nestles in the back corner of the restaurant. It provides a great view of all the action going on and you can watch all the Ft. Worth by passers(people watching and conversation starters at its finest!) I’m not a huge on traditional TexMex, so I usually go for a seafood inspired dish at Mexican food restaurants. The chile garlic shrimp are simply fab and come at a great price– around $ 13 bucks. The Mambo Taxi is always a crowd pleaser! I’ll be honest… I waited a while to try one, because I just love a good olé’ fashioned lime margarita, but holy be-jeezs! If you like margaritas, hop on this train sister! Its a fancy sangria swirled with traditional frozen margarita. Two of these and I’m singing along to the Mariachi music playing that I don’t even know. Good thing the lights are somewhat dim in there in the evenings… Each time we have visited this location we have had good service(and one time we even had a party of 8 adults and 2 kiddos!) But definitely go early, as this is a hopping joint on the weekends and they do not take reservations or call ahead seating.

Great place to go for a happy hour!!! Drinks are strong and tasty, I recommend the dilemma and the mambo taxi! Dilemma is layers of Mango Margarita, Strawberry Margarita and Mambo Taxi… so good! Mambo Taxi, is made up of Sauza Silver Tequila, Lime Juice, Housemade Sangria with Pinot Noir, Brandy, Fruit Juices… wow great taste. Started off with the Guacamole«Mexicano» Hass Avocados blended with Cilantro, Onions and Fresh Lime Juice… best I’ve ever had… could make a meal out of just this! I had the Tacos Mi Tierra for my main course… Three soft Corn Tortillas Topped with Grilled Fajita Beef, Serranos and Onions served with Guacamole y Pico de Gallo… spicy and flavorful… yum yum yum! DISGUSTING. I ordered the brisket tacos. They were so swimming in grease, the tortillas became inedible mush. The«brisket» were just wads of fat. The rice that came with it was bland and the«avocado salad» was wilted lettuce with a wedge of avocado on top. Don’t waste your time or money. Go somewhere else. Oh, and I tried to call and complain(I had ordered it to go) and don’t bother trying to call. Constant busy signal. They obviously don’t want to talk to you.

Have been coming to Mi Cocina for decades. Great food — anything on the menu is good — and great drinks! Really good chips and salsa and margaritas.

I ordered the lunch special salad no real complaints about the food but the service was rushed. Didn’t really like the waiter because he made sure we pay the check right away and rushing us out once we paid.

On my first visit, this restaurant felt strangely familiar. It feels right, it makes sense, its comfy and trendy, and it feel very familiar. The restaurant is like«PF Chang» for Mexican food. They’ve update the ethnic food experience and added better ingredients and put together a comfy dining experience. The food here has borrowed heavily from the tex-mex flavors but it has made it their own. I sat at the bar and was promptly helped and my mojitos was super refreshing. I was offered a side of guac while I waited and the guac was good. I don’t even like guac and I liked it. Fresh, creamy and buttery. I may have to ask for guac the next time I find a tex-mex place. My entre was smothered enchiladas. Its not the typical New Mexico kinda smother green chile enchilada. This plate does the enchilada that is crispy. I think they fry the enchilada before they smothered it in the sauce. It was ok, but I would have preferred a soft shell enchilada. I remember the portion has huge. Overall, the flavor is right, and the dining area is comfy.

Salsa and chips isn’t all that. I like my chips thin and crispy. I don’t know how to describe the salsa but it’s not tangy or flavorful enough. I guess I like more of the chunky with onions and cilantro. I got the lunch special with brisket and tortilla soup. I’m still hungry after $ 9! It was 4 tiny pieces of just brisket and tortilla. I was expecting cheese, grilled onions, guac on the side. Tortilla soup was good though but why peas? Brisket was tasty but I should’ve gotten it in a taco or enchilada instead. Now to find a place with good quesadilla around downtown fw! Didn’t take a pic because I wasn’t impressed.

Where do I begin? A business partner of mine had decided to host a luncheon at this fine establishment today and I cannot be more pleased with my overall experience dining here. The service was very good. Upon arrival, they had us seated in a large comfortable U shaped booth– One I imagine George Bush would receive if he were to bring his entourage into the establishment. We quickly notified our waitress that we would have an extra member at our table and she promptly grabbed another chair, water and menu and had it ready very quickly. I never had to ask for a drink refill and I was able to thoroughly enjoy the company of those around me without the waiters or waitresses service distracting me once during my meal. One of my colleagues had to leave early from the lunch and they were especially accommodating. One thing to consider before coming here is the Spanish on the menu. If you have no idea what«Arroz y frijoles» means, you might be out of luck when deciding between dishes(it means rice and beans). But otherwise the menu is very easy to read and PJ Pane is a huge pussy. The food is phenomenal. I got the chicken and cheese enchiladas with a beef taco and everything was delicious. All in all great place to go.

Mexican in Fort Worth! Restaurant is situated in the heart of Sundance, downtown Fort Worth, a perfect prelude to a theatre show, movie, concert or comedy. I was seated right away, and no sooner than I settled, a basket of freshly warm and toasty tortilla chips arrived together with a bowl of mild, flavorful salsa. I had the pollo enchiladas($ 12.95) with mole sauce, thick and chocolaty, perfectly spiced and generously portioned, deliciouso! I couldn’t finish it! It was served in lighting speed. Ample outdoor & indoor seating, festive and lively atmosphere for families, conventiongoers, solos and revelers alike.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We got the rib eye fajitas and they were AMAZING. Seriously, a must have when you are there. Their margaritas were awesome as well. So hard to find a simple, good margarita. We also ordered the queso blanco and it was just okay. Not horrible, but not that great either. I would try the other queso that they have or none at all. The staff was very attentive as well. We sat inside, but they have a nice spacious patio.

I was in town looking for place to eat other than steak, someone from a hotel recommended this authentic Tex-Mex restaurant. Great location, walking distance from the convention center. I really liked the service here. We walked in a little earlier than usual dinner time. The place wasn’t too crowded at all as we arrived early. I don’t remember the name of server, but he was so friendly, funny, and attentive, he made sure we were having good time. He sort of made fun of me for reading reviews instead of menu, but it was in a friendly way. He actually let me finish read the reviews I wanted to read on Unilocal first, then came back with his own suggestion. He brought mole sauce to try out. I really liked the first taste of it, I ended up ordering mole pollo enchiladas. Since I only tasted the sauce a little bit, I didn’t realize how spicy it was. Food was really good but I wasn’t ready for this spiciness. Although I left a half of my enchiladas, I still enjoyed it very much. Side rice came with the dish was very good as well. It helped me cool down from spicy enchiladas.(Yes, he did warn me about spiciness of the sauce but I still ordered it because it was that good). Mojito drink I ordered also complimented the spicy mole sauce as well. If I was feeling my best, i would definitely have ordered additional drink. I wish I was feeling better that day to be able to enjoy more. Although I only ate less than half of my plate, I still enjoyed it very much. I would like to come back when I don’t have cold.
