We have lived in Fort Lee for 3 years and finally decided to try this place. We are at the gym across the street every day, and typically go to BCD or Crome; I’m sorry we didn’t try this earlier. Fun atmosphere, good menu selection and attentive waiters/waitresses. Everyone was very polite, and the waitress helped us choose some recommended dishes off of the menu. The spicy chicken gizzard was amazing; much better than other places in the area. We went during happy hour(before 8pm) and got an entire pitcher of Allagash for $ 15. That’s an insane deal. We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

Revisited to have a couple of drinks, and the service has gotten much better with the new employees. Prices of food and drinks were affordable, and the place was pretty busy for a weekday. I’ll be visiting more often.

This review is strictly for Oak tong’s lunch specials. Always known this place to be a drinking venue and never imagined that they served lunch. Walked into find out that they only accepts cash but everything on the lunch menu is only $ 10 — INCLUDINGTIP! What can you expect for $ 10 these days? apparently a whole lot at this place. We ordered the following 1) Pork bbq with small soy bean paste soup, 2) Sashimi Bibim bop(missing pic) 3) Jjam Pong(Spicy seafood soup) with rice and 4) Spicy chicken sauté. Portions were very generous and quality of the food was not skim either. It was truly a nice surprise in this neck of the town. Atmosphere was very hectic due to lots of people constantly coming in for lunch. Noticed that there were many items on the menu which will take me days to try them all. When food came out, one of the dishes too much longer than the others and we had to wait for one person to catch up. 5 Stars for price, 4 stars for food and 3 stars for service.

They have an awesome lunch selection everyday for ten dollars(tax included) and the portions are crazy. The only thing that bothers me is that it is cash only, but other than that, I have no complaints. Try to avoid rush hours and go a bit later around 2:30−4.

Good Happy hour deals on drinks and on Sunday’s too. Kimchi pajun — good. Fried chicken wings jalapeño — good, not too salty and they’re generous on the jalapeños. Both dishes could’ve been crispier though. Service was good.

$ 8 yuengling pitchers for happy hour, you say? Hmmm. Not too shabby. (They actually ran out) Drank the pumpkin ale pitcher instead, which paired well with the Army Stew. You don’t know Army Stew, you say? It’s a ridiculous fusion mix of spicy kimchi stew, tofu, instant ramen noodles, spam, hot dogs, and cheese. It serves two to four people, while boiling on a propane burner brought to your table. Yes, mind blown. Until you taste it. The frankenstein-like creation is delicious. Although the instant ramen, hot dogs, cheese, and spam cause flashbacks to all the horrific meals you consumed in college. Hey, don’t knock it. You got through school didn’t ya? Anyhow, the décor/ambiance is actually nice for a sports bar. Large flat screen tvs adorn the walls. You can watch sports while eating korean bar food and drinking beer. And the music isn’t too loud to have a decent conversation. One star deducted for the poor parking situation. You can park on the street from 6 pm to midnight. I’m coming back. Especially since baden baden in palpark closed.

Finally, this place has become a spot that I can enjoy. I was not a big fan before but I heard they have changed their chef and got a sushi corner also. This was a place to go because I was too lazy to try anything else and right near my apartment. But now it is part of the bar hopping routine. Wing factory to Oak Tong to Beer Spot and finally Phở 32 to close the night. Sushi corner is where you need to sit and chat with the friendly chef. He makes sure that you are taken care of because he believes in customer service and good vibe. When he makes new menu, then he wants you to try and give him some feedback. So I do as if I’m the most important food critic in town. Fried chicken traditional style is really good. It is very tender, not dry and simple. It’s not your double fried chicken wings but the whole chicken is cooked in korean style. I also like their pork kimchee stew because they put plenty of meat in the soup unlike some other places. Spicy clam stir fry is also very good. I am impressed with their change and hopefully it will continue this way. By the way, they have a lunch menu that is all $ 10. WOW. Yes you can get your sashimi salad, kalbi and miso soup combo and everything for $ 10.

Best service and really great appetizers! I love going to oak tong since the food is good, service is awesome and the atmosphere itself is a good place to drink with friends or have a somewhat fun experience. Absolutely recommend oak tong ! Get the soju chilled as a slush and spicy seafood soup!

On a weeknight, stopped-by here completely sober to meet people who were already there with only drinks ordered. I decided to order something from the menu not knowing what was good. It was kinda hard to really ask the the people I was with since they were kinda in a serious conversation. I ordered skewers thinking hat could go wring with grilling some mixed chicken, beeef, shrimp etc… Guess what comes out and tasting all burnt. One waitress is just too busy drinking with her budddies or whatever., hmmm where are all the other workers… blehh just lost appetite realized there was a bell didn’t even want to ask for a new order done, just ordered more drinks… This was my 2nd time going here, the first time I can’t really tell if food was any good because having to go really late being little drunk. All I r3member even back then I was thinking never go back but can’t remember full details.

I love this place! They have made significant changes this place which makes it worth all those on the fence wanting to try this place. First off food is sooooo much better then when they first opened. Sushi/sashimi dishes are well worth the money and with colder months coming their stews are off the chain. Did I mention the Kalbi sliders? AWESOME! They’ve also made great improvements to service. Check this place out!

Good place to go to with friends and relax! Food is good, especially the pa dak, and beers by the pitcher are decently priced. Awesome service. The waitstaff is helpful and friendly. Welcoming atmosphere, a nice place to talk with friends and grab a drink Recommend the chicken with scallions, the seafood fried rice, and the tofu with pork. Yummy!

Small/mid-size Korean restaurant/bar which replaced Dora Dora. Dora Dora wasn’t great and Oak Tong is just meh. I know they’ve been around for a while because I walk my dog around to and from Starbucks(Whiteman Sq) during warmer days. I’ve also been here once about 4 months ago with a buddy just to grab a quick beer. The second time, yesterday(Tuesday), we arrived at around 8pm to kill an hour shortly after dinner. We took the last booth in main dining area. There’s a tiny bar to your left when you enter, with a number of additional seating in front of the bar. The place is very dim, which was what I was in the mood for. There’s a lot of anju/finger-food to accompany your drinks. They have a decent selection of draft beer(I ordered a draft Asahi pint) and they seem to have good happy hour deals as per other reviews and their happy hour deal special menu. They had a LONG list of food but we just got the corn cheese since we already had dinner shortly before coming here. The first bite of the corn cheese was delicious. Second bite was good. Third bite, and I felt sick — it was just either too creamy, too cheesy, or a mixture of both. We barely had 1⁄7th of the whole corn cheese and left after downing our draft beers. It’s somewhat like an island so there’s no separate parking nearby — opt for street metered parking, as ever since Club Metro was added to the center across the street(where Cosmos shopping center is) has made it difficult to get parking closer to New York Wing Factory(or Oak Tong). There’s a button on your table — use it. They won’t be coming by to check up on you. The service button is very commonplace in Korean restaurants/bars. Please don’t press it once — it’s not a darn door bell and it’ll give everyone inside seizures with its annoying chiming noise. The bathrooms were fine — not the cleanest and was friggin cold because it was right next to the entrance. The owner/manager was concerned that we barely touched our corn cheese and didn’t want to take it home, and asked what was wrong with it, to which I responded, truthfully, that it was a bit nauseating.

I was very impressed. This area has an insane number of bar/lounge-like establishments, but this one shines. Food: the chicken with scallion totally hits the spot. Koreans take their scallion very seriously, and this place certainly knows how to do it — even my Korean friend was impressed! Beers are better by the pitcher and soju prices aren’t terrible. Service: quite responsive! Just press the button. Décor: it’s dark and other(much younger) patrons can get loud. Music was amazing! Parking in the area does not appear easy at all. Street parking is recommended — good luck!

Reasonable prices for bottles of soju, flavored soju, beers by the pitcher or glass, combined with Korean food and tons of TV’s for game nights = another chill go-to spot in Fort Lee area to add to my list. Not sure how many people know about this place but I think it’s a little hidden gem. Good for groups or for an intimate night out. Décor is simple with dark woods and the lighting is dim. Bottles of Soju are about 12 $ on average. Flavored soju cost a little bit more and flavors include: lemon, lychee, pear/aloe, and peach. If you’re in the mood to get soju-wasted, I recommend getting bottles of Chamisul and chasing it with lychee soju, while sipping on beer in between. LOL MmmmHmmmm! Friend was craving chicken so we ordered the scallion chicken dish — deep fried chicken tenders topped with dressing and julienne scallions. It’s a large dish which justifies the cost, but something I probably wouldn’t order again. Also ordered a side of fries. They serve the seasoned style which I heart more than regular shoestring fries. I’ll definitely be back here on another game night to get soju-wasted and to try more Korean dishes like the stir fry squid with veggies and noodles(one of my faves).

I frequent Oak Tong when I feel like grabbing some food and drink. What an upgrade from the previous owners. The bathrooms(1 upstairs and 1 by the entrance) actually looks like a bathroom and not some nasty a$$ bathroom you’ll find in NYC clubs. New furnishings, 5 – 6 new TVs, new menu items and LOVE the slush soju. There’s a ‘new’ way to make the unopened soju bottles into slush – how awesome is that! Downstairs does get a little loud at prime time so I usually enjoy myself upstairs. I don’t have to scream to talk with my friend. Service is very attentive on both floors. Forgot to mention, Coors Lights(1 pint) are $ 1 during happy hour 4−7pm M-F. How awesome is that! Food is good. Some staple Korean ‘bar’ food, some fusion(I haven’t tried), and few fried dishes. I do have to admit though, some of the items on the menu are quite expensive. For example $ 15 for large egg roll??? I can buy about 5 dozens for that amount. What are you waiting for??? Drink, Drink!!!

Decided to check out this place for the first time tonight because a friend posted a status on Facebook About them giving free beer. Free beer? Of course I’ll check it out! When I got to the bar, they weren’t just giving free domestic beer, they were giving both bottles and drafts of off the hook craft beer! From the information I received, it was because of their grand opening. All and all this was a cute establishment. They had out door seating, indoor seating, and a nice bar area. The bartender was highly attentive and nice. They also have a nice upstairs lounge area as well. Near the end of the night I asked the bartender if I could look at the cocktail list and food menu. The food menu in my opinion was a little on the pricey side, but their cocktail menu was pretty nice. They offer a pretty decent variety of craft beer and a huge full stocked bar. I personally can see myself going back there for some more drinks. The only down side was the air conditioner that they had was overbearing and i literally felt frozen inside here, it faces directly towards the bar area blowing down on you which is a tad bit annoying when your sitting down trying to enjoy a cocktail. However, there were ways to avoid it and of this is my only true complaint about this place I consider it a win.

Came here tonight and proved I was right, which is Dora Dora has gone and it has been changed to Oak Tong. The menu is very similar to Dora Dora’s and the interior is almost the same as before just put more TVs(They have 6 TVs in the main dining room, playing sports and Korean pop music videos…) so I suspected it is owned by the same owner, but I might be wrong. It’s Korean dive bar serving the soju, beer and all different kinds of Korean bar foods, the beer selection is not as good as the New York Wing factory across the street, but they still have some good stuffs. The food is great and the portion is huge. I love spicy chicken with mozzarella cheese on top of it, it’s really really good, the marinated spicy chicken served on the hot iron plate with melt cheese on it, you won’t want to stop after the 1st bite, you won’t. But it’s really spicy and I didn’t know if they can adjust the spicy level per request, you might want to check with waiter before you order this dish. The downside: The food is a bit pricy, average price of per dish is around $ 15-$ 20, and beer is around $ 5-$ 8 per draft; $ 22-$ 25 per pitcher.
