I was hoping that fort lee location is better but its about the same as one in the city. I had to use bathroom after i had combo menu. I had stomach cramps. Just one word, dont go. Worst rice cake ever had. Never going to yyupduck in any locations in tristate area period.

Best tteokbokki ever! I love this place. I also recommend the bulgogi if you don’t want something spicy. I stop by here everytime I am craving tteokbokki and rice balls or kimchi bokkeum bap.

First time trying this place. Ordered BUdae Jigae. Mediocre taste. TOO much MSG that left my head hurting. I know that they do not specialize in Jigae, but still. No side dishes at all, which is typical of Korean restaurant. Budae Jigae was loaded with Kimchi. Might as called Kimchi Jagae. the place was clean and the staff was friendly and def has a parking, which is a good thing. However, that is it.

I was about to write my review then I read Ji J’s review and I totally agree with her. We shared the yupdduk, soondae, assorted 4 pcs, skwered oden with milded, Rice ball with tuna, and I washed it down with a large coors light. Everything was under $ 40. BTW I didn;t come here with Ji J though. The Bathroom is shared with the other restaurant. The other place is a fancier place that serves Korean Chinese food. You need to exit this place and walk into the other place. I would come back to try the donkatsu and other rice dishes.

They have really good cheese donkatsu(other good places would be tto tto wah and bunsiknara in my opinion). As for the rice cake, it’s alright but not my favorite.

Obscure little spot that just opened, so I thought I would check it out. It’s literally hidden behind a giant Chinese restaurant so make sure you turn that extra corner. Menu largely consists of Korean street-style snacks but there are also a few meat casseroles and soups. I decided to try the things they plaster all over their walls and purport to be famous for: ddukboki, rice balls covered in seaweed, and pork Katsu. The ddukboki was alright, a little too watery and sweet but good enough to satisfy a craving. The rice balls were really addicting and fun to snack on. The Katsu was impressive, especially the sauce which was different than most places in a good way! It was kind of tomato-y and sweet. It came on a platter with some sweet corn, mashed potato and coleslaw. I also tried a spicy pork plate that was good, almost comparable to the kind of stuff you get at a normal bbq place. Finally, there was an order of fried sweet potato/kabocha squash/seaweed noodle things which was really disappointing since it sounded so good but ended up being coated in the thickest and most oily batter you ever saw. All in all this is a really fun and cute place to go with friends and order small comfort food plates to share, but the food was really nothing I would come back running for.

Food: 4 stars Décor: 4 stars Price: 4 stars Service: 3.5 stars Great Korean comfort food/cafeteria style food. dduk bokki/Topokki(spicy rice cake), Budae Jjigae, Kimchi Friedrice were excellent. Spam Mayo over rice was decent. Kimbap was good too. They also had soju and beer, but cash only for now. I would definitely come back. It’s a good addition to Fort Lee area. It’s better than School Zone.
