Nice, pricey place with large portions. It was something new and was a good experience. The only bad thing was their fries, they had way too much salt/pepper and was soggy. Other than that it was a good experience. They are a family run business with good family ethics because they take off some days for family time!

PBnJ Grilled is the best. Especially since it’s made with strawberry jelly. I get mine with fries. The fries from Lee’s in my opinion are the best. Fast service and ordering over the phone is really easy.

I’m obsessed. My sister lives right down the street from this place and its wonderful! Not just the food, but the employees as well! They know my sister’s name and her kid’s names. They take the time to really get to know you. It’s very rare these days that companies go so far above and beyond to make their customers feel valued, and this place has definitely figured it out! Kudos to you, Lee’s Grilled Cheese!

I have eaten at the food truck for this place a few times and I really enjoyed it, so I thought that trying the restaurant would seem like a no-brainer. I ordered the Grilled Cheese Deluxe, which has 2 cheeses and bacon. I was told that my food would be ready in about 10 minutes; 9 minutes later my food arrived. The sandwich was so hot an cheesy that I felt my inner fat kid jumping for joy! I wish that I had gotten some soup or glorious fries that everyone is raving about, but I panicked while ordering because of the line of people coming through the door. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to come back again and again to keep trying different things! I got a full sandwich and drink for $ 7.88 at lunch, so I’m not sure why everyone is flipping about the prices because I would have paid about the same for a failed burger/sub/salad anywhere else. Delicioso!

Delicious grilled cheese. We ordered the deluxe(3 cheeses + bacon) and were over the cheese moon happy, it was yummy, ooey-gooey, toasted perfection. We added avocado, and it was perfectly fresh. If you find a sandwich you like, but maybe don’t like 1 or 2 of the cheeses, you can make substitutions. I liked the tomato soup a lot. It was creamy, hot and simple in a good way. Our fries were alright, they were unevenly cooked, so I think we might have just gotten an off batch. We ordered a regular fry and the portion was generous. The menus got so many options, I’d take a look before you go, if you’re like me and take a second to make up your mind. Stellar grilled cheese. Stellar homemade ranch. I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere with a few booths and a few tables. This place has tasty eats and a comfortable, casual vibe. I’d definitely go back and recommend it.

The Mac and cheese grilled cheese is still awesome and same with back breaker. However, the fries are now small and hard. Not good!

I had bookmarked this in Unilocal a while back and we decided to make the short journey to try it out. It was 12:30 on a Saturday and the place was at capacity. The wait was not long at all, hardest part was trying to snag a table. We ended up eating outside with another family at one of the picnic tables which was a great experience. It was like the grilled cheese brought us together in a community and we enjoyed visiting over lunch. We ordered two different sandwiches and split them so that we could try all the cheesy goodness. We had the American Dream and the Grilled Mac and Cheese. Both were great and full of cheese. The bread was perfectly toasted and delicious. One unique thing about this restaurant is that drinks are included with your meal. I had the lemonade and it was wonderful, great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and lemons. Also make sure you are aware that they are only open on Wednesday — Sunday, which I love that as a family business they are keeping it real for their family and not sacrificing everything for the restaurant.

Heard great things about this place and finally checked it out with the family this weekend. Definitely lived up to the hype. We all enjoyed our sandwiches and I had the buffalo jack which was delicious and my toddler loved the Mac and cheese. We will definitely be going back soon.

I really wish I could give this place five stars because I love the concept. They shut down from Monday to Wednesday to give themselves family time and give their college employees time for school. I appreciate businesses that care for their employees and families over the almighty dollar. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as big of a capitalist as the next Texan, but I love when companies care more about people than money. Nonetheless, for a five, you’ve gotta bring it. I’m not charity reviewer. I take pride in my reviews meaning something, so with that, on to the review. Growing up, I hated tomato soup. I had a horrible experience with a can of Campbell’s, and I’ve just never had a grilled cheese that knocked my socks off. It was always something we ate when we couldn’t afford meat. But, thanks to my girlfriend, I’ve been introduced to the wonders of a good cheese based sandwich with tomato soup. Unfortunately, Lee’s does not do both great, but what they do well, they do very well. First, the tomato soup is terrible. It just tastes like boiled and pureed canned tomatoes. It’s not quite as bad as that Campbell’s soup nightmare that I have, but it’s pretty close. We had the deluxe sandwich with avocado, cheddar, pepper jack, and ghost pepper cheese. From the first bite, it was obvious, their grilled cheese game was on point. In a word, it was tasty. The bread was buttery. The toast was perfect, and the interplay with the cheeses and avocado was pure nostalgia goodness. I just wish the tomato soup wasn’t so terrible. We also got the fries. My girlfriend said they were mixed, with some being perfect, some being under-cooked, and others over-cooked. But, luckily, the ones I had were great. They were not too crispy, had just the right amount of salt, and were the perfect accompaniment for the sandwich. Plus, for $ 13 we both were fed well. All in all, if you’re in the area go. If you’re looking for a great grilled cheese sandwich, it’s worth the drive. Maybe not an hour drive, but it’s definitely worth 30 or 40 minutes.

Yes, yes, yes!!! The grilled cheese deluxe with bacon with added tomato is amazing! I also got a creamy tomato soup which went perfectly. The buffalo Jack grilled cheese did not disappoint either did those perfectly seasoned skinny fries. So many creative grilled cheese options to choose from. I want to try them all! This place was packed when we picked up our to go order and they have a drive through window to pick them up so you don’t have to go inside. This satisfied my comfort food and cheese craving all in one. I highly recommend this place!

My friend recently moved here from Georgia and was lamenting about a grilled cheese place in her home state, wishing for a pork and mac n cheese sandwich. She had no idea what was in store for her! I found out about Lee’s when it was a food truck and I hadn’t realized it had gone brick and mortar until this year. It’s a thirty minute drive from my apartment but it’s worth every minute of traffic. Lee’s grilled cheese sandwiches are the kind of crispy, buttery, cheesy goodness that make me homesick and satisfied all in the same bite. I’m so glad I have even more of a reason to go to Lee’s than before!

Yeah I’m a Unilocal Elite, and yeah I typically write lengthy reviews… but there’s not much to say about this place aside from… ITISFLIPPINGAWESOME! I doubt I’ll ever try the more extravagant grilled cheeses on the menu, because a plain old grilled cheese is heavenly. Order yourself a bowl(not a cup) of tomato soup to go with it. The pairing is DELICIOUS, but they are also divine by themselves. Now, let’s talk mac and cheese. Oh good lord is it delicious. Even if you can’t muscle it down because you’ve ordered a giant grilled cheese and soup, who cares. Order it anyway, and save it for tomorrow. Their leftover mac and cheese is as yummy as it was when it was first cooked. Best I’ve ever had. Now, for the haters. Give it up. If you love a good grilled cheese or mac and cheese, you will LOVE this place. Yeah the atmosphere is kinda, boring. But it doesn’t matter in the least when you are woofing down your most heavenly goodies. This is one you must trust me on. WORTHIT!

What an amazing place to grab a grilled cheese inspired sandwich. They have a fairly narrow selection but each is still very unique. –Add one star for the staff being attentive, nice, and casual. –Add one more for an innovative idea on a classic American staple. –Third star for attention to detail. The food was the perfect temperature. –Fourth star is for price. The prices are way beyond reasonable. We spent $ 14 on our first try. The drinks are included with your sandwich. –Fifth star is for the décor and environment. Whoever owns this place took their time and planned things out before setting up shop. This is a place you really don’t want to pass up. Stop in and go crazy!

Every time I drive by here and want to stop, I’ve always had an issue: 1) I’m in a big hurry and cannot stop for food 2) it’s freaking TUESDAY!(they are closed on tues) 3) it’s after closing 4) I’m just not hungry Today the stars aligned and I had the chance to stop in and try! I could have just got a plain grilled cheese, but today I was hungry and went for the Buffalo jack with tomato soup. Omg it’s pretty dang good. Just enough spice to smack you a bit, but not so hot that you can’t taste anything. Perfect amount of cheese to compliment the meat and bread ratio. Not too soggy, not too dry. I thought it was perfect. The soup is great too. Good for dipping :) mmmm I’m leaving this place full and happy.

The year before I graduated from college, a tiny food truck stared appearing outside my science building in the mornings. At 10:30AM twice a week, I would walk up to the front of that truck and order a grilled cheese sandwich and then eat the worlds earliest lunch in between classes. The two guys who worked in the truck were extremely nice, and one remember me a year later when I drove to the food truck’s new home in a truck park an hour away. It took me almost 2 hours to make it from my home to the truck’s store this weekend, and it was 100% worth it. The menu is much more extensive now that they have the space, but I still stuck to my original 2010 addiction, the Tomato Mozzarella. It wasn’t as panini-esque as I remembered it being, but it was still delicious. I wish it didn’t have the spinach on it now, but it still hit the spot. The fries were great. Not too greasy and seasoned just right. The real MVP of this excursion was the Mac and cheese. You can tell that it’s homemade and, while extreme rich, it’s heaven for a cheese lover. Do yourself a favor and for your free drink, get the pirate punch. It’s a piña colada juice. And it’s magical. I want to try all the new additions to the menu. While that may not be possible due to the crazy distance I live from the restaurant, I strong encourage everyone in the Fort Worth area to try it.

I’m a lover of all things grilled cheese so no doubt this place would be a winner for me! Its got somewhat of a fast food feel but its actually a small family owned business which is great. Awesome grilled cheese options… and a super delish Mac and cheese! My pirate punch, my grilled cheese, and the dessert were nothing short of perfection… I only wish I had a banana to go with it. Those of you that know me well or are cuban would probably understand why this somewhat odd request makes total sense. Its the sweet/salty… I for instance pair bananas with all things cheese and grilled cheeses are no exception. This place was !

So when my mom mentioned we should go to a typical chain restaurant that we always went to when I was a kid, I told her I bet there is something new we have never tried close by. I whipped out my Unilocal app on my phone and began searching. Literally within a couple of miles from her house was Lee’s Gilled Cheese. I read the family some reviews and we got excited and headed that way! I found out from a friend later on that this used to be a food truck and now turned brick a mortar. What a cool story for this mom and pop grilled cheese restaurant. Now you can get a plain old grilled cheese here if you want, but there is so so much more. When I was looking over the menu there were so many things that sounded awesome like the Peanut butter Jelly Time, Billy the Kid, Tomato Mozzarella and the Italian and more! I ended up going with the T.B.C.R., which is oven roasted turkey, smoked bacon, cheddar and zesty homemade ranch … mmm it was spot on perfection! The bread was crispy and the cheese, turkey and ranch all melted and mixed together was so savory. My sister got the Italian, mom got the same as me and my nephew got a kid’s American Grilled Cheese. Everyone loved their sandwiches. I also ordered a side of the lil mac and cheese and it was delicious. Super creamy, ooey-gooey and cooked on the grill! I am so glad I talked my mom into trying this spot out! Next time I am in town I definitely want to go back so I can get dessert. They have a S’mores sandwich and a Cinnablast … I am always a sucker for dessert, so gotta check that out!
