Outback Steakhouse

Well… the food was pretty good. Service was acceptable. Too bad the place smelled like it needed a good cleaning. I don’t have that keen of a sense a smell and it smelled bad to me. I was just passing through but i would hestitate to come back if I lived here.

Great food and outstanding service at Outback Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale’s Imperial Point neighborhood conveniently located right off of Federal Highway. I had the chicken tacos for lunch and they hit the spot. Service is quick, attentive and friendly.

Our first time here at this location. Fantastic food and service. Everything was cooked to perfection and they have a full bar. Must recommend «Parker» one of the best servers we have had in a long long time.

Came for lunch on New Years Day. Had David as a waiter. I found him a little off putting but I can be somewhat picky. When we went to pay and gave him a gift card thought no problem because the couple next to us had paid with a gift card. Took about 20 minutes before he came back and told us that he couldn’t process the gift card seemed really strange had to pay cash really no problem but why sell gift cards when you can not honor them? Usually go to 17^th St and Plantation Locations which are always great this place food subpar, service lets not go there and no sign of management when we had the problem. Will never go back.

If you don’t have anything nice to say, then say nothing. I shall say nothing except that two stars is generous.

Management Sucks
This review deals ONLY with the management. The food was fine and the service by Christina was excellent which is why I’m typing this review.
So a group of us from work go here on 11÷24÷15 at 1130a for a Thanksgiving Luncheon. There was about 11 of us. Christina is busting her ass serving all of us. She has a great personality and seems very pleasant. In this space and time Christina is representing this Outback in a very positive light. She knows we all want separate checks which is a nightmare for a server. She handles that with ease and doesn’t complain one bit. I have to say I’m impressed with this young lady. I asked her if I can speak to the manager to say what a wonderful job she did for our group. I think she said the manager’s name was Lisa. Christina says ok and goes to get the manager. She comes back and said the manager is working the line and CAN’T come out. WTF?! Are you kidding me! Mind you I wasn’t making a complaint I wanted to throw Kudos to her staff. It had me thinking, what about if I wanted to complain. Would, Lisa the manager put down her spatula and meet me or would she blow me off too. I would bet money there is a corporate policy that this manager violated. Shouldn’t there be two managers if another one is working «the line» in case the customers want to speak to someone in charge. I don’t know but something is screwed up here.
I’ve been a manager for over 19 years and what Lisa, the manager is doing here is wrong. I felt horrible for Christina because she deserved at least 1 minute of her manager’s time so I could praise her work ethic and professionalism. Christina suggested I fill out a comment card to say she did a great job. Well here is my comment card Christina for all the world to see. Stay Hungry!

Came here for dinner recently and had the steak and lobster tails with a side of fries and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, the waitstaff was friendly and solicitous, and overall it was a great dining experience.

Went here with my girlfriend for for a quick lunch and everything went wrong. First they gave us a table that wasn’t clean and when I told the waitress about it she made a face and then moved us to another one that was being cleaned so when we sat down the table was alittle wet. After that they took forever to take our orders and when the food came it was somewhat cold. I will never come back here again, they have no respect for customers at all.

Not my favorite, I order for pick up the other day on Sunday– it was terrible: first I waited for ever at the pick up parking space, after waiting for like 15 minutes and no one came out I decided to walk in. The side door was locked so I had to walk in thru the main entrance. Which sucked because I was all dirty from working on my house. So I proceeded to the pickup area there I was waiting for another 10min or so, no employees in site. After the long wait the food runner came and ask what did I order and told her, then she tells me that they were out of one of the items in my order and if I’ll like to look at the menu and other something else. At that point I’ve been waiting for like 25 minutes after placing the order like an hour early. I said no thanks I really have to go my kids are hungry and it’s been a really long wait. So I got my incomplete order and went home to cook some extra food because what I got wasn’t enough. :(
btw the was super cold when I got it. Cold blooming onions are the worst.

This food is so nasty ! Front door host was so rude and didn’t even look up at us. I ordered a lobster and steak and it tasted nasty.

Went there for dinner on Saturday night and was very surprised that it was not very crowded. Hostess and waitress was very friendly. We ordered drinks and an appetizer before ordering our dinner. My drink which was a frozen rum runner was not good at all. The drink tasted more like water than anything else. The waitress did take it back and brought me another one but it still was not good but I said nothing. The appetizer was slightly greasy which was the onion petals that is on the drinks and snack portion of their menu. The steaks however were very good and cooked exactly as we asked. The waitress however was extremely nice, constantly coming by to make sure that we were fine and asking if we needed anything else.

Brought out wrong lobster then my ribeye tasted like it was very bad, then we got butter spilt over all of us. Still not upset, though.
The fact they didn’t at least take one meal off the ticket because 2 of the 3 meals were messed up really kinda upset me. Just bad customer service. We were all eating at different times, totally ruined the whole atmosphere.
We still tipped the waitress 18% despite the mishaps, can’t blame her that the cook has no idea how to cook a steak or follow an order.

Ordered food online for pick up took them 10 mins to bring food to car then I get home one of the items I ordered was not in the bag checked the receipt and I definitely paid for it. I call them they tell me the kitchen never made it but they will now. Told the lady I don’t want to come back refund my card she gave me an attitude told me I will still have to come back she needs the card. She says shes getting the manager she gets back on the phone and pretended to be the manager I told her I will stop by the following day she said fine and hung up. Get to the restaurant the next day met the real manager who had no idea what I was talking about but said she would refund the money she takes my card and receipt comes back with my card no receipt tells me I’m all set.
Here I am 3 weeks later still not refund and they definitely took their money plus the tip I originally left.
Horrible service and average food.

Of course TASTY, of course HIGH in every possible calorie intake BUT always fresh and delicious. Service is good and quick, beer is cold and place is nice and clean.
If you just get an entrée it comes either with soup or salad, so trust me you got a lot of food.
AMAZING onion soup!

Absolutely the worst steak ever. We just tried to finish our Memorial Day treat. The only thing remotely edible was the salad and blooming onion. We ordered medium steaks, received well done+++. The dogs will not even taste them. Waste of $ 60. We asked for loaded baked potatoes, received plain. The to-​go server seemed lost in thought both on the phone and in person. S/​he forgot most of the details of our order (5:30 pm today) and had to ask my name over and over.
I was a loyal customer of this chain for more than 20 years, but not anymore. Look at all the other reviews here an other chains: Outback is clearly in the decline.

As I’m sure we all know, Outback is one of the largest of all steakhouse chains seemingly with locations all over the place. Though not a fan of chain anything, I’ve dined at a lot of them and generally found them to be pretty good. Unfortunately this particular Outback is not one of the better. Though seemingly clean, neat, and well organized I seem to have consistently and always had less than desirable experiences here. They pride themselves on meats done as ordered, even have a nice like colored chart describing exactly what is meant by rare, medium rare, medium, medium well done and so forth. I’ve been here on three different occasions, on each ordering their ribeye done rare, and on each occasion it has been served somewhere between medium (no red center to it) to medium well done. Though on each occasion my waiter or waitress has inquired about my steak, which I have cut into, shown them and they have offered to take it back, I’ve declined. Nice of them to ask and offer, but unless the food is inedible I’m not inclined to send anything back. Matter of fact, I’m more inclined to just pay up, consider it a lesson learned, and leave.
Also on my visits here I’ve noted them seem to somehow shifted around as to who your waiter or waitress is and who actually serves, which has twice resulted in the problem of my salad order not being delivered prior to my entrée, which has meant that I’ve ended up on both occasions having my Caesar side salad after my main course, sort of a being a substitute for what would have been my dessert.
Hence in comparing this Outback, not with other competitive steak houses but with other Outback restaurants, Two Stars.

Slow service. Food look so good but test doesn’t like look may be I order wrong order Steak may be better. We order Mahi and salmon. Even I told them don’t over cook still too too dry. I will be back again if I want steak but not for anything else
