I’ve been there a few times now and the food is simply spectacular. It tastes authentic and it’s served in nice portions. Also, the service is commendable.
Alyssa is especially knowledgeable and helpful – both behind the bar and as you make your food selectios.
From my experience thus far, you can’t go wrong with any dish.

It has been four years since our last visit to Franco’s, having relocated as the result of our employment. Made a quick visit recently and found the restaurant as nice as we left it.
Still one of the nicest places to dine in Bergen.
Will reintroduce ourselves more thoroughly to the updated menu (some items still carryover).
Based on our prior experiences I expect awarding a multi-​star rating. I hesitate to rate at this time. However, if I were to do so, four or five stars would apply. Because of Unilocal’s requirements, I must rate in order to post. Therefore the rating.

My family’s been coming here for years and we never get sick of it. The food is always stupendous and the staff always has a smile on their faces. They offer homemade pastas and pizzas which is great for any time of the day. Don’t let the location (being in a strip-​mall) deceive you because this place is A+!

This is the second time I came here. The arugula roasted pepper and fresh mozzarella salad would be great if they had used balsamic vinegar instead of plain vinegar. The pasta in our soups was doughy and the flavoring was bland. My friend had tortellini soup and I had Italian wedding. We ordered the special tonight, roasted baby ribs. There is no complaints regarding portion here but the ribs are over cooked and dry. The poor vegetables on the side was drowning in garlic olive oil. The selections on the menu did not wow us. The nearby Italians are much better. For the same price I would preferred the foods at Pomodoro Pizza, Tutto Modo Mio or Biaggis.

I ordered chicken parm. The sauce wasn’t the best (it was a bit salty but not a lot of other taste to it), but I did enjoy it. The pasta that came with it was a bit disastrous with the sauce. They serve in great quantities, so beware if you’re not ready for a big meal. It was a bit expensive, but I guess it’s just the cost of franchise-​food-​sort-​of-​taste. Wouldnt recommend it to someone who’s looking for really good classic italian food.

I love this restaurant. The chicken, fish, steak, vegetables, everything I’ve had is very good. Their service is relaxed yet attentive. This is a relatively small place, but it also has some booths. Prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

Love this place! Found it googling homemade pasta nearby. Gave it a shot. Their salads are good. their asian calamari is delicious. The homemade pastas are all good– the vodka sauce is good, the pasta with crumbled sausage was excellent. All in all, everything we’ve had there has been great. We introduced some of our friends and family that live nearby to it and now it’s their go-​to place.

Had turkey meatballs at Franco’s today, they were outstanding and moist!!! Should be a regular on the menu!!! Come and order while they’re still here!!!

Antoinette, Melissa and Gene are always there with a smile. Leo has been our waiter for years and knows exactly what you like.
Great for family events as well –food is always good and well priced. My daughter loves Chicken Luis.

I discovered yet another item that blew me away. Please try the primavera veggie pizza with grilled chicken. *heavy breathing*
It was loaded with tender broccoli, asparagus, string beans & carrots that had just enough crunch, and I loved how the chicken wasn’t overcooked & dry! Bursting with garlic & oozing with cheese… It is basically flavortown. I was hesitant to try it when my brother requested this combo, but I should’ve known that Franco’s would deliver in flavor.
The employees here are def the cherry on top. Always on point and never disappoints. Thank you, Franco’s!

My family and I have been coming here for years but I never got around to writing a review. I’ve never had a single complaint about this place. The place is always spotless. The waiters are always on point and never over bearing. The food is delicious. I HIGHLY recommend their salmon and rack of lamb. It’s not overpriced at all. Really enjoy & recommend this place. Keep up the good work guys.

I certainly have no ill feelings towards Francos, but I also don’t think it’s worth the hype. My one friend has been coming here for decades and absolutely loves the place. We came as a large group one night for another friend’s birthday and it was my first time here.
I ordered the mozzarella for an appetizer and found them to be enjoyable. I like that they’re triangle shaped. :)
As for the main course, the chicken parmesan, it was very good but it wasn’t anything exceptional.
I was slightly miffed as I ordered a soda and have to ask 2 more times (to a different person) before I got it.
Franco’s isn’t bad, it’s just not special to me either.

This place is a hidden gem within a strip mall! The food was absolutely delicious. We had the chicken Marsala (prob one of the best Marsalas I’ve ever had) and the chicken piccata. Large portions and everything was so flavorful. The key like pie was also amazing with the perfect graham cracker crust. Will definitely be going back here.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday and boy am I glad that I made a reservation.
The service was really really on point. Our server did all he could to help ensure that we had enough room on our table for the food. I personally loved the garlic basil and tomato pizza; it was doughy and had great garlic. The salmon with broccoli rabe was cooked perfectly and fresh. The shrimp with angel hair needed better sauce but the shrimp was delicious. I really enjoyed the house made papardelle pasta but the pork it came with was on the drier side.
definitely will plan to come again but stick with their pizza and seafood for sure.

Enjoyable meal once again. I had from the menu, salmon with crab meat… Yes real crab meat, not mysterious sea legs. Ha
Fish was cooked medium and very moist.
Passed on the starch for double helping of mixed veggies. The carrots and 1 broccoli floret was tasty, not the string beans which tasted canned.
My wife loves her special choice of chicken and shrimp Francesca with artichoke hearts on pasta.
Ran out of room due to the great garlic nuggets. So took a slice of super moist carrot cake home.

Big shout out to Franco’s Metro Restaurant without which the Leonia/​Fort Lee area would be an Italian cuisine desert. My wife and I have not had a bad meal at Franco’s, and my parents from South Jersey can’t wait to eat at Franco’s when they come to visit. Some of the highlights include:
— Awesome garlic knots! You can’t eat just one!
— Quite possibly the best linguine with red clam sauce that I’ve ever had bar none
— Tomato, basil, and garlic pizza rocks!
— Blackened salmon is amazing and it makes you forget you are eating salmon
— Good selection of craft beers, some on tap
— Great takeout service including anything on the regular menu
The owners/​staff are very accommodating and friendly, in particular Eugene who has helped us in arranging parties and catering in the past. The dining atmosphere is also very relaxed and inviting.

Went at 7:00 PM on a Saturday night without a reservation so we were expecting some kind of wait however, the bartenders and waitstaff were so friendly and accommodating that the time flew by and we were at our table in no time.
During our conversation with the bartenders we had mentioned that it was our first time thus, when we were seated the manager greeted us with a complimentary plate of bruschetta! This was on top of the fresh garlic knots and bread, so it was a very kind gesture.
Had the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer, which were great, but you can’t ever really go wrong here. For entrees, I had whole wheat linguini bolognese. Whole wheat pasta sometimes can taste like cardboard and have a more coarse texture but, I couldn’t tell I wasn’t eating regular past, very tasty. My boyfriend (gluten-​free) had the grilled chicken parmesan with gluten-​free pasta and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great atmosphere, a fun, nice, and attentive staff on top of delicious food makes it really hard to go wrong here!

Nice, neighborhood place. Food is really good. Not a typical chicken parm/​francese/​picatta type of place… really well thought out, good dishes.
I wasnt too hungry tonight so I ordered a tortellini escarole soup and grandma’s flatbread pizza off the appetizer menu. Everything was really delicious, as usual.
Wait was 25 minutes and service was a little off but still friendly bc it was super busy. If you come on a weekend night know that this is a popular place and it may get packed. For the most part great food and decent service, totally worth the wait!

Hapoy hour Thursday 3 to 6. $ 3 drafts. And complimentary sausages and pepper sandwiches. the management made some adjustments to the free food for me due to my diet, and brought out bruscetta for me! it was good. very fresh.
Alyssa is a great bar tender also !
The cappuccino is very tasty! id like to come back and try the 4 cheese pizza. The place itself is very clean, cute and cozy.
