Had dinner here tonight. Food was excellent. I had a combination plate with shrimp, scallops, and mahi mahi. Sautéed veggies and red potatoes. My wife had crab encrusted salmon with the same sides. It was all delish. Everything tasted fresh and the service was great. By checking in on Unilocal,it earned us a free slice of key lime pie, which was also very good. Casual atmosphere with excellent food. Our server, Forest, was great.

Gabi took great care of us and was spot on with her recommendations of the blackened tuna bites appetizer and the grouper entrée!

Service??? The bartender on Sunday May 29 at 4 pm had to be one of the worst EVER. 2 other people sitting at the bar and after she took our order, and it was delivered NEVER came and asked if everything was okay, if we needed anything. The drinks were fine, but the food was not. Service was a joke, no wonder the place was empty. Go next door to SOB. I defiantly will not be back. I would give the place less than 0 stars but its not allowed. Stay away.

Our first time eating at this fish house. We used to go to the one by the canal at the other end of the island and loved it. We’re very disappointed by this location. First we were socked for $ 8.00 to park just to eat dinner. Quality of food received for the price was poor. If you like fried foods you’ll love this place. The fish taco consisted of cabbage and cheese with a small amount of fish. The taco shell was dried out. 2 tacos for $ 17.00. When you are in Florida you expect the very best fish. I ordered my grouper blackened for my tacos which had no flavor.

The Fish House on Ft. Myers Beach is as good as it gets. My wife and I have eaten at the Fish House on Sanibel several times and love it. So when their Ft. Myers Beach restaurant recently opened we couldn’t wait to try it and we weren’t disappointed. If you’re looking for an interesting and extensive seafood menu, with the freshest fish, cooked to perfection than look no farther. The best part about this restaurant besides the fish is that the staff is courteous, helpful and friendly and the prices won’t break the bank, like most sea food restaurants. They make a great fish dip appetizer, definately a must try. Their fried oysters are to die for, their fresh ahi tuna sandwiches can’t be beat for the money, love their fried grouper Rubin and the paella is loaded with seafood and delicious, just to mention some of our favorites. The Fish House has a fun colorful island décor with an interesting lighted bar, a great beer selection, big screen TV’s and the front windows are overhead doors that open up to bring the outside inside. What’s not to love about this restaurant? The Fish House is a must visit if you’re going to be on Ft. Myers Beach for lunch or dinner, or just looking for a fun friendly place for cocktails and appetizers by the water.

Looks good from outside. But not impressed with menu. Food was just ok and over priced. Seats uncomfortable and plastic. Servers ok. Probably won’t stop back in. Go next door to smoking oyster.

No Bueno! No clue! Over cooked fried Grouper(a whole 4 ounces $ 17.99), Shrimp drowned in melted ice water, tasteless Conch Soup. $ 200.00 for 4 people for Lunch. slow service. DONOTRECOMMEND!

When a server comes across as hipster douchebag aloof you should have a right to expect spectacular food and service. That oughta be a rule and this place would be the exception to that rule! Waiter sucked, the food was blah and not cheap despite the fact that they use melamine plates!

My seafood was overcooked and was just okay. They did credit my bill seeing as I hardly ate anything. They’re in a new building and they just seemed out of sorts. The food runners were taking food to wrong tables… not once but twice. I won’t be back. There are soooo many other restaurants with excellent seafood on the island.

Had a great paella– clams, mussels, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo all atop rice, olives, peas, and beans. Scrumptious! Fun atmosphere and heated patio.

Their fish is awesome, they have an incredible menu. We ordered fried clams, they were HUGE, Lobster mac + cheese, incredible and a Lobster roll, excellent. My husband went to pick it up, they were so friendly and courteous. Incredible service!

One last hoorah — sad to see them moving to downtown Fort Myers Beach ~ just isn’t our hangout. Great food, great customer service and decent prices. Best of luck in your new adventure, Fish House!

Don’t bother. Prices reflect water location not the quality of the cuisine. Plastic silverware. Previously frozen foods not fresh ingredients. Waitress served us well, hostess was the hardest working woman in the state bussing tables, seating customers and rearranging the seating. Too much $$ for disappointing food.

Love this place, especially if I can sit in the covered area by the water. Very healthy food choices, which is hard to find.

Went back here for lunch yesterday. The good news is that their buy one get one rum runner special is still around. The bad news was that the quality of the food has gone downhill, while prices have gone up. My husband had the blackened grouper sandwich featuring the smallest piece of fish I have ever seen in a sandwich. The sandwich buns were also mealy and stale which was pretty unpleasant. Lastly, the fish in my crunchy grouper sandwich was dry and flavorless. That was likely our last visit to The Fish House. A shame, since it used to be good.

Our experience here was pretty limited; we went in for cold beer and oysters on the patio. If your joint is called the Fish House, you should be able to hit those staples pretty hard, but they oysters were really muddy and otherwise pretty flavorless. Service was a little inconsistent as well, though the patio was nice.

Great food and views but out waitress was high as a kite. Took 10 minutes for her to come to our table(restaurant just opened), took a while for our beers and she split out order wrong(for two people). With it for the food but they need better help.

Not my favorite at fmb. So there is a deck, Big deal it should be about the food. Mostly fried selections. Some healthy salads but definitely not worth waiting in line for. Try Nellies instead

Not sure why this place has such a low rating. I never expect much from restaurants on the waterfront, they usually have mediocre food and lackluster service because the location promises that they will be busy. However, I went for dinner tonight with my brother and everything was great. The hostess seated us promptly, and even accommodated out request to move to a table outside on the patio. We caught the last 15 minutes of happy hour and our friendly waiter up sold us on a pitcher of Yeungling served with chilled pint glasses. For appetizers we started with the Fried Shrimp Jalepeño Poppers and the Blackened Tuna Bites. The poppers were awesome. Pro tip: Instead of the sweet chili sauce they are served with– ask for some Buffalo Sauce. For our entrees my brother got the seared tuna melt and I got a jerk grouper sandwich. Both sandwiches were very tasty, and the fries that accompanied them were legit. Our waiter up sold us again with a dessert– Cheesecake stuffed with a keylime pie. We had to. We also ordered fish and chips togo for our grandparents. The whole bill came to be around $ 80 plus tip. Really reasonable in my opinion. Normally I would give this place a 4 stars, but I feel like it needs to get a little boost on Unilocal

Ducked in after a day of boating and was I glad I did, here’s why: * On the water * Waterfront * We arrived by boat * Dog-friendly operation * Good food * Fine Value * Indoor and outdoor seating * Clean and well run My lobster bites were tasty and cooked well, and were indeed Florida Spiny Lobster. However they were poorly seasoned. I shall return. Cabeza OUT!
