So, as usual, we end up looking for somewhere to eat after enjoying a night out. I have been to Las Olas many times before and never even noticed this place. But I’m very happy someone suggested it. The staff was very friendly and upbeat. It didn’t seem to be too crowded, but got more packed as the night went on. The service however, did not show any signs of strain and we were well attended to. We ordered the sashimi, Japan Red Hot, Hamachi Jalapeño, Triple and the Japanese Bagel. I loved the Red Hot!!! Everything tasted so fresh; the crunchy things were super crunchy and the fish melted in your mouth. The rice was cooked perfectly as well. The meal was beautifully complemented with some sake. I was very impressed with everything about the place. I plan to visit again during the earlier hours to make sure it was as epic as I remember. They’re open until 2, so if you get a late night sushi craving, be sure to pay them a visit.

Terrible sushi and small rolls. Not worth the price. We had wahoo and all you saw was blood line! Seriously, the worst sushi cut I’ve ever had. Also we ordered 6 pieces of wahoo and they only came out with 5… We will never go back.

Great place and ambience. For me it used to be one of the secret spots in Ft. Lauderdale with it’s unique atmosphere. You can watch old films on the screen, while watching the chefs cutting up fresh fish, accompanied by hip music. I’d just ask to return Japanese beer on draft to keep the spirit.

Really good sushi. I had the Voodoo roll and the Dragon roll. Both were over the top good. I recommend the Voodoo roll if you like something on the spicy side.

My fiancé and I stopped in on a Sunday evening. Place wasn’t packed, about half full. Poor service — inattentive and slightly rude. I don’t need someone hovering over me, however, leaving dirty dishes on the table and give three word answer, is not what I would call even decent service. Meh Food — when you %?!$ 1 up edamame you know something is off. Way too much salt. Besides for the edamame we ordered the KC salmon and the KC tuna. The last KC salmon piece wasn’t even half way full and when we asked we were told that it’s an end piece. Um, okay? Best part of dinner was the ginger. One and done for us and Sushi Song.

Sushi Song was supposed to open at 11:00AM on the day I was there. I arrived at 11:30, the door was open, the cook staff was there, but weren’t ready and the wait staff hadn’t arrived. Not exactly a very impressive howdy do greeting, but I wanted to try the place out and returned at 12:30. Though no greeting upon my arrival there were several other patrons there, so I just took a table. It wasn’t long before what turned out to be the single and only server showed up, an individual who was rather awkward with what she was doing, clearly not very professional as a server, but with who I placed my order for a «Tuna Lovers.» When my Tuna Lovers roll was served it come in a most delightful long dish picture prefect presentation. It was comprised of exceedingly fresh tuna, cucumber and avocado in sticky rice topped off with more fresh tuna a delicious house sauce, all of a superior flavor, texture and taste. As Sushi Song occupies what was formerly the location of Brew Urban Café, a coffee house, on SW2nd it’s just off of the more busy rather hectic section of the Himmarshee District and as such has a rather comfortable location with a decent atmosphere about it.

Great sushi and great service. Only sushi restaurant I’ve heard of that’s open until 4 am! Ten pieces per roll and both my California and shrimp tempura were delicious!

We had tickets to a show at the Broward Performing Arts Center and wanted to have dinner and drinks first. We were running a little later than expected, and it looked like all the restaurants and bars in the Himmarshee area were just too much of a zoo to deal with on a time crunch, then I remembered Sushi Song. Tucked away behind Tarpon Bend this isn’t your typical Friday night spot, and although the place is small, and there were a decent number of people inside, getting a seat wasn’t a problem on a Friday aroun 7pm. We opted to sit at the sushi bar and the waitress approached us quickly. We ordered a glass of pinot grigio and a glass of sauvignon blanc(they don’t just have red or white, there are choices!) and looked over the menu. I had been to the Sushi Song location in Deerfield Beach previously an the offerings are pretty similar. Since we were in a bit of a time crunch we skipped appetizers and went right for sushi and ordered the A1A roll, the salmon California roll(salmon instead of krab), and the spicy tuna roll to split between the two of us. Sitting at the bar was kind of cool watching the chefs assemble everything, and our orders were up pretty quickly. While the salmon California roll and the spicy tuna roll were good, where Sushi Song really shines is the specialty rolls. At $ 22 the A1A roll cost more than the other two combined, but it was significantly larger, and it tasted amazing. Inside was lobster, avocado, and cilantro(really yummy combo) with spicy mayo, special sauce, and seared tuna on top. I would definitely order this again. The sushi was fresh, the service was good, and prices aren’t too bad. As I mentioned don’t be turned off by the higher prices of the specialty rolls, I do think that they’re worth it being much larger than the typical sushi roll. I noticed quite a bit of take out business as we were enjoying our meal, so keep that in mind. The atmosphere is intimate and good for a casual date night while still having some more upscale roll options. A huge plus was that it wasn’t too busy here and the service was quick, we were able to make our 8’clock show up the road no problem.

Had a horrible experience and I hope that this review helps warn people. But, I will start off saying the food was fairly decent. Just very disappointed with the employees. I forgot my suit jacket there one night so I called to tell them and was told it was found. So, I planned on getting it the next day. Then, when I called again the next day asking to have it ready because I was coming to pick it up the lady on the phone said it wasn’t there. It isn’t professional to say you had my jacket then«lose» it. A compensation for my now lost(or stolen) jacket would have been the proper way to handle it.

Found this tiny gem hiding behind the main row of bars in the Riverwalk district and decided to try it. The sushi here is until now, the best sushi I’ve ever had! What an amazing surprise. I ordered, and I completely recommend it, a spicy volcano roll. It was divine! A good portion of delicious california roll with crunchy crab in the inside, topped with amazingly delicious fish volcano sauce on top. The restaurant is small but feels intimate and quiet. The service was nice and professional. A very good place to have a meal.

I live in Fort Lauderdale an the sushi is good the serivce is really bad I wish I could just make my own sushi an pour my own beer just tried sitting at the bar to eat«an when I eat I leave with a 50 $ tab at least«there where 3 spots open an the sushi chef said they were takin«people were coming» I just left an didn’t wanna say anything or deal with these people there the worst an don’t cater to locals or people who really spend money thanks sushi song for another discontinued moment! I feel like the only time I’m really happy with service an all around feel is when I’m drunk an head in at 3am! I really hate when people don’t appreciate my business

This is one of our favorite sushi places. We drive out of our way to come for the spicy tom yum miso soup. Ask for it with lobster. It’s delicious. We have had very good service every time we come to eat here & the food never disappoints. The spicy octopus & conch salad always tastes fresh & is nicely presented. I love this place.

My husband and I came here on a really quiet Monday evening at around 5 pm and we felt like we rented the restaurant. We were the only ones there the entire time. It was sort of pleasant but also kind of awkward. The service was amazing. If I could give our waitress a 5 stars, then I would have. She was constantly filling our drinks, checking on us, making sure we were happy and even when she wasn’t doing that, she cleaned or organized the restaurant. They only have a few options for alcoholic beverages. Just a few wines, lots of sake and a few beers. I just got their Cabernet and it was okay. Onto the food, we got the little gyoza appetizer and it came with 5 dumplings and it was packed with flavor, albeit a little small. The dipping sauce for the gyoza is a great blend of sweet and spicy. I loved it. The sushi was super fresh, I got some sashimi and the octopus was great, the eel was superb and the imitation crab was to be expected. I ordered the dragon roll with salmon on top and it was good but it was plain for what I normally get. Like you’d figure a dragon roll would have 4 – 5 ingredients inside the roll but this one just had fried shrimp and cucumber. And the rolls are a lot smaller than if you go to some other sushi restaurants. Overall, it’s a cute little hole in the wall that is supposed to get super busy late at night. They are open until 4 am! The sushi is fresh and the service cares about the restaurant and its customers. The sushi is a bit smaller sized than what I am used to and not as lavish, but it’s still solid.

I’ve had Sushi Song take-out quite a few times, but now that I’ve actually stopped in for a meal I feel qualified to review. As our Sunday Funday was nearing an end and all the near by bars were closing, a friend and I decided to check out Sushi Song, as really, I needed food by this point, and she wanted to enjoy some more sake(I started my drinking much earlier in the day than her lol). The best part about Sushi Song is how late it’s open, yes even on a Sunday, so the place was pretty packed when we stopped in around 10:30pm. We grabbed two seats at the bar and perused the menu. I was tempted to get one of the special rolls on the board, but it had cilantro and my friend isn’t a fan, so I went with a Triple roll so she could have a bite. I also ordered edamame, which I had to remind the server about since our rolls came out and we hadn’t seen the edamame yet. The food itself was pretty good, and the pricing was standard(or even a little low considering the area), so I’d happily come back. And knowing that they are open til 4am! WOW, um yeah, this so beats the standard 3am pizza that we all end up getting when downtown late night!
