The restaurant’s atmosphere was very welcoming and the service was great. The portions were very generous and the food was great.

Everything here is good. Really. Everything! I came for a family outing and we shared three sushi rolls. I also ordered the teriyaki salmon with brown rice, a house salad, a miso soup topped off with a glass of Merlot. The sushi was incredible! I had the fuko maki(a vegetarian roll with spinach), spicy salmon crunch, and the fire dragon roll(this roll is a must have). Each roll was fresh and flavorful. The teriyaki salmon was cooked perfectly– something that is hard to find. The fish almost melted in your mouth, and the sauce was sweet but not overpowering. The portions were generous and the prices were inexpensive relative to the quantity and quality of the food. Service was friendly and food was brought out promptly. The restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate larger parties. Décor was tasteful and the restrooms were sparkling clean. Because there are a variety of meat and vegetarian options on the menu in addition to sushi, this restaurant is ideal for groups whose members have various dietary preferences. Asakusa is a must for anyone dining in the Ft. Wayne area.

BEST sushi in FW hands down! Both locations !! Has become the only place in Fort Wayne I will have sushi. My daughters and I go at least once a month. We are now we are now starting to branch out and try different things on the menu. Everything has been excellent.

This past weekend was my first experience at this FW hotspot for sushi. I attended with friends and the atmosphere was welcoming and has a romantic vibe. Our service was good… although our house salads to start were forgotten by our server. For not being busy that was a let down. We did agree to have it dropped off after the sushi had arrived. Not a huge fan of the house salad with ginger dressing. We chose miso and clear soup to start. I would have to say the clear soup is the winner between the two. We also ordered edamame and tempura avocado. Edamame was excellent. I am definitely a fan of it served chilled rather than hot. Tempura avocado was bland but the sauces served with it helped pick up some flavor. There were four of us and we ordered: california roll, winter roll, hikari maki, spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon crunchy roll, and the aloha roll. We had a little bit of leftovers so it was a perfect amount. I was let down by the spicy tuna roll– it was not tightly wrapped and each piece fell apart when trying to eat with chop sticks. I resorted to using a fork. Aloha roll was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t crazy about the idea of pineapple but it was amazing… A-LO-HA! Hikari maki is now going to be a must next time I eat here. The smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, seaweed, and the crunchy outside paired with a sweet, spicy sauce was delicious! Split the bill four ways and was $ 15/piece. Shocked. Tons of sushi and apps for literally nothing. I will be back soon– especially after seeing they offer a happy hour from 2:30pm-4pm. Sushi happy hour– I can dig it.

Five stars for the perfection of Katsu Donburi(pork cutlet served with egg over rice), just like in Japan. I enjoy both types of soup and the unusual dressing on the starter salad. My fellow diners were happy with the shrimp hibachi and teriyaki chicken. The only thing I would skip is the vegetable tempura, as the vegetables are much more cooked than I prefer. Note that if you want tempura veggie-only, make sure to be very clear, because it comes with shrimp by default. The sushi is great too and lots of non-raw options for the squeamish. These chefs really know what they’re doing, and use high quality ingredients to do it with. No fusion here, this is the authentic Japanese restaurant you’ve been looking for. Atmosphere: Dark, quiet but not too quiet, very classy and professional, and well designed to have conversations at the table without hearing or bothering other tables. Tasteful décor.

These guys use quality beef for their teriyaki lunch items. I have never seen a restaurant that serve rib eye(or could be filet) on a ~$ 10 beef lunch item. The only thing that keeps me from coming here more often is that the teriyaki meats are fried rather than grilled(restaurants do this to save on cooking time).

The perfect sushi! My brother and I visit Fort Wayne every month for a class and come here the second we get in! Spicy salmon maki and the Tokyo roll are my go to favorites, the Tokyo has the most delicious big slabs of avocado! His favorite is the Mexican roll(a close competitor for my favorite as well!) it has cilantro in it, so good! We went to the original Lima restaurant once as well and it is of course delicious, but this location we always get right in and is more open of an atmosphere. I will be sad when our monthly classes are over JUST for this place!!!

As fantastic as the original on Lima Road and offering more sushi options! The interior is stunning and is more open space– wise. It has a great atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a group celebration. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the tea is now offered in bags only, so you only get about 2 cups from a bag and have to pay for another bag. Not a deal breaker for me though. I can’t wait to go back!

Another great Asakusa location! They are staying consistent with the menu, but I must say, the quality of fish is even better! The best crazy maki I’ve had so far! The staff is great and the place is beautiful. The only things they can work on: more seasoning on their vegetables and speed, but im sure it will get quicker once the place is up and running all the time and things flow more smoothly. Great job Asakusa team, welcome to the neighborhood!
