My wife and I were hungry travelers, and we spotted this place while returning our rent car across the street. We went for cheeseburger combos and we were amazed. The cook fired up the grill and slapped down two fresh patties. Our burgers were delivered promptly and were slathered with some awesome sauce I couldn’t identify. It was super. The fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The staff was very friendly to boot. Best hole in the wall burgers in Ft. Lauderdale. If I ever get back that way I’ll have to try the wings!

Placed a delivery order. They collected my address and phone number. Waited about an hour then started calling. Continued to call over the next 90 minutes, there was no answer any time. No one ever called, I never got my order, and I went somewhere else after 2+ hours had elapsed.

I had a craving for a hot dog. Yeah, that’s a weird craving to have but when my stomach talks, it must be listened to. So I turned to the Unilocal app on my phone. Sadly, the first place it sent me was closed. «Relax,» I told my tummy. «There’s another place right here and it will be better! Only two stars, but hey, only one reviewer could be wrong.» I had my fingers crossed. A simple stand just north of the airport, I parked the car and walked up. A simple order, a hot dog with kraut, onions and mustard. While I sipped at the Diet Coke and watched them prepare the hot dog, I only had to repeat the toppings twice. When it was handed to me, I knew instantly that my stomach wasn’t going to be happy. Big pieces of onion and yellow mustard. Oh well, maybe it will still be okay. It wasn’t — the kraut was only warm(though it was at least dry), the bun was cold and the hot dog itself was only warm on the outside. «I shall have my revenge,» my stomach told me.

As the name implies, its basically just wings. However besides hot, medium and mild, they also have 17 other different flavors such as teriyaki, bbq, raspberry and hot lemon pepper, just to name a few. They also have sides like fried okra, collard greens, mac & cheese plus several more along with calamari, shrimp and fish dishes. This location has been through any number of business, previously a Texas Hot stand which went in and out of business so fast I never had a chance to try it though I dearly wanted to because I have yet to find a place in Fort Lauderdale serving an honest Texas style hot dog. They’re mostly all Chicago Style for reasons I have yet to fathom. Just wings has other locations, but doesn’t have that chainy feeling about it. It’s like they go out of their way for that roadside or hole in the wall style of establishment. The clerks are polite, friendly and the wings are good but nothing I found worth going out of my way for.
