Atmosphere, very authentic, only Mexicans in there, no one speaks English. If you want authentic, this is it. Only seats about 25, and there is a tv playing Telemundo. And they also serve real Mexican sodas in glass bottles. I LOVE Mexican food. Real, authentic Mexican food. This, was authentic, however, their service and chicken enchiladas need help. I’m rating this place a 3 for a couple of reasons. Sucks I don’t know Spanish, it was hard, but there was a serious language barrier. Please learn English, at least some, if your going to work in America. That’s all I ask. Because of the language barrier, I was ignored. I don’t think the waitress/hostess would have asked if everything was good or if I needed anything else(up sale) anyways even if I did speak Spanish. She had no idea what I meant when I asked for more ice, so I blew that off, my drink got cold enough later on. Now, the food. The rice was good, the beans had a funky taste, I won’t hold that against them, maybe it’s grandmas bean recipe. Who knows. However, the enchilada, need serious help. That’s my main course and it wasn’t good. The chicken was between decent and dry. And there was basically NO sauce on the inside, at all, so everything was dry. The cheese and a tablespoon of red sauce on top was what I was working with. So I mixed it with my beans to give it some liquid factor to be able to swallow. It wasn’t that great. I did have 1 cheese enchilada, and because there was a lot d cheese, it was good and gooey. And I’m not sure if I’m suppose to get chips and salsa automatically, or maybe your suppose to ask, or maybe is extra, but I didn’t get any if I was suppose to. And because she didn’t speak English, I couldn’t ask her. So, I’m at a loss for words. I can say, it was cheap! I paid $ 5.99 plus tax, that came out to $ 6 bucks and change. So, I guess you get what you pay for. I will be back to try something else, just not the enchiladas.

Bad service. Corn tamales were spoiled(sour). Pupusas were ok. Extremely boring and quite. No life. We ordered 5 different plates. they all took 20 mins for each plate to come out.

Visited this place just for the pupusa“s. Friendly staff but if your in a hurry, you might want to go else where. Great lunch special-3 pupusa“s, rice, beans and curtido all for $ 4.99. They have canned soft drinks. The pupusa were good. In comparison to Glorias(an El Salvadorian restaurant) Antojitos pupusa“s beat them by miles. They are generously stuffed with flavor filled meat and gooey melted cheese. The curtido was a little sweet for my tastes. I prefer my curitido on the tart side(Glorias takes the win for that). This is a must see whole in the wall if your looking to try something different. I will definitely be coming back.

Pretty good try the Gorditas and pupusas and its ok. Service wasn’t all that great even for them not been that busy. Price was cheap. Guess you get what you pay for. I may return. But a little family place.

Nice little hole in the wall place. Great price for lunch special and good size plate! Loved the chips wish they would have given more though :) we’ll be back!

The Bad: chips were not salted, salsas were bland and beans were bland. The Good: the rice was really tasty, the slaw was nice and refreshing and the pupusas were amazing! The pupusas were served hot, a tad crispy on the outside and filled with oozing cheese and porky goodness on the inside. And for $ 4.99 for 3 pupusas, rice, beans and slaw… you can’t really complain too much! They offer other stuff too but being that«Pupuseria» is written real big on the side of the door — I don’t think I’ll be trying anything else!

It’s aiight! If you can’t figure out what you’re hungry for and if you’re in the area, stop by and get a Popusa! But yeah, they’re okay, I guess.

Unfortunately this was severely disappointing– happening a lot on Unilocal lately. We ordered the enchiladas and a torta– the torta served with fries and on a McDonald’s wrapper. The food was flavorless and the service slow and not the most friendly. Don’t waste your time– better of just going to Taco Bell

I have no idea what they do to these tacos but I am ready to get back to FW for some more! The beef is cut into small cubes and have to best flavor. The ckn ones are shredded and soaked in their delicious broth. All topped w fresh shreds of lettuce and a homemade salsa. This is a dollar store strip mall hole in the wall. I love these finds! Seriously no one else had been there? Put it on your list if you happen over to the I20/McCart area. Super friendly little waitress too.
