Great food. The lettuce wraps were great. The spicy tuna Calif was excellent as was the Beef L’orange. We had a great food bottle of Norton 2008 Malbec. Our server, Nigel was great.

Went for a friends 30th birthday. They accommodated a party of 15 plus perfectly in the back room. The service was very attentive. I just had a fried rice but requested no shrimp. When it arrived at the table there was shrimp but they quickly made it over again but gave me edamame to keep from starving. Very nice of the server. With a Unilocal check in, it gave me and a couple girls half off bottle wine! What a deal! The service was quick, the food was yummy and the environment was pleasant.

The food is good, the service is a little bit slow, but the ambiance is great! We go here about once a week, bring our dog, and sit outside. It is very nice and the $ 7 tapas are a great deal. I asked about the sushi a few months ago and my server said«we aren’t known for our sushi» so I never ordered it until last night. The fish was very fresh and they were large pieces. Not sure why my previous waiter talked me out of it?! I have also had the curry noodles, fried rice, chicken skewers, scallion pancakes(my favorite), pad thai and all were great. They do half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays! Overall, the $ 7 tapas menu is the way to go :)

I love their $ 6 small plate menu, there’s tons of stuff on there for us veggies! My favorites are the tempura French beans and deep fried Tofu. Also good: edemame, veggie samosas(pretty sure the sauce isn’t vegan though), and last time I had the brown rice to absorb some fluids in preparation for Scavenger hunting ;)

Our party of four found the following dinners were delicious: «From the field» eggplant dinner with white or brown rice. Eggplant chunks with red peppers, tomato, and bamboo shoots in a sweet chili sauce … excellent! The scallion pancakes from the small plates menu were really good too, as were those tempura green beans– the whole table loved these. Beware the firecracker noodles: tasty but the spice was definitely fiery. And thank you Unilocal for we enjoyed taking advantage of the special check-in offer: fifty percent off offer on our bottle of wine with Charmie P.‘s check-in. Sweet.

Awesome place! They have a regular menu and a small plates menu which is perfect to share and taste many things since it consists of many of the items from the regular menu but in a smaller serving, including a sushi selection. I have sat both inside and out, the outdoor seating is waterfront next to a small canal, the inside is modern and has a great ambiance. Wonderful food and friendly service, great place to satisfy most asian cravings.

This place has brought me and my best friend so much closer in the past two weeks. Being that she lives literally two minutes away from here and were addicted to their rolls, We’ve eaten here 4 times last week. Their vegetable lo mein is killer! our second visit we switched it up to shrimp lo mein unfortunately our server didn’t mention it had sausage in it so I left that to my bf to devour. The tempura salmon roll is the best roll I’ve ever tried in my life mmmmmm and the volcano roll is a close second. Each time we’ve come they weren’t busy so we got our food in a timely manner. This is the best QUALITY sushi I have tried yet. Loves it!

The food was good but too expensive for what it was. The ambiance was otherwise great. But we had a REALPROBLEM: Service was borderline dishonest. The 25% discount(every Mondays) was NOT applied on the check. When I pointed that out the answer was: «Yes, we wanted you to check the items before I asked the boss…» NOTGOOD.

Soooooooo this place did very little for me First, we walked by and notice tables outside by the water, when we walked in the hostess said those tables ‘weren’t available’ and were on wait for 35 mins. I promptly stated«there’s are like 4 empty tables there and nobody waiting?» imagine with Clueless accent. After finding someone to clean the table off, we were able to sit outside, on the water, like we wanted too. Minus a star for poor hostess. Service was S-L-O-W(like Comcast slow), our server was very nice but didn’t know very much. I also«checked in» on Unilocal and they would not honor the 50% off for a bottle of Sake just Wine(star number 2 donezo). Apparently, rice wine is not wine… note to self! Restaurants WHY do you have specials that you don’t honor??? And why are you so stupid to not realize you have an active UnilocalER on your hands at this point? This should be a BIGREDFLAG to give this table extra attention. Extra attention, my friends is NOT what we got. We barely got any attention. insert sad face After putting in our orders and drinking our sake we waited quite a bit to get our food. When it finally arrived we were ready for bottle #2 of sake but could not find our waitress. And guess what else? Our food came, but we had no eating utensils, so we literally drooled over it it for a solid 5 mins, to the point that I was worried it would actually get cold. Sans sitting and waiting for utensils and sake when you are very hungry. Minus another star. Additionally, only ‘some’ of our food came out b/c the kitchen was ‘baked up’. After asking twice for silverware we finally got some forks(and side plates – Kitchen wasn’t the only thing backed up here). And finally started to eat. The food, again was just OK, and def not worth the wait NOR the hassle of trying to get it. After we evaluating my experience here I have knocked from my original 2 star rating to a one star waiting. I would skip this place altogether. THEREARESOMANY awesome RESTAURANTSONLASOLASWITHGOODSERVICE… why eat here?

What a joke this place is. I honestly cannot believe it has been able to achieve a 4 star rating on Unilocal. When I saw the Zagat sticker on the front door I thought«Hey, here we go. Something I cant trust.» Only to be dissapointed to the point of tears.(shows you how much Zagat knows.) I walk into this place with my party of 9 because it looked beautiful from the outside and I figured«hey, if this place has a giant buddah in front and its basically in the center of Ft. Laudedale how can I go wrong? Well… I did. Took a half hour to get a drink order in. Drinks took another half hour to come out. We finally get our beverages and order appetizers along with main courses because we were all so darn hungry. Another half hour goes by. Empty glasses and bottles pile up on our table becasue we were neglected for so long. Now, I am at the point of angry because I have not been fed. I mention something politely to our waitress and what do you know… 10 minutes later, our MAINCOURSE arrives. Appetitzers completely forgotten for our entire table. We then proceed to get an enormous amount of tableware and glassware accumulation so much so it looks like our table is the warewash station of the restaurant. After a little righteous attitude towards the server we finally got some stuff cleared off. Now… here is the funny part. We are in the middle of eating our main courses which were«EHH» and we get bombarded with all of our appetizers.(which we did not have room for on our table or in our stomachs) We took them anyway but basically had enough at this point. The manager was MIA and I honestly believe some millionaire opened a restaurant because he could, put some bimbo in charge and took off for parts unknown. So while he/she is partying it up in Ibiza their restaurant is going to hell in a handbasket. PS– I ended up getting sick that night as well.

Fresh, clean, and flavorful food! I ordered off the $ 7 tapas menu and got the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Lime Noodle Salad(something along those lines). The Chicken Lettuce Wraps were really flavorful and filled me up without making me feel disgusting at 11pm on Friday night. The Lime Noodle Salad was very light. It could have had more lime flavor and a small dash of salt but overall it was still good. My friend ordered the Salt and Pepper Tofu and Sesame Noodle Salad. The Salt and Pepper Tofu was crispy but it could have used a little more salt. The Sesame Noodle Salad was very delicious! The peanut and soy sauce blended dressing was perfectly balanced. So glad we tried this place out.

Delicious! Great evening with friends plus their Monday % discount, perfect! We ordered so many appetizers off their $ 6 asian tapas menu and all of them were really good. Everything basically comes in 3’s so it was perfect for the 3 of us to try everything. The curry samosas were a big hit, we ordered this one twice! Comes with 3 samosas and the inside filing and outside sauce was a perfect combo. We also tried their chicken gyoza which is like a dumpling, and that tasted really good and fresh as well. Bistro Rice was good and we also ordered the Malaysian chicken which had a lot of flavor. Overall a really good Asian fusion restaurant with so many items to choose from and everything was very flavorful and spiced just right! We had the opportunity to sit outside on the patio next to the water. It was quite dark out there, and hard to see our menus, but it was a nice evening out. You can also hear movement in the water occasionally which is a little frightening since it was too dark to see what it could be — flying fish? Definitely will come back if I visit Ft. Lauderdale again!

I basically gave it a 4th star mainly because of our server Joel who was excellent! We accidentally walked into a restaurant across the way with a similar name and when I showed the server my groupon he graciously pointed out our mistake and showed us where the place was. For a Wednesday afternoon, during season, on a cool not beach day, all of Las Olas was pretty quiet so we weren’t surprised that the Wild East Asian Bistro had people at only 2 tables. Joel greeted us at the door and basically gave us the opportunity to pick what table we wanted and it was a pleasure to sit at a 4 top with plenty of room. I had coffee($ 2) and Allen had water. We asked Joel for some suggestions and he pointed out the more popular items. There is a separate menu with pictures of Asian Tapas, each $ 6, and Allen ordered the crab wonton with 3 wantons. I had one and found it too well fried making the outside very hard, not crispy. For our main courses Allen ordered the Cashew Shrimp with brown rice($ 14) which he really enjoyed while I ordered the Deep Blue Sea($ 18) which consisted of shrimp, calamari, mussels, sea bass, scallops, zucchini, peppers, scallions in a spicy bean soy and a side of brown rice. The seafood was fine but the sauce though not spicy was very salty. Though there is a ‘bamboo divider’ between the dining room and kitchen you can see all the cooking being done. Though it was not busy what could have been the manager or owner spent his spare time talking to the cook instead of interacting with the 6 customers he had. Our check came to $ 42.40 before the $ 30 groupon deduction which I paid $ 15 for so including tax and our tip($ 8+) our total for the 2 luncheons was $ 25.40 which is about average on Las Olas but without the groupon it would be too high. Thanks to Joel for being an excellent server because that always adds to the meal. By the way be careful with the square cup and saucer because if you don’t watch while you are putting the coffee cup down it could land all over the table – no, I was careful!

Decided to try a new location in the area and am very pleased! We started with garlic bok choi which was cooked just enough so it wasn’t soggy or over powered with garlic. The Siam Sea Bass was AMAZING! The sea bass melted in your mouth and the curry was a wonderful and not over powering accompaniment. The serving size was perfect and the food was served right out of the kitchen. It was so good I almost ordered a second plate just to take home! The wait between courses was a little long but when sitting by the river on a nice cool night, you can’t get too upset. I am looking forward to trying more dishes — this is definitely a great find.

Went here with my boyfriend tonight based on Unilocal reviews. It’s kind of a trek for us as we live way out west and while the food was very good, it was not good enough to drive so far for again — not at these prices! I had the Orange Beef and he had the Mongolian beef. Both dishes had nice flavour, were hot and well cooked. The portion size was more than adequate. We also ordered the pork dumplings as an appetizer and while they yummy, we wished there were more than three for $ 6(the standard 5 would have been nice). Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was fairly nice. The bathroom was surprisingly nasty. I held it in instead of using the toilet. For such a nice place, the restrooms were just not up to standard. So, good food(but not worth a half hour drive… maybe if you live 5 – 10 minutes away), nice wait staff, nice ambiance, nasty bathrooms.

Love this place! The food is well made, the portions are just right, and the desserts are awesome. No matter what your dietary restrictions are, they have food that will accomidate your diet. The view is really nice as well. I’m a local and I give this place 2 thumbs up!

My partner and I are new fans to this Asian Fusion bistro. We have been vacationing in the Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area for many years now(timeshare owners) in mid-December. We have usually gone to another Asian fusion restaurant in Wilton Manors, but lately, have had bad experiences there and the Unilocal reviewers verified that this other restaurant(whose name starts with a «G») is not getting better. Since we do Seafood, Meat, Italian, etc. we needed another option for Asian night. We didn’t want a Sushi place, we do enough of them at home, so we checked out the reviews here and decided to give it a try. We are glad we switched and enjoyed the $ 6 menu items and the regular menu items equally. We both had started with soup, then a couple of appetizers, followed by entrees and fried rice from the $ 6 menu. Delicious! The food was excellent, and our server, Adam, was as nice(and sexy) as gorgeous as the restaurant décor. We will be back for sure. Too bad we only vacation in FLL in December; I don’t like that I have to wait a year to revisit this gem.

What a lovely setting for a restaurant, or I should say«bistro,» with an outdoor patio locate right on one of Lauderdale’s canals. The décor is a bright, clean modern Asian that’s easy on the eye and of course blends with the menu offerings. They have several menus from which to choose. There is a $ 6 menu, a lunch menu and one with appetizers, makimono(rolls), «main event» and«sweet ending» along with various drinks and nightly promotions. You can really find some good deals, great bang for your buck offerings. There food is an «Asian Fusion,» served simply but superbly presented, nicely prepared and robust with a variation of flavors. Basically you can go wrong on anything you order though I’ve been particularly fond of the duck, a Beijing half with scallion, cucumber, steamed pancake and hoisin sauce or the Dynasty duck which is served skin crispy with a flavorful rub. The service is polite, professional, well mannered and accommodating, particularly for me since I generally decline to use chop sticks and prefer placing my meals on a plate rather than eating any part if it from a bowl. All in all, a very nice rather classy enjoyable little place.

This place is brilliant. I absolutely love the $ 6 menu. I get bored of a whole plate of something, so being able to eat small portions of things that taste entirely different is like Heaven to me! I have been here over a dozen times. I have never had a bad server, or a bad meal. They continue to please me, but are not overly friendly by any means. Pleasant, but total order takers. Never have to ask for anything, they are very prompt with refills, pre bussing, etc. I have dined both inside and outside. I absolutely love the décor of the place, simple, yet trendy. Every single time I go there, ti’s a ghost town though. Maybe I am too early… but I hope they are successful and continue to stay open! Currently if you check in on Unilocal you get 50% off a bottle of wine! WHAT??? Awesome! :)

Very hip, trendy, and delicious. They have a great variety offered on the menu and can appeal to almost anyone’s taste! They now serve sushi too! The appetizers, or as they call it, «Good Beginning» are mainly tapas style, which I love! Try a bunch of them for only $ 6! Some of my faves are the curry vegetable samosas, crispy calamari, pan seared pork dumplings, chicken gyozas, and the Shanghai Scallion Pancakes! But while you order the apps, remember to get a Saketini! They have a beer and wine license so they mix up different flavored sakes in martini glasses! They’re awesome! They serve up the sex on the beach, dirtyyyy(the way I like it), Mango, Ginger, Guava, Lychee, and a ton of other flavors! I can only drink a couple every time I go because I’m such a lightweight… Their main entrees didn’t disappoint as well! They have the entrees categorized by land, sea, and the field(vegetarian, if you didn’t guess). All entrees are accompanied by your choice of white or brown rice. My favorite is their sea bass which is served either lightly fried with a light crispy batter with a sweet tangy sauce with onions on top, steamed which is in a sweet ginger soy sauce, or in the black bean sauce. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for. I’d order all three if I had the room to fit in my belly. I also recommend the Walnut Chicken or Shrimp. Served in a garlic brown sauce topped with candied walnuts and snow peas. YUM!!! Don’t forget their«sweet ending» They have fried banana spring rolls and Thai Donuts! I didn’t have that much room left for dessert but the bites that I did sneak into my belly were DEEE-LISH! I recommend Wild East Asian Bistro as a great date place before taking a stroll down Las Olas Blvd.
