The service here is consistently slow and mediocre. I frequently hear the employees complaining about being there, and I get less than a friendly response when I ask them to fix something they got wrong about my order(which happens often). From what I can gather, they are a high volume location, but I have had much better and much quicker service and food from locations that were far busier. The one saving grace of this location is the lady that goes around cleaning up the restaurant who is always happy and friendly. I forget her name but she always makes me smile. Overall though, there needs to be a serious change in attitude and culture at the 17th St. Panera.

At this location they were rude and the Place was very dirty. Everything I ordered she said they were out of. I did give them a second chance and ate there again and it was even worse. Plus after 15 minutes of waiting someone came over and said we were out of one of the things we had ordered. We will never eat at this location again.

As a big Panera customer, I eat at Panera in several different states and cities every month. This is the Panera closest to my home however every time I go I am so disappointed by the level of customer service and presentation of the food today was the last straw. I can’t even get through on the phone to let the manager know how terrible the salad was from my pick two today. When you pay extra for a avocado to be added and all you got is a sliver of mushy avocado something must be done. On top of the fact that my order wasn’t ready when I arrived and it took almost 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me would’ve expected a perfect order. Now it’s my fault for not checking the bag before I left but I was just in a rush and they already were making me late. Maybe at some point I’ll be able to reach someone and they’ll make amends for this terrible food and customer service. Until then I’m going to begin going out of my way to visit a Panera bread that meets my standards. What’s sad is they probably get a ton of business because of their proximity to the beach.

I come this location at least 2xs a week. If i phone in an order, I still have to wait. What’s the point of phoning in? They always tell me my order will be ready in 5 minutes, but more like 10 or 15 minutes. One time, I called 30 minutes ahead, told them I would be there at 0745. It was ready. My suggestion, give them more than 5 minutes to fix your order if you are trying to do a rapid pick up.

This is by far the worse Panera Bread I have ever been to, and I’m so disappointed because it’s the closest one to my home in Harbor Beach. Besides parking being a nightmare here, the service is horrible and food sub par! They clearly do not take pride in their store as they typically have only one person at the register as the line gets longer and longer, almost exiting out of the entry door. The bread(isn’t that what they are known for) is always overcooked and not cut with much precision… it always looks like someone took a bite out of each side of it, and don’t dare ask for a different piece! If you do, they will be offended and then proceed to lie to you stating that all of the bread looks as horrible as the one they have served you. Seconds later you’ll see another person grab their tray from the counter with a better looking piece of bread. It’s like a game they play or something sick! After this happened to me a couple of times(don’t ask me why I went back after the first bad experience) I finally asked to speak with the manager. A girl by the name of Lara(I believe) came over to the counter and when I expressed my dismay she just smiled and said I’m so sorry that you feel that way! When I told her that Sofia who had served me had lied to me about the bread, she smiled again and replied I’m sorry that you feel that way. Management clearly doesn’t care about their customers! I even took the time to email Panera corporate never to hear from them about my feedback! I won’t be giving them my money– there are far too many excellent places on 17th street. I’ll take my business to Einstein bagels just one block east!

I ordered my food to go. They forgot spoons for the soup which I didn’t notice til I was back at work and my sandwich was soggy and it only had one chunk of chicken which filled about 1⁄5 of the sandwich. I love Panera but this was my worst experience by far.

This location is a nightmare during lunch time. They have the customers wait at the counter for their orders which causes unnecessary congestion. This is the only panera location I have been to that constantly messes up orders. They need to train their employees to pay attention to detail and read what is on the monitors in front of them. I will no longer waste my lunch break at this location.

What can I say. How can you go wrong with the You-Pick-Two for a quick lunch or dinner. With relatively healthy and seasonal choices, the variety is continuing. Let’s be honest though: its a chain. There’s nothing special about this location from the next. With that being said, however, the consistency is great. Who doesn’t love warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies?!

Okay as a Panera goes, but the women’s bathroom is dirty and broken down. Shame on a company with so much money not to invest in the bathrooms!

All panera breads are not the same. The menu maybe similar but things like cleanliness and friendly efficient service make a difference. This morning they were efficient and effective. I was jonesing for some coffee and a little off put by the line that stretched to the sidewalk outside. But it moved quickly, and not only that, but they actually had coffee. Yes, as amazing as it sounds, they had coffee — which for some reason recently, many of the places have had only empty pots. Yes, will be back.

I wish I had taken a picture of our lunch today and timed the service. I ordered a salad with chips for myself and a kids meal pb&j for my daughter. There was one person waiting ahead of me to pick up but it didn’t look like anyone was actually working behind the counter so I went and put our stuff down at a table. I wasn’t given a beeper so I finally walked up and saw them putting my plate on the counter. However, they messed up my order but I had to wait several minutes to get someone’s attention for help and then the peanut butter sandwich was a hot mess so I basically had to remake it myself back at the table so my daughter could eat it. Ugh, I don’t think I’d ever imagined having to leave a poor review for a Panera?!

I’ve tried 2 times to let them cater a breakfast for me & both times they failed! Making me late for my event with a FROZEN crumb cake!!! I’m embarrassed & I’m done with this Panera. They could simply care less. On top of all of that they even charged me for it! & made me pay for the coffee I drank while they were getting my order ready. No customer service skills!

So as I stand here waiting for my ice latte to be made managers just stare at u wondering what u are waiting for… I went up and asked if some one was making my drink and they totally ignored me. Asked again and they where totally confused wth??? It should take 15 just for a drink seriously the worst and last time I’m coming here. Horrible customer service.

I’ve been to many different Panera Breads over the years and they’ve always had great food and service. What I don’t like is their prices! You easily spend more than $ 10 for a half salad and a drink!!! I wish I could’ve given them a 5 star, but I can’t.

This is a good location to grab a quick bite or just a cup of coffee and hang out. I had some work to do and was looking for a quiet spot to get away from the office and relax. I was hoping to take advantage of the free wifi they offer but the program I was using needed more bandwidth so I had to use my own connection. I sat for a couple hours banging away on the IPad but had to leave when I tried talking to a coworker and the background music was too loud to the point of being obnoxious. I’d still recommend Panera to others, especially this location which is usually clean and the people watching is a added bonus.

I’ve gone to a few Panera before and have always loved their food. This is the first time that I’ve purchased kids meal at the store and what a disappointment. I ordered a peanut butter sandwich with apple and milk for one of the kids. I ordered a cheese sandwich with apples and milk for the other kid. The peanut butter sandwich looked like my daughter had made it. The plate had jelly stains and the peanut butter was coming out of the sandwich into the plate. The cheese sandwich was burnt and it didn’t even had any butter on bread itself.(Not complaining since I like to eat on the healthy side) but it didn’t look like a $ 4.19 meal at all. I asked for the apples to be cut and they hacked the apples and didn’t even take the seeds out making it hard for them to eat. My sandwich took a while to be done although there was no wait, bacon turkey bravo and my iced green tea was blah at best. Very surprised no one asked to help even though I was alone with two young ones. Overall very disappointed at service and food quality. I also kept having to shoo a bug from our table. Not pleasant as I killed it on my food plate. Urgh! Don’t think I’ll be coming to this Panera anytime soon.

This was my breakfast order: –Green Passion Power Smoothie(larger size) –Avocado, Egg White & Spinach Breakfast Power Sandwich My group of 7 looked at the online menu, ordered ahead, & had someone pick up our order. We ate in the hotel lobby. It was fabulous, & I’m very glad we ordered ahead, since many of the other reviews & tips seemed to complain they were slow. Thank you!

This is the second of three Panera locations that I’ve visited in South Florida recently that seems below par. The one in Palm Beach Gardens was great. Maybe the other two have the same ownership(also tried Pompano Beach). Just a little tired on the interior. Service is slow and hap-hazard, preparation wasn’t the quickest and so forth. Certainly disappointing compared to other locations which I’ve tried. Manager seems to run around frazzled and angry. Needs to be sharpened up all the way around.

Food’s good like any other Panera. BUT I’ve put an online order twice to just come and pick it up and go — have they been on time? No. There is a reason why I order online! I haven’t had this problem with other Panera locations. I don’t order online to come stand around and wait for it to be done. They say the order should be done in about 10 minutes after placing it. First time, I didn’t come get it until 15 – 20 minutes after I had placed the order. When I came, was my stuff ready? No. Second time, I place an order at 7:45AM and put it to be picked up at 8:20. I don’t come in until 8:30 so I pretty much just gave them an extra ten minutes. Is my food ready? Nope. And they’re not done until around 8:42. My order should’ve been done and ready to picked up 20 minutes ago! I don’t like having to speed to work just because of someone else being late.
