After my flight home was cancelled I ended up staying here for the night. The room was clean and the staff friendly. There were three problems: 1. I booked a single king and got a queen. At this point I was so tired I didn’t care. 2. I chose this hotel because there was supposed to a shuttle to the airport. When I asked at the front desk they said they only provide this service on weekdays(?) and only until 5pm 3. And this was the worst… the water was foul. I’ve stayed in countries where they tell you not to drink the water from the tap, but I have never smelled water this horrible before… when I brushed my teeth I had to rinse out my mouth with bottled water. After I showered I had to slather on lotion and use three different hair products so I wouldn’t smell(this is no joke, I actually stank). For this reason alone I could never stay here again.

I have stayed here several times and since the price reflected the down side to the location I was pretty satisfied. But they have raised the rate to one if the most expensive I have stayed at. No gym, fridge, microwave, the smell in the room was terrible. I will find another hotel in Fort Wayne next time.

We’ve got the priority club membership and got the 500 points along with a Coke and a Sprite when we checked in… just as Andrea did a couple of years back. The 500-point bonus and the reasonable price made this a super deal for us. The common area was clean and inviting, complimentary breakfast bar tended by a friendly server, a clean and comfortable room and convenient access to expressway and major highways. Can’t beat it for a one-night stay during a road trip.

Typically, Holiday Inn Expresses are a good place to stay and this one was no exception. The lobby area was nice and inviting. The employees were also very kind. I had a king room with a sofa. They have not upgraded their TVs to flat screens like many hotels but it worked just fine. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. I am a priority club member and they did something at this hotel that I have never experienced at any other. Normally, you get a goody bag along with a water. At this hotel they gave me the choice of water, coke or sprite(and some diet one too) along with the option of either a goody bag or 500 pts to my account. I loved being able to get an extra 500 pts! Overall, good stay. Just be warned, getting to the hotel is a bit tricky at first.

Upon checking into the room at 1:30 am, almost anything would look good, I was so tired and ready to crash! However, it still looks good with some sleep and seeing more the facility. I thought the hotel was pretty new and was surprised when the front desk manager told me that the building was six years old. He said they have a good team and«been fortunate with the guests» which I took that guests haven’t trashed rooms and the like. There’s a complimentary breakfast served in the morning. You can get a cheese omelet, sausage, assorted breads, cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. The room was $ 89 for two double beds. My only complaint and it’s a small one is the toiletries in the bathroom. There are six tubes of various liquids with cute names like«Scrub», «Wash» or «Refresh». Perhaps I’m being too linear, but what’s wrong with names like«Shampoo», «Bath Soap» and«Mouthwash»? Is «Soften» conditioner or it is body lotion? Probably the former, but again, it’s annoying. The hotel is conveniently located near I-69 and near the airport.
