Blackend shrimp with alfredo sauce so bomb and the spinach dip to die for Kaitlyn my waitress was the best Management came out to bring me my extra alfredo sauce and spoke so well this experience has made me want to move to Fort Lauderdale

I have been in south Florida for over 20 years, and this place has a great reputation. I can say, for me, it is okay. Not bad, not really wonderful, but perhaps a step above diner food. It is nice, host was pleasant, portions are average. I went for the afternoon lighter fare, and ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo. Again, a lot of grease on the bottom of the plate. I dont know, perhaps it is me, I might have been expecting more. The price and portion were both very average. All in all, I will not return. Not good, not bad, very average and not worth the value.

Hats off to Andrew, our waiter!!! His extra special service made our very good meal even better. We were there for 4 hours and he couldn’t have been more gracious or attentive.

Four of us stopped for lunch on the way to the airport. We all ordered burgers with sides. Every one of us raved about these burgers — hands down best burger I’ve ever had. Service by Juan, who was very helpful and attentive. A definite five star meal!

We’re reducing 2 stars as each time we have been there in the past few weeks for dinner, the TV at the Bar(and outside eating area where we like to sit) has been tuned to Fox News Channel. We like the food here, but can’t stand the TV — would rather look at «snow» than Fox News Channel, especially with this being the political time of the season. I asked the manager to please put on anything else on 2 different occasions w/o any effect. So we will not go back until after the election in November. I don’t know anything about the management here, but they may be conservative(even though they advertise in the gay press), and that makes even more reason not to spend our $‘s there. Others may feel the same. So they claim they have a «regular» who requests FNC on the public monitors. Fine, I hope they appreciate his business as his TV request is costing them other long term customers. We have heard from other friends who were also regulars who are staying away as well(just wish they had given us the heads-up earlier). Most guys we know also like the outdoor seating area as well.

Went on Sunday pretty early 6ish, it was busy. We sat in a booth in bar. I order the Rib Eye for $ 30.99. Cooked perfectly, it came with a choice of a a few things I took the baked potato. I was offered cheese greens onions bacon etc. G had the Chicken Nuggets salad, so very dry they were, but salad was nice. For me the steak was nice but for, $ 4.00 more I could have gone to a fancy steak house. Service is always good. No matter where you sit. Good but disappointed . Bön appétit

My family and I eat lunch at j marks at least once a week… The service and the food are always consistently great! Tanya is normally at the hostess stand and she is wonderful and will do everything to accommodate you… I have never had a bad meal here! There is a lunch menu as well as a mid day menu and happy hour… My favorite things on the menu are the salmon salad and ahi tuna sliders but everything is fantastic! The house mojito is amazing as well… They serve you warm, fresh bread rolls when you sit down. This place is a must in Fort Lauderdale!

First timer to this restaurant. The food was amazing the atmosphere was awesome. The server named Clint was witty and attentive. I really had an awesome night with my daughter. The prices were pretty good. I really recommend this restaurant for all of the above. Great night and awesome service Clint! Will definitely return!

I enjoyed the ahi tuna salad on the terrace, the sun was shining and the birds were singing and it was happy hour, $ 4 large glass of the house pino grigio. The salad arrived and it was fresh with mango, tomatoes and avocado. The tuna in the dish was outstanding. I also love the burger sliders and the wood grilled salmon cooked medium.

Nice casual atmosphere. LGBT friendly which to me — and I don’t mean to be prejudice here– means quality service and food. The staff are super friendly and knowledgable of the menu. It’s a great lil spot for an informal I don’t want to cook kinda meal. The rolls were the hottest cross buns I’ve ever had. My kale salad was no less tasty than the one I get at Max’s Grill. Our waiter was great, good timing for everything and even ran after us to give us my partners jacket. Has outdoor dining area covered with red awning makes everything glow.

The food was good however my shrimp was not that great. The tarter sauce made it bearable but although the shrimp was basic, my cocktail was amazing!!! I enjoyed the outdoor patio seating that was equipped with many heaters(it was a bit chilly out) and although this dish wasnt the best, this would be a restaurant worth returning to.

This is the first time I’ve been to this location. I have been to the pompano location a couple of times. Its definitely nicer and bigger then the pompano one. The service was great but my meal was lacking! We started off with there calamari which is good but all I was tasting is the fried batter. I like my calamari lighty battered so you can taste the calamari. It came with three different sauces. One was a very good chimichurri like sauce, a marinara and a garlic aioli sauce. I had the mahi mahi that came with brushcetta on top. The brushcetta on top of my mahi was great and seasoned right but my mahi was very over cooked. I took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. The plantains that I got for my side were cooked just like you would get at a Latin restaurant. Very good! My husband got the rib-eye steak medium rare and added lump crab on top with rice and beans. His dish was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The lump crab went nicely with the steak. Wasnt fishy what so ever. I got to give it to them there rice and beans were so good. I just kept eating them from my husbands plate since I couldn’t eat my mahi. Now when a restaurant has carrot cake on the menu I have to get it. The portion is huge. It could feed a table of 4. The cake itself is so moist and delicious. They also make there own whipped cream in-house which is nice and fluffy. Carrot cake is must try!

Apparently this is a chain as I was told by my colleague who suggested we head here for a Saturday brunch before foraging out to shop for other goodies at nearby stores. She raved at the crab cakes, so … why not? The interior is not unlike a chain restaurant and could easily be a Midwestern Perkins, a Bonefish Grill, a Carrabbas, even a Bennigan’s(though here red replaces green as the significant color but still awash in late 80s mahogany). Similar to the aforementioned chains, the staff seems to be friendly enough and probably almost all of them nice well mannered 20somethings that seem to resemble the ensemble of Jersey Shore without the(visible) tats and attitude. So a cute waiter who resembled The Situation(even Anthony, our waiter, admitted he had earned that moniker early on) and a comfortable setting… why 2 stars? First — yes, my colleague is correct — the crab cakes are outstanding — fresh, crisp, dripping with an abundance of blue crab. It’s just that… well… OK, SRSLY, the size of the crab cake(yes the ONE for $ 13.99) was a centimeter or 2 larger than a silver dollar… yep. We complained, and we got a second one(Anthony was all about the customer service) but still… 2 whole silver dollar sized crab cakes… really? I’ll take my chances with Mrs. Paul’s fish sticks next time, thanks. As far as the rest of the food; I guess my colleague was familiar with the menu, she had a beet salad that was spot on with the right ratio of nuts, feta and greens to match the perky tasty cubes of beet. Her daughter and I had regular eggs benedict. But they weren’t regular they were served on a difficult to cut(with fork & knife) focaccia… and the hollandaise… mmmm… not to me. It was a gooey neon yellow sauce that appeared for all practical purposes to be a yummy hollandaise… it tasted like lemon pledge. So… NO. There was a happy hour up to 3 which offered $ 3 mimosas and bloody Mary’s. the mimosas were standard(slim stemware, small drink, tasty) but whatever house vodka was being used in the bloody Mary’s must have been a follow-up floor wax to the aforementioned Lemon Pledge; in short — blech! Since it is a chain and it thus must have its fans, I know they need not rely on my returning anytime soon. In fact the highlight of the whole time there were the light and fluffy dinner rolls and the menagerie outdoors of ducks and iguanas milling about the parking lot.

I really like J Marks. I’ve been on several occasions and my go to dish is the Half of Roasted Chicken. It’s perfectly prepared and the Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes are heavenly. I usually take half of my meal home so it’s a great value and even reheated it’s delicious. I recently went for a friend’s bday party. She and her husband are regulars there so they rented the entire patio area for his surprise 60th. We arrived before the birthday boy and were greeted by super friendly staff who were amazing throughout the night! We never had an empty drink and we got to sample several passed apps. We started with the Bam Bam shrimp– yum! We also feasted on calamari, spinach dip, chicken satay with honey mustard, and mini prime rib sandwiches. Everything was delicious and we danced the night away! I must commend the staff again. My friends are great people and treat everyone in the service industry amazing but you could tell the staff that was selected to work that evening were exceptional. They went above and beyond and made the whole evening perfect!

This is not my first time here, but today I came with a large group rather than just one other person. The positive: The food. I was not very hungry so I ordered the chopped salad. It was absolutely perfect as it was light and delicious. It came with chicken, avocado, green apples, tomatoes, blue cheese, and a balsamic vinaigrette. I really had nothing negative to say about this dish and highly recommend it. Other dishes ordered at the table included the Kale Salad, Ahi Tuna Appetizer, Chicken Madeira which looked delicious, and Blackened Chicken Pasta. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the dishes. Another amazing thing at this restaurant is the fresh bread. It arrives warm, just out of the oven and always leaves you wanting more. We also enjoyed several glasses of wine and cocktails that included the Pineapple Fusion Daiquiri. It tasted like a Piña Colada on the rocks. It was delightful. The negative: The service. It wasn’t terrible, but they did seem overwhelmed. We got there before the busy dinner crowd and the restaurant was not very busy. I believe the factor was that our servers changed shifts just after we ordered our entrees and the second server was just thrown to the wolves. Overall, I would definitely co tongue coming back. Everyone I’ve come with 2 — 4 people, the service has been top rate so I can’t hold this one experience against them. On a side note, I stayed behind with a good friend of mine to catch up at the bar and they have a decent wine selection.

Started going here a few months ago and it became a go to place for decent food and good service. I’m giving a 3 because the last few visits haven’t been the best. It’s been kind of like a hit or miss. A nice looking restaurant with a main dining area, a bar with additional tables and booths, as well as outdoor seating. TVs at the bar and outdoor areas. The outside area can be enclosed and the restaurant brings out area warmers when it’s cold out so sitting out there is still nice. We prefer the bar area and the service is pretty quick. The service is good, it’s always nice to walk in and your server knows exactly what you want(tells you how much we frequent the place.***Brent is one of the servers that we usually get and he’s great!). It’s one thing when the staff takes the time to get to know their patrons, but it’s kind of sad when management doesn’t take the time to do the same. There is one manager in particular, that is usually there when we go. We never see him going to tables to greet guests and see how they are doing. One of those ppl that like to look«busy» but really isn’t. Always kind of running around and not doing anything productive. On to the food… the food is decent. This is where the hit or miss comes into play. We pretty much get the same things every time we go here. –The bread basket is really yummy. It is so light and airy… very good and addicting. –The Peppercorn burger topped with Bleu cheese Crumbles and onion rings. The bun used for the burgers are awesome here. Soft, fluffy, and sweet!(we get our burgers medium and during a few visits we have gotten it and it was just inedible. One time we had to send a burger back 3x! at that point we just opted out on getting the thing.) –Then we get a half portion of the Cobb salad. ***Portions are big here so great for sharing. The full size salads are huge! So i honestly recommend going with the small portion.*** Overall, for me its a good place to go to for a quick good meal. Big portions, and reasonably priced. I recommend checking it out…

It’d been seven hours since we ate our last real meal, and four hours since the bag of chips that Jetblue serves in flight. We finally arrived at our home away, dropped off our luggage, and immediately went into Unilocal search mode for good food. J Marks was recommended by our property manager and was two miles away, so what the heck, we decided to try it. We arrived at 4:30PM on a Wednesday to a near-empty parking lot, which was perfect since we needed quick service. And quick service we received — immediately seated and orders taken within the first five minutes of arrival. Half-priced Yuengling and house cocktails during happy hour? Don’t need to think twice about that. Lunch menu still available? Even better! Two Havarti Cajun Burgers, Ahi Tuna Sliders, and Prime Rib Sliders were in order, along with soft bread and butter. The burgers were cooked to the right temperature(medium rare), and the sliders were flavorful without the dipping sauces. We drank and noshed quickly, uncertain if it was the hunger or the tasty food that resulted in empty glasses and plates 15 minutes after everything arrived. Our waitress returned with the check promptly after our plates were cleaned, and for $ 50, we felt we got a huge deal for four diners just before the dinner rush. We drove by around 7:30PM that evening and the parking lot was packed. It must have been the food and space that drew all the customers here over other nearby restaurants — much better than an Applebee’s or Chili’s.
