Delivery was quick and free through their online ordering portal. Wish I could give them 4 stars but the food just isn’t that great. I ordered a beef w broc lunch special with egg drop– the egg drop is good, I’ve definitely had worse. The beef w broc is totally bland– as is the roast pork fried rice it came with. No flavor to this but soy sauce. I work nearby so will probably still order from this place when the mood strikes, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything other than convenience and price.

Ordered Take Out yesterday and Delivery today. One of the best Chinese I’ve had in some time… The food doesn’t taste greasy as most American Chinese, I ordered from a place down the block the other day and it wasn’t the best. This however, all of my family member agreed was pretty darn good. We ordered Vegetable Rolls, Vegetable Dumplings, Vegetable Lo-Mein, Short Tip Ribs, Wonton Soup and Hot & Sour soup. Everything was fresh tasting and had a great flavor to it. The customer service wasn’t bad either, not trying to rush you off the phone or answer rudely. Another time I had ordered, it was the Orange Chicken and it was flavorful and great. Again the chicken was fresh tasting, crispy and tangy because of the Orange and sweet. Good take-out is all a man can ask for.

Ordered lunch from this place for over a year. Never complained even when I received the wrong order or when the food was burnt or had a rotten taste to it. It was really convenient to order online from them and their delivery was always on time. Today I was told they are not processing my order because it was under $ 10. I pointed out to them that their website clearly states no minimum and that they always delivered in the past no matter the amount. The person just laughed at me and stated that they will not deliver such a small order. I never received a confirmation that my card was not charged. Never again.

This is our go-to Chinese option in fort lee. We always do delivery and, while slow, food almost always arrives piping hot. We have our usual dishes, like the nutritious basket and happy family, which are consistently tasty. The veggie dumplings are wrapped in a much thicker wonton wrapper than the pork dumplings. The spare ribs are always good, and we like the brown rice option. The hot and sour soup is nice and spicy! Overall, a fairly consistent, easy place to order from. There’s even a discount code if you order online.

The food is really good but the delivery guy was a major jerk. He blew up my phone asking where I was and wanted me to come outside and get the food. He was parading around the hallways outside of my work place after being told the company name several times. He then gave my friend a hard time when he went out to get the food. I either won’t order from there or again, or will save myself the hassle and will get it myself.

This place is a joke. placed an order online as usual, waited an hour and a half and called them to let them know I’d like to cancel my order because it’s taking too long only to hear they haven’t received my order? Um. but I received a confirmation email and everything. no apologies just oops oh well. You guys just lost a loyal customer man.

I order from them online from time to time. Their food is mediocre. There was a misunderstanding about my order and I called them before driving to the store with my receipt, and as soon as I walked in, the guy(who I talked to on the phone) immediately said that it wasn’t his fault and that the order was final… and kept adamantly saying it, even though I didn’t really care, and to me it wasn’t a big deal. He dismissed me so quickly I walked out. It was a bit odd – not terrible – but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Like I said, their food is okay. So I can definitely look elsewhere.

I love the food from here! I started going to them when my local place closed down. The put eggs in their fried rice and always delivery quickly. This weekend I had them catare my son’s birthday party because he loves Chinese food and loves Joyce’s food. I placed the order to be delivered at 4:30 and they did just that! The food was great! Fresh and still very hot! I would definitely order from them again. Highly recommend them.

There have been times when portions were small when you order combinations or lunch specials. There have been times when the soup tasted burnt or the chow mein was burnt. But sine they were most of the time polite and courteous we kept ordering. Out of the three years there have been two incidents where the food arrive extremely late. One time they promised a discount on future order when the guy on the phone laughed at me over the phone when I tried to claim the discount. Today placed an order online. Got an email confirmation and all. Waited an hour for the food. Called and the guy said it’s on the way. Then waited 10 minutes and called. Where they spoke in Chinese and told me they didn’t process the order. They said they didn’t get the order. Personally I think they dropped the ball and forgot the order. Either way time to find a new Chinese place to order from.

With all the Chinese restaurants in the area, Joyce has been our favorite since we discovered this little gem! Quick take-out and delivery.

This chinese restaurant continues to expand to be the best chinese food spot in bergen county. Owners are great people, willing to exceed your needs as customers. Delivery service is great, drivers aren’t rude. Can’t ask for a better restaurant to eat chinese food in the fort lee, Leonia, Edgewater, and ridgefield area. If you are looking for something a little more fancy, they opened up another restaurant in river edge under the same name with the same owners.

I order from here about once a month because my elderly great-grandmother REALLY loves Chinese food, or else I never would. While the food is alright, nothing spectacular by any means, but not horrible, it’s the delivery time that kills me. The most recent time, it took over an hour and ten minutes for the food to get to our house on a Sunday night and we live in the same town(Fort Lee) which is no more than like two miles from end to end.

The food was good. Ordered pepper steak and fried rice. Stuck with Chinese food, instead of ordering the white rice with chicken.

SO I ordered several items online at 6:39PM with a few hungry guests. The delivery guy shows up at 8:10 with cold food and says he could not find the place. This was oredered with extreme detail for delivery and multiple calls to the place with even more detail. If these folks want to do business in this area maybe a delivery person with GPS will solve the stupidity. They offered nothing which is poor budiness practice/I am not looking for free food but at least take something off the bill for re heating… after all thats the point of easy food. The woman on the phone was rude and could not care less about what happened. Now I need to regroup and get my people fed. Shame on this place and their attitude toward clients. I will do my best to spread the word NOTTOORDERFOODFROMJOYCECHINESETHE get a ZERO if I could,

We order from here when at my in-laws. We’ve had several times. Last night we ordered and the oil in the fryer must not have been hot enough because everything was oily. You could wring the grease out of the scallion pancakes and the shrimp toast and egg rolls were more greasy than normal. I found the food bland this time. The beef and broccoli is consistent and the friend rice was good as well. I am excited to try their new sitdown place in river edge.

We are repeat customers of Joyce, mostly we placed delivery orders online*. We usually get the combos — with options of rice + eggroll /soda /bottled spring water. Our usual delivery guy has always been friendly — arrived at the door with a big smile. Fast delivery too. Our favorites are: General Tso or Sesame Chicken, Scallion Pancakes(crispy edges & the sweet-sour-garlicky dipping sauce is divine), Steamed Wonton with Spicy(and nutty) Sauce, Yang Chow fried rice, Singapore style rice noodles, Shrimp Lo Mein, Shrimp with Garlic Sauce(sweet & spicy), Shrimp & Cashew(savory), Beef & String Beans. Their food tasted fresh — the shrimp combos, for instance — 5 extra large shrimps, not overcooked(I had food from other Chinese place where the shrimp look and taste like cooked shrimp from the frozen aisle) and nicely seasoned. Food sometimes can be inconsistent(Gen Tso Chicken or Scallion Pancakes sometimes arrived a little soggy) but flavors are usually spot on and not overly greasy. *You get 10% by ordering online — helps with the tips.

Few times I ordered from this restaurant. Its nice to place the order on their website for delivery. Their delivery is usually fast and foods are well prepared. Generally their foods are too blend for my taste and fried wontons are too hard to chew.

I ordered from Joyce Chinese recently for the first time. Delivery was fast, which is the only thing I liked. The food was bland. My shrimp roll had two tiny pieces of shrimp in it and the chicken in my main dish was dry and not covered in enough sauce. What bothered me the most however is that the delivery guy didn’t want to give me back part of my change and wanted to keep it as a tip for himself instead. I think I should receive back all the change that I am owed and be able to decide myself how much tip to give instead of him automatically wanting to keep the tip amount he wants.

So on google maps it shows a different name for this place… We had just left the BX and were heading to central jersey and got a bit hungry. Chino’s always seems to hit the spot, so after getting some cheaper gas ;) we googled and found this place. Looking at the menu it was a bit pricier than my usual nyc chinese food. The food came out pretty quick. I noticed my fried rice had carrots in it. I hate carrots and green peas in my friend rice. Im not used to telling them not to put it so I guess its my fault? I ordered pepper steak and it was too many peppers and they were cut really big. Maybe I was just being picky? I dont know but it didnt click with me. And the wonton soup was great,…not anything fancy but just because it was so basic. Remind me to have chinese food before I leave NY next time!
