Publix Super Markets

It’s Publix! It’s always a five star experience.
The bakery ladies at this one are so super duper friendly, knowledgeable, fun and funny! They will let you know what’s so very delicious and what to try. They make the best breads around. The loaf, with garlic cloves in it and the Raspberry Cake in the case is to die for!!!

The store is always clean, so are the public restrooms, and I use this pharmacy as well. The staff is consistent which is nice to be able to be recognized by the staff.

The store itself is a little backwards in displays than I’m used to. It’s still a great layout and everything is neat and clean… 3 stars.
Good stop, however, the only thing that would make me severely down rate this stop to a 1 or 2 stars, is the fact the kid bagging our groceries kept biting his nails as he places things in our bags.
Seriously.
Every time he put something in our bag or had a minute of down time, in went the whole hand in his mouth. He wasn’t licking his fingers as if he were opening bags, he was sticking his fingers in his mouth to bite his nails. Except at one point, he was knuckle deep with a finger. It was quite disgusting, and I didn’t want to touch the buggy or my bags after he touched it!
I know what you’re thinking — he must have been handicapped, and I can assure you, he wasn’t. He was just a normal 17(ish) year old kid, and kids tend to gnaw at their fingers sometimes!
When/​If I go back, I’m sure as hell not going to go to his line!

Most Publix fried chicken is excellent. If I’m in a mad rush and going to a gathering, I can scoop up an 8-​piece and bring it along and it will be wonderful. This… doughy hot mess had to be thrown away. Aside from that it seems like a perfectly nice normal Publix.

I love ALL Publix, why… because they still thrive on CUSTOMER SERVICE, not price, not crappy products, but good old, «the Customer is right, give them what they want.» I wanted 4 buns instead of 8, I asked the bakery to reduce the package, lady said no problem, which saved me MONEY!!! Who says Publix isn’t the cheapest place to shop, your wrong…

Public is the best for all over for fresh food.

This is an average Publix, which is actually pretty good.
It’s a large store with just about anything you would want.
Downers? Huge grocery carts. They don’t have the cute little ones that Sweetbay has and seem to be so popular. They also have a little stand «manned» with a lady who prepares little plates of samples for people. What’s wrong with that? It doesn’t work. Even if someone is in the booth, she is always either preparing or closing up. This is a good idea that doesn’t work…
