Went here for a Valentines Day brunch and I was so happy we did. Brunch was $ 40.00 a person, but it was well worth every penny. Unlimited mimosas and all you can eat buffet. Omelette and waffle maker too!!! An amazing dessert selection and gorgeous view of the water. They gave me a rose and two white chocolate covered strawberries when we got there, service was very good as well. Looking forward to returning soon! Loved it!

Great Sunday brunch with the typical omelette/seafood/beef stations. Desert was above average. The selection isn’t as large or diverse as the local competition, but the quality of the food more than makes up for that.

I had brunch here one time on a weekend. I was informed by a friend that the buffet brunch is only $ 18 on the weekdays. I’m not sure if they offer different things but the weekend buffet brunch with limited mimosas was $ 40 per person. There was a salad bar and the hot dishes that were sitting there included eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, pasta primavera, salmon and chicken. They had an omelette station with a wide variety of add ins for your omelette. For seafood they had peel and eat shrimp, crab legs and smoked salmon. They also had bread, bagels, rolls and a toaster. There was a carving station that had some type of red meat. The dessert selection was amazing and was definitely the highlight of this brunch experience. The chocolate fondue fountain had many things to use for dipping such as strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, and a bunch of others. There were mini tarts and even mini lemon meringue pie which were adorable. The fruit salad had papaya, strawberries and mangoes with some green herb, maybe it was parsley or basil. You were able to order waffles and pancakes. They were offering pancakes with bananas, chocolate chips, blueberries or plain. I opted for the blueberries pancakes. Unfortunately they were not good and I could not finish them. One side was cooked but the other side was not fully cooked and it tasted like the batter used was old.

I was in the hotel for a business trip and came here for a buffet breakfast on Saturday. I am glad someone else way paying. I did not have that much to eat, a 2 egg omelet, a waffle and few other tiny bites, but everything was good. But at close to $ 30, it was silly expensive. The omelet station has a few pre-made options but it really is set up to design your own. They have both eggs and egg whites, so you can be a bit healthier if you care to. There are plenty of veggies, and the chef that morning was a really nice guy and pretty fast. The waffles were OK, I just wanted to try something in addition to the omelet. They are large and thin, not the thick and tall type. OJ was good(it better be, this is Florida), but in spite of the pulp, I don’t think it was fresh squeezed. Not that it was advertised that way(maybe ti is, I did not check out the menu). So on someone else’s dime, go for it. If you are paying for it, stay with the menu unless this is your only meal of the day.

We stayed in the resort and enjoyed breakfast every morning at Riva. The hostesses Pamela, servers Edwina, and Krystina took great care of us. Elaine’s omelettes delish. Great coffee.

My little party of 4 just left here after Mother’s Day Brunch. In years past, we were accustomed to paying about $ 50 – 60 for brunch so I never thought to verify the price. Also, in the past, the brunch is served in their lovely restaurant overlooking the ocean, but today we were sent out to the Ocean Ballroom for their sold out brunch. The food was mediocre. It used to be amazing. Many foods are pre-portioned and after they’ve sat in their serving dishes they just start to wilt. The selection was excellent, however, I cannot believe they had very few breakfast foods. They had no eggs benedict, no potatoes, and many other missing items. The dessert table was completely uninspiring. I could have found better deserts at Publix. We had to ask 4 times for a server to update mimosas and water, and ultimately to bring a check and then collect the credit card. The service was the absolute worst, and I’m even less happy now that they FORCED me to pay 20% tip. I’ll be disputing this in the morning. Worst part of all — we were all in one big ugly room with stations all around. It was certainly not a special environment and DEFINITELY not worth the $ 75 per person plus $ 15 tip, amounting to $ 90 per person. I’ll NEVER go back there again for Sunday Brunch, trust me.

They adjusted my bill so I’ve updated my review. It’s a resort hotel on the ocean so one would expect the prices to be what they are. We had a great meal with a wonderful server.

We happened upon the brunch after a long travel day. It was minutes before closing and the staff insisted we come in and try the fare. The made us feel very welcome. We were told repeatedly to take our time. Great service from Teresa and Krystyna. Food and dessert was good. Standard brunch fare. Mimosas flowed nicely.

It is inside the Marriott … People who work in the restaurant make a difference as well — To mention or really worth mentioning are — Alan Kasperek is very sharp, quick and he can understand people in one go. Desiree– She is a great host! :) Teresa and Rosa.-Awesome people! :) Who loves customers and serves to the need. Rosa might be very humble –she is too humble also! :)

Met a friend for brunch at the Marriott harbor side beach hotel for lunch today. We sat outside and had the brunch(Buffet) which was $ 40 per person. This included coffee, mimosas and other beverages such as soda if you like. The food was pretty good. I had pretty much everything including prime rib, potatoes, shrimp, crab, key lime pie, salad and many more sweets. My only gripe was the shrimp was too chewy. As soon as I ate one I gave up on the shrimp. Also I wish there would have been more breakfast selections besides just a few things. I would have loved pancakes, French toast or something like that. All in all though it was a pretty good meal.

The prices of this hotel restaurant are embarrassingly high. Two eggs any style are $ 27. The powdered scrambled eggs at the $ 30 breakfast buffet are umm… Powdered. I actually felt humiliated walking out of there.

Not impressed with their small, overpriced menu or the quality of food. I had a chopped salad that came out with something fried(I assume onions) all over the top(which was not listed on the menu). When I asked what they were, the hostess couldn’t even tell me. The salad was mostly large chunks of lettuce and not much else. I also had the hummus appetizer. The veggies on the side were warm and wet, like they had been chopped and left to sit for quite a bit of time. The hummus was average, nothing special. Overall, much better options if you venture away from the hotel.

Located in the Marriott Harbor Beach, my expectations for Riva were that of a hotel restaurant which are usually functional but not necessarily great. But it was raining out and this girl wanted some breakfast that she didn’t have to leave for…so Riva got my vote. The restaurant is located on the main floor of the hotel and has a couple of different seating areas. I went up to the host and he told me there would be a small wait although I could see empty tables all over the place. But he was right on in his timing. Within 5 minutes I was seated with a menu and a pot of very good coffee. You have a choice(at least on the day I was there) of the breakfast buffet with custom made omelets or you can order off the menu. I chose to order off the menu as the omelet with rock shrimp and avocado sounded great! After negotiating with my server to get fruit instead of hash browns and no cheese on the whole thing, I enjoyed my coffee and the view of the ocean. While my server, Carolina, was great, the kitchen was not. My food took forever to come up and then when it did, it was wrong. . it had cheese on it. My server was very upset about this– offered to buy me something while I was waiting(took her up on some more coffee) and then settled back to wait again. When it came up the second time– it was perfect but it really was too bad that it took a couple of tries. The restaurant was very apologetic(and my server seemed even more upset since she had taken the time to put the order in correctly) and actually comped my whole meal which was nice but all I really wanted was my omelet cooked properly the first time around. It wasn’t a big deal on this visit as we did not have plans but had we been in a hurry– this might have gone another way. BTW– that rock shrimp omelet? Definitely worth the wait.

My group of girls flew down to Ft. Lauderdale for a short vacation last weekend. We got to the hotel around 5 and found out that the beach bar/food service on the beach was closed, and the fancy restaurant wasn’t open until later. Our only option for food was Riva. Our intent was to have a quick dinner so we could get out to the beach before the sun went down. When we went in, Riva was pretty dead. There were a few tables and enough staff on hand. They didn’t seem that excited that we were coming in to eat when we got there. Service was slow. It took them FOREVER to bring out appetizers and soups. Good thing that’s all we ordered, or else we would’ve spent the whole evening in the restaurant waiting. The food wasn’t anything extraordinary. I don’t think a Caesar salad is really worth $ 11 dollars. Neither were some small Thai Chicken Wings. I don’t think bad Coke is worth $ 4 either. We ended up leaving hungry and paying way too much for apps. I guess we should’ve expected no less staying in resort hotel. But really? We could’ve at least had smiling faces on the staff! — Even though our restaurant experience sucked the first day there, the rest of the stay at the Marriott was great! We were really afraid everyone on staff would be like the staff in Riva when we left that restaurant. Thank goodness everyone else in the hotel were friendly and helpful. :)

Easily the best Sunday brunch I have ever had. Great selection of food, including prime rib careved in front of you, shrimp, salads, fruits, omelets, etc. Great service and always full mimosas!!! AWESOME!
