Walked over from our hotel and had a very nice dinner. They are open for dinner only on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Closed other days. Nice relaxing outdoor space. Generous savings of wine by the glass. Very reasonable food prices. The sliders were cooked perfectly and very tasty. My daughter gave the flatbread a thumbs up. Wife was not very hungry so she enjoyed the caprese appetizer. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go again on a nice evening. Great place to bring a date.

Absolutely AMAZING food here. Super quaint and quiet. Service was fantastic, thanks to our waiter Duncan. The kitchen crew really blew our minds. We had the flank steak flatbread pizza, cocunut shrimp and shrimp bruchetta. It was too much food for my girlfriend and I, so be aware that the flatbread is beastly for only two people. The cocunut shrimp was RIDICULOUSLYDELICIOUS. Overall, a phenomenal place to dine if you’re in the area. MUSTTRY.

Very nice place for a date. Great atmosphere(weather permitting — my Floridians know what I’m talking about), live music, cool location waking distance from the beach, friendly service. A lot of good things to say about this place. The negative however, is that the food is simply overpriced for what it is.

We came here at 8:30 on Monday 3⁄30 and it was closed. We were directed to the Village Café 2 blocks south. We are waiting on our sandwiches now. Service is nice, and there is an outdoor seating area … But we were disappointed to not have the expected experience.

I actually never had a chance to estate this restaurant. I am from out of town and found this restaurant on Unilocal.Much to my surprise after booking a reservation on open table through Unilocal this restaurant wasn’t open on Thursday nights. We walked all the way from our hotel at the W and come to find out no restaurant tonight. This is ridiculous, you guys need to update your Unilocal.I will never attempt to come here again.

Such a great concept but they need to improve their food game. This is a permanent food truck with a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. All al fresco. We went with a large party and all felt the food was lacking a gourmet feel. Very sub par. Some comments from the group were that most of the meat and fish was dry, things were either lacking flavor or over salted, and that their meals reminded them of hospital or airplane food. Not good. The service was great and the spot has the potential to be quite lovely. Hope they sort it out.

It was the evening of July 4th and we planned to eat before the 9pm fireworks. I was with a group of 6 and had made reservations. we were surprised by the fact that the«restaurant» was in a parking lot. No walls no ceiling. a Fire dancer and a mime greeted us basically to distract us from the lack of walls, ceilings and the terrible service. We ordered simple fare hamburgers and a flatbread(which was prepared in a food truck) it took them an hour an 15 mins to serve us our food. It was served sporadically. Some had salad no entrée one got some the entrée and no salad. Basically it was a complete nightmare don’t go. You will be disappointed. Ps we missed the fireworks

The food was good and the atmosphere charming. I would go back but I can’t recommend bringing a group of more than about 6. Attended a get together with about 20 of us total and they were a little overwhelmed. This just wasn’t a restaurant for a large group but I give them credit for doing all they could to accommodate us. I look forward to trying it another time and even giving it another review. Loved the hanging lights outside, the piano player was fun, flat breads struck me as the best of the food, and thought the prices were very reasonable(and I’m cheap-um thrifty, I mean thrifty!).

What a great surprise! The setting is very romantic. The pretty plants have little white lights which is a great backdrop. The service was wonderful, very attentive. We started with the guacamole and chicken skewers. Both were delisous! For dinner we both went for the skirt steak, it did not disappoint. Both were prepared perfect and the cilantro lime rice is a great compliment to the steak. Give this wonderful bistro a try. Don’t be fooled by it being in a parking lot.

The atmosphere is a solid 5. It has a trendy vibe, good music and friendly staff. You want to LOVE this place walking up. Unfortunately they start losing stars in the details of the food. We started with the calamari. It was hot and fresh but although I didn’t really agree hubby said they were a little over cooked. The banana peppers were a fantastic addition and so good I would almost order them on their own. They came with two sauces — an aioli and marinara. Where this dish goes wrong is that the marinara was cold. Who wants cold marinara on hot calamari? It seems like a small detail but it really made a large negative difference on the dish. Next was the summer salad and pepperoni flatbread. Summer salad was a 5 — fantastic — highlight of the evening. The flatbread wasn’t really a flatbread, but more of a personal pie. It was just pizza. Hubby enjoyed it and was happily noshing on it cold this morning as well. Lastly, was the mushroom risotto and the chicken parm. The mushroom Risotto was barely edible to me, you have to really LOVE butter to like this dish, it was too butter sickening to me. I mixed in some of hubby’s marinara(hot this time) and it helped. His chicken parm was perfectly fine, but nothing I’d write home about. So overall this place is A-Ok but not something I’d crave. I REALLY wanted to, but it just didn’t happen for me.

I decided to have my Birthday celebration here. I am so glad I chose PB. The ambience was beautiful, the service was great and the food was good. The location is definitely a plus. Although about 2 blocks in from the Ocean, you could still feel that amazing ocean air on your face as you dined. The manager Juan was wonderful from the moment I made the reservation for 18, to the time we left. The GM Orlando came over and wished me Happy Birthday and made sure we were all taken care of. The waiters were great and very friendly. There was also a music artist there that played some kind of electric, transparent piano that was pretty darn awesome! The whole experience was extremely memorable and I would recommended this place to every one I know :-) …did I mention that I got Moscato on the house all night since it was my Birthday and they gave me a complimentary Birthday chocolate mouse topped with whipped cream! The only thing that I think was a negative was having to walk to the corner to use the restroom which is in a separate building. All in all my experience was great! And I am looking forward to having dinner there again.

First of all, the menu link on Unilocal for this restaurant is an old one. They no longer offer Bruschetta, Penne Pasta, Pitta Chips/Hummus etc mentioned in the old menu. This is the correct menu: We had looked at a few pictures online, and really wanted to have the Penne Pasta in Tomato Pesto… yup, not there anymore. So make sure you look at the correct menu(from their website), prior to deciding to eat here or not. The restaurant is not ocean facing. Its a block or two away from the ocean. We went here for dinner. It was nicely lit up, with a person playing live music. Its an outdoor seating, so we were excited to try the food. Since the menu we looked at on Unilocal wasnt the right one, here is what we ended up ordering: — Fried Green Tomatoes: Terrible… this was so bad. The tomatoes were not fresh, and had no flavor. I had one, and left the rest. — Margherita Flatbred: This is good for 2 people easily. Its a medium(maybe large) size pizza. This was delicious. The pizza was fresh and crispy. Overall, the food(other than the flatbread) was decent. I wish they had more veggie options. You could try it out at night if you want to enjoy an outdoor place with live music.

Unexpected, and fantastic. We went here the first night of our trip to Fort Lauderdale. I sat in the hotel looking up places on Unilocal, saw the good reviews and figured we’d try it out. I was a little concerned after making an 8PM reservation on OpenTable at 7:30PM on a Friday night. Being new to the area, we didn’t have any idea what to expect. As we were walking from our hotel and came upon the Plaza Bistro, we were thinking, is that it?! Wow. This place is completely outdoors, save for the food truck in the middle where all of the food is prepared. You are literally sitting in a parking lot, but that has to be the nicest parking lot I’ve ever been to. At first, you would have no idea. They have great landscaping and wood features, and all the tables have nice, outdoor umbrellas and candles. I never knew outdoor dining could be quite like this, and I loved it. We started with both the calamari and the guac and chips. That probably wasn’t the best guac I’ve had given that I’ve spent 90% of my life in Texas, but it was even better than a lot of places in Texas serve. The calamari was unique and delicious. I had the Mushroom Risotto(as did another party at our table), and my significant other had the Summer Salad. Both were fantastic. That type of salad is probably my favorite — a familiar(at this point) concoction of fruit, pecans, goat cheese and vinagrette. All it takes is fresh ingredients and good dressing, and this salad had both. While I’m not exactly a connoisseur of risotto, I certainly can tell when it’s been overcooked/undercooked, and of course, when I like it and when I don’t. This risotto was very well done — not too heavy or rich, but plenty of flavor. To summarize, great ambiance, timely and friendly service, fantastic food(probably the best meal I ate in my five days in Ft. Lauderdale) — and all while basically sitting in a parking lot eating from a food truck. Great experience.

As I was on a vacation, I wanted to find a great place to eat. From these reviews, I was expecting a delectable meal between my boyfriend and I. However, it was not as lovely as I expected. The food was less than okay. We had read a review that said the guacamole and {homemade chips} were fabulous but when store bought tri-color chips showed up I was not pleased. It tasted fine, but we were expecting more. My bf and I weren’t super hungry so we split the Parmesan chicken. Also, less than okay. I am positive I have made better. Onto the service… You could tell they were understaffed by the line at the front that took a little to get seated. We weren’t in a hurry and could tell they were understaffed so we told them to take their time with us. However, the table next to us did not seem happy by their wait and then getting served the wrong food probably didn’t help. Overall, ambiance was great. Service and food mediocre.

This is the coolest place on the beach hands down. This entire restaurant is outdoors. How cool! The kitchen appears to be sort of a trailer but wow do they crank out great food. We heard they have Happy Hour from 5 – 7 which includes some food items. We arrived at 5:30PM and were sat immediately. It was a little cloudy with some chance of rain but we crossed our fingers. They do have massive umbrellas over most of the tables. Our server was great. He was super friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff kept our water full and plates cleared as well. Happy Hour was half price appetizers, salads and flatbread pizzas. We went for the fried green tomato appetizer and the curry chicken sticks. Both arrived hot fresh and were really good. The curry was a bit sweet, so just be prepared. The tomatoes were not greasy at all and the aioli served on the side went well. We also ordered the Steak Aioli Flatbread and the Chicken Rustica Flatbread. Both were fresh crisp and tasted great. We liked the Chicken Rustica a bit better as the favors were a bit more bold. These were a lot bigger than we expected too. We took half of each home with us. One thing to note is soda is served is canned, so no free refills. Iced Tea is all you can drink. All that food and out bill before tip was $ 28! The menu is Italian based and lots of items to please everyone. This area of the beach is going thru a transformation and this is a great addition to the area.

Great complete outdoor restaurant a few blocks away from the Ft. Lauderdale beach. We had the spinach artichoke dip with fresh pittas. Yummy! Then followed by a chicken Cesar salad with Balsamic vinaigrette. My friend had the American salad with salmon. These were both fresh and lovely. Pros: –Service was great, friendly, prompt and efficient. –Food was fresh, great presentation and good portions. –Setup was clean and inviting. It’s completely outdoors, so no fuss no muss! –Prices are moderate to high depending if you arrive around 5pm for happy hour. –Apps and a few other items are half off which is a plus. –Both cash and credit are welcome.

First off, you have to know that Plaza Bistro is different; like really different. It’s all outdoors! There is no indoor anything with the exception of the kitchen area which I found to be manned by two really great aspiring chefs: culinary students from our well acclaimed Fort Lauderdale Culinary Institute. Hence, assuring me the latest, most up to date as well as most innovative of cuisine, perfectly prepared and impeccably presented. You have your choice. You can be seated at a table under some of the best(word is that they cost about $ 5,000 each!) outdoor umbrellas I’ve ever seen or on their romantic, rather trendy, totally«in» snow white lounging seats which, being a boater I immediately recognized as being custom made of seating materials until then I’ve only found upon the finest of the Venice of America(yes, that’s Lauderdale) yachts. Surrounded by flaming torches, candles(rechargeable electric for safety), lush palms and other vegetation, Plaza Bistro is a setting that is not only romantic and trendy, but also exudes a quality of classy understated tropical elegance. Should you decide to dine here you’ll also find the menu to be far more expansive and complete than you would expect at an outdoor patio setting with some really great appetizers(Prince Edward Island Mussels, shrimp skewer and a great served in paper cone calamari just to name a few), salads(even a Caprese as well as a balsamic Caesar), sandwiches, burgers and pastas plus a host of real brick oven style pizzas. Plaza Bistro is a restaurant but more than just a restaurant, it’s a part of a unique concept not only to itself but to what is becoming the North Beach Village, being a neighborhood village of newly renovated hotels as well as new resort locations such as the nearby Royal Palms, a totally new, lavishly beautiful, two pool two story resort catering to the gay community. However, the North Beach Village and more particularly Plaza Bistro is all inclusive, a place for everyone and everybody, including your kids, your dates, business associates or whatever to enjoy. The plans for North Beach Village are big, real big, not only in its undertaking but in its concept. Truthfully I’ve never witnessed anything like it before and I marvel not only at what they have accomplished but at their entre undertaking which, though far from completion, is already showing itself with several of its key elements completed, ready for customers to enjoy. For price comparative, food, service and unexpected uniqueness, it’s about as good as it gets.
