I’ve been searching for some hair-​love and I’ve finally found the perfect place! Rachel has mad skills! She’s very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does! We did color, deep conditioner and cut and I couldn’t be more happy! The salon has a very eclectic, fun feel and I look forward to my next visit. Thanks y’all!

First time here, loved the vibe, cut and Rachael was great. Super impressed and lucky to have such a local gem.

Especially since my experience with the cut & colour was amazing, and the products were unique & effective.
I have been growing my hair out from a clean shave/​nice bald head, and it was super layered and too heavy in this heat. Boy, I am grateful that I made the drive all the way from Plano to try out this adorable IG salon.
The stylist took into account my hair’s texture, strength, and natural colour (which, while it sounds simple enough, many other stylists rarely do before they get started with my hair), and was able to give me a very technical layered, asymmetrical bob that lopped off so much awkward weight to give my hair some flounce without the frizz.
As someone with BFRB (body-​focused repetitive behaviours, such as dermatillomania), my scalp is incredibly sensitive and beat up. The stylist actively minded my skin sensitivity and made sure the developer she used to lighten & colour my hair was gentle enough to not even make me itchy while still delivering a vibrant, yet deep, pigment in the sun.
I can’t remember which products she used on my hair, but the between those super hydrating products and whatever colouring/​lightening system they use, my hair is actually healthier than when I walked in!
I’ve waited a week to post this review to see how the colour holds up, and I’m super impressed at how well the reds in the colour have lasted for a person who showers as compulsively as I do.

Very unique place with lots of talented stylists.

I went to The Beauty Shop on Tues this week to get a hair cut with Rachael who is apprenticing under the owner. (the cut turned out AMAZING!) The salon was SO much fun! There was glitter on the floor and art work from local artists displayed here and there, and great music to boot. The atmosphere made me feel like true artists were using me as their canvas and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Everyone there was professional and knowledgeable as well, so it wasn’t like just hanging out with some punk kids, but a place where I felt totally comfortable to get the style I wanted and to have some fun while at it. I can’t wait to go back!
