Gold’s Gym

I love this gym. Friendly staff and my son enjoys the child care and I can check on him by turning the cardio T.V.s to the CC channel they have set up to see what the little darlings are up to. They have some of the best maintained cardio equipment in comparison to other gyms in the area, as a matter of fact for the last two days I have seen a maintenance man working on two of the machines (this is a first, and I have been to a few gyms in FWB). They also offer a lot of good classes and everyone there seems to be in beast mode and it sets the atmosphere that I personally like to workout in. You don’t see people vegetating on their phones while nursing the equipment either. The locker rooms are always well kempt and there are plenty of lockers to go around and you can actually keep your stuff locked up overnight. I love this gym and sincerely wish I would have gone here to begin with. I thought they would be too expensive but that brings me to my last point… they are no more expensive than any other GOOD gym. You get what you pay for. There is a HUGE difference in Gold’s Gym and these 9.99/month gyms. It’s worth it to pay a little more for better quality all around. IMHO

OK small gym and group classes. No sauna, steam, whirlpool or massage facilities. Limited childcare available. Poor business admin (fees, billing, termination, etc). Save yourself headaches and $ by going to a different gym that doesn’t take its customers for granted…

I ran to the Gold’s Gym in Fort Walton Beach, and of course was sweating when I arrived. I was told that I can’t use the gym while I was sweating. So, I guess you can’t sweat while you work out at Gold’s Gym. Never coming back.

this gym has changed my life! seriously a friend introduce me to this gym, and I’m now 30lbs lighter and feeling confident and healthier than ever before thanks to the great staff. The nutritionist is amazing, she has taught me self control, and how to live a healthier life without killing myself. The thing that I love the most about the gym is everyone is family… with that being said when i move to California I’m going to very sad:(

Pretty good gym — I live in California but I’ve been coming here since the place opened. Friendly staff and decent weekly rates. The place is always decently clean — for a gym. If you don’t like being surrounded by meat heads — this isn’t the place for you. The members are all very nice but I can see how it would be intimidating for some people.

Not a local to Ft. Walton, but needed a gym to go to for lifting while on holiday. I went on a Friday morning, bought a $ 10 day pass that was good while the staff was present. (24hr venue, but pass good only til 9pm)
The venue is small compared to the gym I am a member of at home.
The equipment was stacked on top of each other.
The free weight area met my lift requirements.
The BodyStep class I went to had 7 women in it, including the instructor.
I would have loved it if it had a jacuzzi, sauna, and/​or steam room.
I would visit again if I am ever in this area, but if I lived here, I wouldn’t be a member at this location – it’s too cramped.

Used to be the premier gym in our area, but has steadily declined in the past year, as competition has moved into the area. The facility is clean, and I was a member for 4 years but have now chosen to go elsewhere. Riviera, and Planet Fitness have much better space and no equipment crowding.

Great gym with fantastic classes. Unfortunately they don’t have a ‘class only’ membership, otherwise I would have joined. Bummer. I like classes but hate to ‘work out’.
Nice staff, clean facilities, and nice members. Parking is a little precarious.

I have been a member for about a month. They keep the place very clean, and have great classes. The staff greets each person as they come through the door, and everyone is willing to assist you. It’s a great place to get fit!
It’s best to avoid the after work rush. Sometimes it can be hard to find a place to park.

This is a great gym in a great location! The facility is IMPECCABLY clean. Lots of great classes too! The cardio area is just right… it is rare that you can’t find a piece of equipment to jump on. They recently went to 24 hour ops M-​F too! AWESOME!!! Now I can get my early morning sweat on! And for those with kids… they even have child care!

Well, I wish I went here more often but that’s my fault.
For thirty bucks a month, the gym is well-​maintained, clean, has a lot of machines and a plethora of classes. It’s crowded right after work but otherwise, not bad.
I would give it five stars if it were open 24 hours.
