Decent naeng myun and service. I’ve had better at other restaurants in the area.

This is a Korean noodle place. Not Chinese! Stick to the first three showcase noodle dishes: bibim cold broth noodles. It’s amazing. Dumplings appetizers are handmade and purposely bland to contrast with the spicy noodles you can ask for different levels of spicy. I have found spicy to mean near raw jalapeño spicy in a good way.

Disappointed. In a town that teems with Korean businesses, Woori Noodle did not impress. Sad bibimbap. The tofu bean paste soup that my husband got had a very unusual funky odor to it that was gaggarific. Banchan were decent, especially the fishcakes. We won’t be back to try them again! As for aesthetic, Woori does have that down-home, casual Korean hangout flair down. Grandma and grandpa watching K-dramas while sipping on their soup. Bored-looking waitresses with thick winged black eyeliner counting down minutes til close.

I went to Woori Noodle soon after it opened since it was close to where I worked. With Jersey summer heat, it seemed like a good idea for me and my colleague to head over there for a bowl of naeng-myun(cold noodles). When we got there, the back room was surprisingly large and bright unlike when a pizza parlor was occupying it just a few months back. So we liked that… even though the entry way is narrow and funky.(just the building design flawI think…) on to the food, for some reason, my colleague ordered a hwangtae jjigae, which is a fish stew, and he hated it. I have no idea why he’d order that in a cold noodle place but that’s what happened. I was going to order the cold noodle to see if their claim for a good bowl of naengmyun holds any water, but being the spontaneous foodie that I am, I saw a memo on the wall advertising a summer special — mil-myun, which I never heard of, but was supposed to be a cross between the spicy bibim naengmyun(no soup stock) and the naengmyun(ample soup stock). I decided to give it a try since it could be a 2-birds-in-1-stone kinda deal. When it came out, I wasn’t disappointed. It had a lot of cold refreshing broth, and just the right amount of spicy toppings of bibim naengmyun thrown on the top. Sure being Fort Lee the $ 11 or so price tag was a bit high, but what can you do…(FL is known for ridiculously high rent for business owners…) I put both the vinegar and the hot mustard(a little) and it was fantastic! Noodle amount was good, they could’ve thrown in more slabs of roasted meat though. Their side dish were pretty average, but I did enjoy seconds on their fruit/veggie salad. My colleague and I went back about two times and he tried the Milmyun like I suggested, and liked it as well. We also tried their steamed dumplings, which were OK at best. With lunch costing $ 25-$ 30 easy and a little light on quantity, I wouldn’t go back often, but I would on the hottest days to cool off with their wonderful cold broth.

Although the storefront is not very attractive I was taken away by the cozy dinning room in the back. Its simple but something about it makes me feel like I’m eating in korea. Their menu selection is limited but they do offer specials that are posted on the walls. However, you will definitely need a translator because the specials are entirely written in korean. In a previous review I read that the place was not adequately air conditioned but it wasn’t an issue this time. Overall i really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Perhaps they have made some improvements since the previous reviews.

There is something wrong with this place; please don’t go here. We went here for lunch today and we both got the nengmyun/galbi combo. Everything from the beginning was SO not kosher. They gave us 3 side dishes —(2) pieces of deep fried zucchini, a plate of the pickled radishes that are standard at all nengmyun places, and a plate of sesame oil-dressed broccoli. The radishes were SUPER bland, when usually they’re supposed to be sweet and tart. The broccoli was somehow laced with MSG(?!), and I did not try the zucchini. I then asked for yook soo — the beef broth they give you to drink. And… and I kid you not, it smelled like the bully sticks or cow hooves I give my dogs as treats. Do you know what bully sticks are? They are rolled up/stretched out pieces of dried bull penises. And cow hooves are cow hooves but those as dog treats smell exactly like what you would imagine cow hooves to smell like if cows had been out in the pasture all day stepping in dirt and their own manure. That is what the yook soo smelled like, and what I imagine those things would taste like. I kept sipping on it hoping it would get better but that could have been my undoing. My companion, who I presume never had the pleasure of smelling dog treats made out of various scandalous parts of cow, just concluded that the yook soo smelled like it was made out of really old beef ingredients. Then the nengmyun and galbi came out. This is what I have to say about each dish– Nengmyun — the broth, without exaggeration, tasted like it was made out of Sprite or 7up, take your pick. It was sweet. It is not supposed to be sweet. So I dumped my yook soo into it hoping it would make it better. It did not. I have never tasted such appalling nengmyun. Galbi — I thought it was ok. He did not. However, I will say that the beef at some points did taste old. As if it had been sitting in the fridge for a week before it was cooked. I have done that before(not by choice, just out of hope and stupidity) and that is what the glabi tasted like. I am not sure if this lunch was what caused me to become nauseous and vomit approximately 5 hours later. I am still not feeling great. In conclusion, my experience at this place elicited feelings of confusion, disappointment, and at times, horror.

I’ve been dying to try this place ever since it opened(for 4 – 5 months now). It was hot, sticky and humid – what’s better than a bowl of cold naeng myun to cool you down, right? But man was I disappointed. The soup base had absolutely no flavour. Thank goodness for vinegar and yellow mustard – otherwise it would have been just eating it in icy water. The galbi… about 4 pieces came with bones on them and the rest was just sliced meat. I have never seen galbi quality so poor-I’m not a huge fan of 75% fat and 25% meat. It’s also very sweet(extremely sweet but that can be my taste bud) Bibim naeng myun… SWEET. I don’t mind sweet if it’s good(like their competitor in Pal. Pk) but this had no flavour! Just SWEET. The dish was so bad that I felt bad for the noodles… for being there. Sad to say but I won’t return.
