CLOSED. Now called Bourbon on 2^nd.

Not much one can say about the place other than it is closed, now extinct and gone forever. Rumor has it that the same operators are reopening under the new name of Bourbon 2^nd with a different menu and type of restaurant operation.

Can you say «crapacious»? That’s the word I would use to describe the food at this place. My hubby and I ventured in on a Saturday evening before heading over to an IMAX movie. The menu seemed pretty decent, so we went on in. I ordered the prime rib with baked potato. The waitress recommended the lobster bisque, so I went with her suggestions. FAIL! The lobster bisque was literally tomato soup with little lobster bits in it. My husband ordered a spinach & artichoke dip that was bland and had rubbery cheese in it. Our food took at least 45 minutes to arrive, despite that the restaurant was not at all busy (maybe 3 – 4 tables occupied, including us). My husband’s pizza looked and tasted as if it had come from Domino’s. My steak was completely RAW in the center (not rare, RAW). My baked potato was the only edible thing on the plate. And, because they had taken so long to bring the food out in the first place, I did not have time to wait for them to cook the steak properly. So, I wound up eating the outer edges of the steak and left the entire center. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

i went to the porterhouse for the tuesday night hip hop urban event sponsored by Power96.5. However. I was not allowed entry and the bouncer failed to explain why.
The manner in which he conducted himself led me to believe it was racially motivated. Consider:
— the crowd was 99.99% black
— i was the sole white Jewish man (think George Castanza)
— i have never caused any trouble in or near their establishment
Whats happening to our country? Brack Obama gets elected and the next thing you know a 30 yr old white Jewish guy can NOT get into a hip hop club?
