Chain BBQ, not that good. The spicy sausage is not too shabby though and the fries are good. You also get free soft serve on the inside.

I’ve been here many times and never had a problem but tonight is ridiculous 12÷4÷156:00p. Almost every table is full of plates. No napkins in the holders, they were out of I unsweet tea. The kid who cut the brisket cut every slice way too wide. Not sure if bad training or laziness. They seem to be having a great time in the back room though. Lots of yelling and flirting going on. Cat’s away I suppose.

Worst worst barbecue in this area! We had tried this location once before years ago but I had Dickeys in Dallas off Cockrell Hill in Dallas & it was excellent. I figured I’d give it a second try. Worst mistake, I should of stuck to Risky’s or Railhead which are also close by. We ordered a single sliced beef plate & my son a baked potatoe no meat thank goodness he’s 13. My brisket was dry & they literally gave me all the burned ends with a rock hard roll. I live 5 mins & drove back and no manager there! Guy friendly but not good enough no apology other than I’ll take info & have him call you back. Tried calling toll free # & a fast busy. Nvr ever ever will I be returning here & most def. telling friends & family how disgusting this was for $ 22. I should of went to Sonic or Jack next door & saved $ 10.

Terrible service at the window, most of my order was missing and when I called back to speak to the manager I was given to someone who I could not communicate with(apparently he only spoke Spanish) and eventually hung up on me. Needless to say I won’t be back.

Counter lady was really nice. The pulled pork was a little overcooked and didn’t have much texture left to it. Kind of mushy. Im from eastern NC where we bleed hot sauce and vinegar, so the tomatoe based sauce was just«OK» in my opinin. But the Cole slaw was fresh and homemade and basehit.

I honestly don’t know how this chain stays open. Hands down, the worst BBQ, I’ve ever had in the great state of Texas. Brisket tasted like it had been in the warmer for days, ribs were dry and tasteless, and the sides were barely average at best. Do yourself a favor and avoid Dickey’s BBQ at all costs.

My salad with smoked chicken was tasty and a great price — $ 7 bucks! Salad big enough to share. Full breast of chicken was very tender. They’ll put any meat of your choice on it. I love a brisket salad. Yum! Store owner could freshen up their store.

I’ve come here a couple times for their $ 2 pulled pork sandwich deal on Mondays.(Poor student, ya feel?) The pork is really good as is the BBQ sauce that goes along with it. I usually get a side of mashed potatoes which are my favorite out of all of the side orders you can pick from. They’re seasoned well & have some extra stuff put in them. You can dress your sandwich too with onions, pickles, & jalapenos for no extra charge. PLUS you can get a free ice cream cone. I think this is a GREATDEAL& I always leave full & happy.

The nastiest nastiest nastiest food I have had in a very long time. We ordered for three people, sausage plate, brisket, pulled pork. All of the meat was old and lacked flavor. The sausage was dried out and appeared to have been reheated multiple times and to have sat under a warming light for a very long time. I would say it was petrified. The sides we all disgusting, the mac and cheese was watery and tasted cheaper than Kraft, the beans were watery and flavorless, the fried okra was old, the waffle fries were old and mushy. The only thing that tasted good was the Dr. Pepper. For 32 bucks this place is a rip off and not even worth a third of that. I am already feeling sick and can guarantee that reheating of old foods is a serious issue here and a serious health code violation that promotes the growth of food borne parasites.

Just went to the Dickey’s on University Dr. «Host 3» who waited on me was SORUDE. I wonder if he doesn’t realize that Railhead BBQ and Angelos BBQ is a few minutes away. I don’t care how good the food is, I won’t pay to be treated as if my business doesn’t matter.

Good bbq, good variety of sauces… mild, spicy, sweet. Very tender brisket. Sides don’t look too appealing but were tasty. Would have liked some cornbread. Would go again.

For a chain this location is as good if not better than some of the famous local BBQ places.

Went here on the recommendation from a friend of a friend who raved about their bbq and their fried okra and I came out a fan. The brisket was the best I’ve had so far, very tender and full of bbq flavor. The bbq sauce was really good too. It came with 2 sides so I got jalapeño beans(a good amount of kick for a white area, and very tasty) and potato salad which was a bit on the thick side and less on the potato side. I also got an order of fried okra, which was a good deal for the amount you get and you can never go wrong with fried snacks. My first fried okra too!
