We have been here several times and the wait staff was so so and the food has always been excellent. We went today and our server was Brittany and she was EXCELLENT!!! We will be going back and make sure we will be in her section.

Three of us went to eat 2 had the BBQ grill, 1 was delicious the other was cold like it was sitting on the counter a long time and the other ordered from the menus and took almost 45 min. The other two in the party were done by then. It was good and the waitress tried to make good by taking it off the check but it was awkward to wait so long.

Not only a meal but quite a show! Genghis Grill is one of the few veggie-friendly buffet restaurants where you’re not relegated to eating salads, potatoes and grapes. The process of watching your food assembled and cooked is a bizarre experience to the spoiled urbanite and only helps to give special meaning to what you eat. I remember doing all sorts of highly experimental mix and matches with sauce and seasonings, and to my delight, all of them were delicious. You just can’t seem to make a bad self-served recipe, even if you combine dragon sauce with orange sauce with licorice sauce with fire chocolate seasoning with green tea pepper.(I probably made some of those up) The scenery is nice but the atmosphere is certainly not anything unfamiliar to a cynical city dweller – and that’s too bad. The waitstaff is adequate, neither exceptionally sweet or indulgently rude like those god-awful vegan restaurants. The all-you-can-eat option makes the high prices worthwhile. No matter what happens inside this place, short of the manager challenging me to a duel, I can’t wait to go back and create my own strange recipes. The food never disappoints.

Build your stir fry with you can choose how much meat you actually get! You can get steak, chicken, shrimp, calamari, pork, and tofu. They also have a lot of options for vegetables such as green beans, mini corn, bean sprouts, potatoes, broccoli, red pepper, egg, and many more. You also get to decide what spices go on it such as steak spice, garlic pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, and much more. You really get to personalize your dish. It is not a bad price either for a medium its $ 10.99.

The food is mediocre, only come for my husband. Today I was a little irritated we waited awhile for our server to tell us to go to the line she acted like she was in the back working when she finally came to our table… but we saw her chit chatting with other workers the whole time. #1 mistake dont lie to me. #2 mistake(not hers but companies) dont charge me for a kids water just because you give a plastic cup. They did take it off the bill but I shouldn’t have even had to ask. Ive only been to this chain a few times and each time something is just off with the place. Definitely not my first choice for dinning.

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary last night. I was looking forward to it because I had eaten here several times before about 5 years ago. We both got small endless bowls. For my first bowl, I had the baby scallops, the marinated fish and the squid. The scallops tasted very fishy and were extremely soggy. I’m guessing that going there on a Wednesday maybe wasn’t the best idea because the turnaround would be much lower than on a weekend when they expect more people. After having my food cooked, it tasted burnt. Like the grill wasn’t being cleaned enough. My 3rd bowl was terrible, I didn’t eat it at all, after asking if they could please not cook the vegetables that long, I got broccoli which was almost raw(which was great for the texture) BUT somehow the cook STILL managed to burn my broccoli. Our server’s name was Zak and he was very friendly and helpful. A few hours later, my stomach started gurgling and I ended up in the bathroom half the night with terrible cramps and cold sweat, with what I am assuming was a mild case of food poisoning, I knew the scallops tasted TOO fishy. I am very disappointed because not only were the prices a LOT higher than 5 years ago, but now I also got sick after eating there. I’m sad to say that I won’t be going back here ever again, even though I love stir-fry.

I have been eating here since the first one opened off western center in like ’08. If you ask me they have made to many changes to the menu. The food is so good though. I love being able to pick EXACTLY what I want in my bowl! They have quite a bit of options(not as many as they used to) but I have perfected mine! The service though is always and I mean always terrible. We ended up transferring our check to another server because ours was never around. Like I told the manager, I will always come back because the food is just too good not to, but they need to focus on their servers service a little bit more

I used to like Ghenghi’s a lot! Like a lo because it was super simple and a traditional a la carte Mongolian grill where you either picked to just have a single servings or multi-serving. Now they have menu items and different size bowls all one serving. Not that it’s more complicated but I just liked how before I was about to get two servings by just paying $ 3 more. I understand the set menu items which is cool, but why did they get rid of the whole $ 9.99 single bowl or $ 12.99 multi-bowl options. I think that was what the real charm behind Genghi’s was for me. It was just the place to get your own stir-fry done. At least the food is still decent, and there is a unique experience created while you are here but there are just a few things that may need to be revised. 2-stars because the concept of a la carte Mongolian grill is gone. Stars were given for good staff and good food.

Came in for dinner and noticed the place had been upgraded but its not a good thing since the new design is poorly executed. You are given three bowl choices now ranging from small to large. For $ 12.99 you get the biggest bowl and the metal bowl is a bit bigger to fill in the portions but here’s the part where the new layout gets confusing! You are given a tray and a metal bowl that slides while you try to get food in the bowl but the huge sneeze guards blocking the veggies and proteins in the far back it gets annoying just to stable the bowl on a tray and stretching out just to get food. But the most frustrating part were the lack of tongs at the bar. Had to wait again to flag down an employee just to get a tong to grab other protein and veggies but then you go to the sauce, there’s no spoon or employee and back then you were given a small metal cup to fill with sauces but not anymore! Again waited and flagged down another employee again to ask how we’re supposed to get the sauces and there’s supposed to be a person at that area to serve but Nope! Nobody around again! Anyways long story short I got the large bowl and my friend got the red bowl and what was confusing is how you pay more to get the same amount food as the red bowl. Was I scammed? I asked and I was told that it some times happens but to pay $ 5 More to get another bowl. NOTHAPPY ;(

This Ganghis Grill is my FAVORITE one. I live closer the the Ganghis at NorthEast mall but I take the drive just because I love the business and employees at this ganghis. The food at Ganghis is delicious I could eat some everyday! The waiters here are very friendly and the cook helps you choose things if your a first timer. This place its a great place for a date. You get to have fun making your own food and it taste delicious. You can put as much food as you want on your bowl. Don’t be shy stack it up high that way you’ll have enough food. Don’t worry it’s okay to get a little messy. I always get the medium bowl and I get full off that bowl and sometime have to take a to go box from how much food it is. But this Ganghis is the BEST on in the dfw area. It’s a must go!

This mongolian-style grill has many options for your meal. What bothers me is you walk through the line, you choose the ingredients, you measure and put them in a tiny bowl, and then they cook it. In my opinion, it’s overpriced for what it is. They have new bowls, which seem even smaller than the bowls they used before! I’m wondering if it is a cost-cutting measure or what. The bowls also have a little slot underneath where you slip a card that has your name and what kind of starch you want with your bowl. These new bowls are so annoying. Service is fine, but once again, they don’t take your order, just bring drinks and deliver your bowls. Oh, and they used to have a big menu behind the ingredient line, but they took it down and put the info on these recipe cards you can walk down the line with(while holding your new, smaller weird bowl with an even smaller sauce bowl attached and the card with your name on it slid into the slot underneath). Have I mentioned the new bowls?

Oh the options! I love Genghis Grill. It has a unique, salad-bar style way of ordering that makes your meal fun and interactive. Basically, you get in line and fill up a bowl with all the ingredients you could possibly want. You choose the veggies, meats, sauces, spices and your starch — noodles, rice or tortillas. Then you hand it over to the cooks, and they give you an order number. When your bowl is ready, your waiter will bring it to you. It’s usually pretty quick — no more than 10 minutes or so. Genghis is perfect for an indecisive order-er like me. Instead of having to pick one yummy thing, I can get them all! Just pile your bowl high with all the ingredients that look good. It sort of becomes a game, seeing how much you can get to fit the little metal bowl they give you. They give you the option to go back for a second bowl if you’re still hungry after the first. I think it’s an extra $ 4 if you’re there for dinner. It’s a little less for lunch.

I went to this restaurant for the first time for lunch with my husband. The husband has been here on numerous occassions and loves the place. The place is okay, nothing spectacular. Good price for the amount of food. You pick your own meats, spices, sauces and they cook it for you. My husband noticed they took down the board which makes suggestions on how to make certain bowls. The service was good. Our waiter was very attentive. The only downside was the area where the food was stored was not clean. I’ll probably come here again when I want some cheap eats.

This is seriously my fave food place in Texas!!! You get to make your own bowl of rice or noodles! I put in random meats, vegetables, sauces, spices and it was soooo good! You can throw in whatever ingredient and it will still taste yummy! It was fun watching them cook my food!

One of the best discoveries I made in Texas! I came here with my family and we all really enjoyed Genghis! It’s not your usual order and receive type of restaurant… You make your way to the back and put a bunch of random meats, vegetables, spices and sauces into a bowl and then they cook it for you! They also give you a menu so that if you have no idea what you want you can just throw the ingredients listed on the menu into your bowl. So cool to watch them cook your food! I threw a bunch of random things into my bowl and thought it wouldn’t turn out so great but it did! Delicious!

Not really a place that I would re-visit. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe it was the fact that they didn’t have any nuts to add to my bowl. Who eats stir-fry without a cashew, peanut or almond on something? Anyway, the food was ok but I so missed the nuts to add some crunch to my meal that I really disliked the food. I was with 3 other people and each of them was kind of blah about it too. Definitely a great concept they just are missing some key ingredients from their selection. They have put a lot of emphasis on their sauces and I think they should focus more on their food items. They also have no egg rolls or soups here either as this is a «Mongolian» restaurant.

Why am I giving 5 starts to a place where you prep you’re own food? Because it’s just awesome! I have been to Mongolian BBQ before, but it was always secondary to a buffet or a sushi restaurant. This place is Mongolian BBQ only and it rocks! You start by picking from more than 8 proteins and then add as much as you want from 8 different spices, throw in some veggies, pick a sauce(or three) and choose a noodle or rice to put it all on. Once you pass your mix off it’s cooked up for you and served in a great big bowl. I was pleased with the freshness of everything, the service, and my awesome ability to mix together yummy ingredients. I just wish we had a place like this closer to home :(

Another vegetarian friendly place! They have tofu! The deal is you walk in and they give you a little metal bowl. You fill this bowl with spices, tofu, veggies and then pick out your sauce and your starch, such as rice or noodles. There are so many combinations you could make from this, that you could never try them all. Think: sweet and sour, teriyaki, BBQ, etc. Then you walk up to the counter where you tell them you are vegetarian. They clean a portion of the giant metal stove and then cook your stuff right there(these may bother some as all the food is cooked on one stove) and hand you a ticket. You take a seat and they bring it out to you when it is done. Overall how good the food is depends on you and what you put in your bowl. I think it is fabulous. Minus one star for being overly pricey for some veggies and tofu. At least it is a bottomless bowl. Come hungry.
