Worse gay bar I’ve ever been to, over charged for weak bar drinks. There on July 4th. A waste of time.

Love this friendly and exciting neighborhood bar! Always friendly with quick service and nice bartenders who are fun to talk with along with a stellar«regular» clientele as a wan if I wish to have an afternoon highball– this is one of the very few places I look forward to stopping in at here in Fort Worth, Texas!

It’s smaller than I thought it would be. Other than that I did have a good time there. It was fun.

Love the staff. Everyone is super friendly and they make you feel welcomed. Drinks specials are somewhat ok, but the environment and friendly faces are worth it the visit.

If you decide to go here, pay cash only unless you want to be charged double on your credit card and ignored when you bring it to the attention of the manager.

I was at a Bachlorette party recently. Keep in mind, the bride to be is a bi-sexual woman but made the choice to marry a man. She has been going to the Rainbow Lounge for YEARS without any issues. I have been a strong supporter of the gay/lesbian/bi-sexual communities and the hostess comment about my friend marrying a man when the gays and lesbians couldn’t get married was totally classless and unacceptable.(and FYI, I have many gay/lesbian friends who have gotten married in another state and Texas does recognize same sex marriages from other states) I have always believed in free love, regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, etc. I always enjoyed going to these clubs because I thought they were more accepting of everyone. Guess not in this case. That’s a shame. I will not be recommending anyone to go there anymore.

We’ve been here on several occasions and always leave feeling meh. The best time we’ve had here was actually on a random Wed night. So far as Friday and Saturday are concerned, they’re considerably more crowded, but regardless how busy they are, we’ve only received good service from one bartender. She works the front bar, closest to the entrance. Aside from that we get pretty much ignored or the wait time/speed of the server is quite lacking. Don’t even THINK about trying to go up and get a drink in the back bar up the few steps, as you’ll get straight up ignored. This has happened to us on more than two occasions. I do enjoy their patio: tables for sitting, high bar rails outside to stand at and chat, an outside bar to get a fresh drink at, and also fire pits for when it gets too chilly. They have boxes located throughout the bar with dancers(both male and female) shaking it to a pretty great mix of current and classic dance/pop music. I enjoy what this place could offer but the lackluster service leaves me underwhelmed. Sorry Rainbow, but you can find me across the street at Reflections.

Live in Plano and needed a break. Went out to the R.L. The bartender forgot her name… had like a faux hawk, she was wonderful… great service and attitude. The staff was very friendly and the people were a lot of fun. DJ played awesome music. Hands Down better than any bar I’ve been to in Dallas. All the fun none of the«DallaTude»

The wifey and I felt adventurous, soooo… We came here. Never been, always wanted to scope it out. Well, we had a good time. The folks in there were very nice to us. My wife wanted to sit at a table, but not me! I want at the bar next to all the action. I dont like going to new places and sit on the sidelines, I want to dive in. And indeed we did, and were well received. The place is good size, good tunes, lots of dancing. You can smoke in there, but it wasnt crazy smokey at all. They have an outdoor patio also. The bartenders were friendly, and I tipped them well. One thing that was funny… There was a newbie bartender there(I’m guessing they were new) I ordered a crown &7. She takes a shot glass, pours the Crown in it, and then puts it in the glass. I have never saw a bartender use a shot glass to measure… But you know what, I didn’t care, but did laugh about it later. Overall, we had a great time, and will be back!

I always have a blast at this bar. It’s always a great mix of people and it’s fun whether it’s a weekday or weekend. There is karaōke, drag wars and fantastic dancers. Drinks are reasonably priced– the bartenders are great. Love it!

I visit a LOT of clubs in Fort Worth during the year. I have my favorites, usually dive bars with grouchy bartenders and fellow customers of questionable integrity. We decided to hit Rainbow at the last minute, arriving around 10ish. We were waved through by the doorman who gave me a genuine smile and a nod. There may have been a cover later but we weren’t charged. The place had a crowd, nothing like it would be in a few hours but it was busy. We got cocktails, 2 drinks and 2 shots of Quevo came to $ 16 before tip so prices were VERY reasonable. Over the next few hours we HAD A BLAST. I have never encountered such a diverse crowd anywhere in the country. Everyone was friendly, having a good time, dancing, talking, laughing. We had planned on hitting a few more clubs Saturday night but were having so much fun we decided to just hang here. We enjoyed the go-go dancers, the music, the atmosphere, everything. Great light show and patio area too. We are already planning our next visit and which friends we’re going to invite cause this place is super special people!

I’ve been to this spot many times, with both gay and straight friends– and had a blast every time:) Great pop/dance music, friendly staff(and good looking) and plenty of people to dance with. Nice outdoor patio type thing to catch your breath and chat. great mix of people all there to have a good time. I never felt out of place or unwelcome– great experience if you love loud happy dance clubs

Loved this place. Went with a big group of friends and had a blast dancing. The door guy was a quite rude, but I just breezed by and ended up having a great night! Good lights, strong drinks, and fun music.

Went here with my sister, and a couple of her friends. This was my first club experience and it was awesome. There wasn’t a single dull moment. Very nice club, pretty casual & comfortable, great crowd, nice people, consistently good music. …Just plain awesome. Oh, and the go go dancers! Very attractive, very sociable, …good entertainment. I cant wait to go back. .This time in better shoes! :)

I went with a couple of my gay guy friends the last Friday of June ’11 and had a blast! Well, originally we were a little disappointed because one of the boys was only 19 and he had to pay a $ 10 cover while me and my other friend were free(we’re over 21). Also we got there I guess what you could consider«early»(around 10:30 pm) and had to wait till 11:20 for the real music to start. There was a variety show until then, mostly drag queens singing classic pop songs. If you’re not into that I recommend showing up closer to 11:30. The drinks were a little pricey($ 4 for a cherry vodka sour) but nothing too crazy. The DJ was great and it was awesome to see so many types of people in one place. I’ll definitely be going back in the future! :)

So I was visiting Ft Worth– had to check in on the Parentals. They were keeping the house at 82 degrees– when it was 70 outside, so I had to get away. Grabbed my prissy sissy and we headed out to Rainbow. I like gay bars because they always have danceable music, hot guys(I don’t care their orientation, I’m just window shopping) and I don’t get groped. The crowd on the Saturday we went was a mixed– all kinds, which I like. The music was great– well, to my 48 year old ears, anyway. The dancers were quite yummy– I have to say, the men were much yummier than the women dancers, but that’s ok. The bartenders and wait staff were quite polite and friendly. I’m used to dive gay bars in Northern California, so this place was definitely a step up. I enjoyed myself… and will have to find additional excuses for going to Ft Worth now(besides the Parentals) so I can return to Rainbow.

Hottest club in Tarrant. World class lighting, amazing bartenders, amazingly attractive staff(Including some knockout girls for the girls) and fantastic specials. The night of the raid is the only night I’ve ever heard of anyone here ever having a bad time. Go. Go now. I’ve been to almost every club in the area, and these guys mean business.

When I lived in long island new York in 90 the bars there had a certain feel of liberation, diversity and, in general, letting loose and being yourself: acceptance of all walks of life with a lack of pretense. My experience at rainbow lounge last night reminded me of that way of thinking; where trannies, business men, cute guys and lesbians mingeled and danced together in unison. Party atmosphere. Dated playlist, and that’s okay. No frills bar where you can smoke. Male and female dancers. Not fancy. Community feel. Fort Worth has come very far.

«We Have Been Raided!» reads the banner across the dance floor wall. Yes they were! Even on the Stonewall Riot 40th anniversary! I decided to pay a visit to this old haunt when I returned to Cowtown for my 30th high school class reunion. It was known as the 651 back then. I really loved the vibe of the bar. It seemed so diverse with its girly girl fish-netted go-go girls, go-go men, and go-go boys. There was even a flame eating man that performed in his skivvies! It was pretty hot. The dance music was beating on and the quick and friendly bartenders kept the patrons happy.
