Asked for the sushi menu and our server laughed a little bit, told us that there was no sushi because the sushi chef was«sick.» Then laughed a little more and told us again that he was sick and pointed at her head. Weird. The food we did end up getting was good — chicken teriyaki and bulgogi.

I can say enough about this great restaurant and people who operate it. They always do something special for the kids and introduce me to something new on their menu that’s delicious. Each time I have gone their consistent in delivering great food.

Called to make a reservation and was told ‘we don’t have sushi tonight’… Huh? What kind of sushi bar doesn’t have sushi? Too many other options around town, I won’t try again.

I would NEVER eat here again! GROSS! Hard rice & dry(old tasting) chicken… And the sushi roll was so small and fell apart as soon as I touched it with my chopstick … Barely ate any of the box meal, too disgusting … NEVERAGAIN

The menu it’s horrible! The specials are full of «cheap rolls» in cucumber. Was trying to ask the waitress if they would make with regular rice and seaweed wrap and she said«you don’t have to order it» before I was able to finish. You have been blacklisted in my book! I’d give u half a star if I could!

Too expensive, rolls really small, rather bland. Service was great but I won’t be back.

Wow! We ate here recently and loved the experience! We came in with the idea of ordering sushi, but when we realized there was Korean available we shifted gears. We ordered a spicy seafood soup which was fantastic, with such a wonderful depth of flavor. The portion size was generous; we each actually ended up with 3 meals from it. The service was attentive and friendly. We learned that they focus on serving authentic(not Americanized) Korean dishes. Looking forward to returning the next time I visit Destin. Just FYI, when we first drove up we thought they were closed but then we realized the parking lot is in the back.

Let me just say that it wasn’t horrible… The description of the two stars, «Meh. I’ve experienced better» is completely true. I have a suspicion that several of the five star Unilocal reviews are from friends or co-workers because it’s a little ironic to have one review, no friends and BAM! FIVESTARS! The people running the restaurant are very nice, though. I have the feeling that their patronage is low because they were a little too attentive. «Is it good?» «How is everything?» «Are you enjoying your food?» Jeesh! Let me eat already! But I’m not marking them down on that at all. We went for lunch and my friends ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi, Philadelphia roll, Amigo roll, Bom Dragon roll. I ordered gyoza, an asparagus tempura roll and a spicy tuna roll. I asked if the gyoza could be steamed and the answer was no. Fried. Ok, then. The gyoza came out definitely fried. Pretty greasy and just not very good. I believe that they were the frozen pre-packaged gyoza — almost exactly like the ones I buy from the commissary. They looked and tasted freezer burned. My friend’s soup, I am assuming a miso of some type, tasted off. It had a very odd aftertaste that wasn’t immediately apparent until after a few swigs. Anyhow, she said her steak and shrimp were just okay. Her rice looked to be very over-saturated with soy sauce. It didn’t look appealing. My spicy tuna roll… The sushi I am used to has a piece of tuna in the center. This was ground up? Not what I expected. It reminded me of raw hamburger consistency. The flavor was okay, and the spice on it was okay, but I just didn’t care for it. My asparagus tempura roll came with eel sauce on top. The roll itself, wasn’t too bad, but the eel sauce was waaaay too sweet and they put waaay too much on it. The Bom Dragon roll was good, according to my friend, but at around $ 14? Not THAT good! The Amigo roll was supposed to be made with a jalapeño, and the chef even came over to show us the pepper he used, but we were all convinced that it was a green bell pepper. I know that sometimes jalapenos aren’t spicy, but this tasted like a dang bell pepper!!! Her Philadelphia roll was, again, just ok. My friends and I all agreed that we won’t be returning here, unfortunately.

I’ve gone twice for lunch and have not been disappointed. Their portions are big and very delicious, also the price is right. I wouldn’t go for a dinner/date night.

Been several times now and it is always phenomenal! They are always very nice and portions are very large. I recommend the Sake Bom Dragon however we have enjoyed everything we’ve tried so far.

I don’t usually like mixing, but I got sushi and I got the bulgolgi plate to split with my girlfriend. The bulgolgi was spot on. I should have asked for it to be spicier but the flavors were perfect. The sushi was also very good. The roll that stuck out in my head was the sunset maki, it was wrapped in cucumber and it was delicious and very light and refreshing. The waitress was very nice, she even sat there and squeezed every last drop out of my Kirin lol. The sushi chef came over and made sure that everything was up to par and that we liked everything. Go… it’s worth it

Recommended for lunch as they have nice portions that taste very good! The service is great and will definitely be coming back often! The waitress is very kind and helpful. I usually get the bulgogi hibachi lunch which again has huge portions. The fried rice is really good too as its cooked in a hibachi style! Yum!
