Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Wow. Sitting in a smelly room full of signs proclaiming burgers better than the second coming, I am disappointed to report that this place is just awful.
Seriously, my expectations were low. C’mon; its a burger! They’ve been done and done done by more places than I can count. Trouble is they couldn’t even make my already low expectations.
The problem is compounded with a girl arguing my (and my wife’s) every choice. Every item I ordered was questioned and interrupted as though the menu was incomprehensible.
«I’d like a hamburger with»
«Do you want a hamburger or a little hamburger?»
«I’d like a hamburger with onions and»
«Do you want grilled onions or regular?»
«I’d like a hamburger with onions and relish and an order of fries»
«Do you want an order of fries or do you want to split the order with your wife»?
…and on and on
Well I gave up. Five guys lost revenue and they
Lost a customer. I quit arguing. I should have just asked the girl to order what she wanted.
The burgers were absolutely under seasoned, gray, gross and served on below average buns. The relish was horrible, totally overwhelmed with celery seed. I had to scrape it all off. I’ve never tasted anything that bad. I got like, 4 tiny pieces of chopped onion.
If a Quarter pounder is a ‘5’ this was a ‘1’ and cost twice as much.
The fries were cut too large, soggy with grease, and under-​cooked.
Twenty five bucks for 2 burgers, 1 fries and 2 drinks! Ridiculous! That, in a noisy room full of uncomfortable seating proclaiming the best burgers In the history of the universe.
Before we went out for dinner I joked about getting a bag of McDonald’s and I wish we had. I have no idea how this place stays open.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Beef only? Fail! I’m allergic to beef.
No pork or chicken options…
Very loud music. Aggressively welcoming staff… too strange.
Won’t be back.

I officially broke the 5 GUYS cherry!!! I now know why people have been raving about 5 Guys! Awesome, awesome food!!! Worth the $ 13 for a single burger, fries and drink! I am not a burger fan, rarely eat them but wow, I am a fan now!
5 Guys uses peanut oil and fresh potatoes (they have posted on a sign where the potatoes come from). In the middle of the store were bags of potatoes, boxes of peanuts and peanut oil. If you have an allergy to peanuts, don’t go in.
5 Guys also offers bun-​less burgers and hotdogs.
Apparently 5 Guys is a national chain (see the picture of the wall art).
Will I be coming back to 5 Guys, yuppers!!!

Good burger, good fries what else to write. I usually go for the works toppings wise, order the small fries they will give you more than enough. A good regular spot for a special Americana meal.

People love 5 Guys but I am not impressed. It’s one step above a McDonald’s or a Burger King in my book. If its the consensus for my office mates I’ll suck it up but you won’t find me here willingly or on the weekend.

Food was on point as usual, and they always hook it up with the extra fries in the bag. However, I was disappointed to find that there was only ONE ACTUAL «GUY» working there, and he wasn’t even cooking the burgers he was out in the dining area sweeping shit up. So it was really FOUR girls and ONE guy, not FIVE guys like the sign out front reads. This, folks, is what us industry people like to call «false advertising.» I was going to contact customer services but decided to take to Unilocal instead to potentially warn others that this specific location doesn’t always play by the rules.

Above average service, great food, and a clean atmosphere, food prepared in a timely manner, what more can you really ask for. I didn’t think I liked 5 guys until i stopped in at this location. Great experience everytime.

This place is fantastic! I killer burger made fresh! Fries are great too! I love five guys they are doing it right! If you like a burger and havent had a five guys burger you gotta get over there and get one!

Five guys is the best!!! Nothing better then walking into a nice open CLEAN establishment that smells like cooked fries! Hmmmm bacon! ADD FREE PEANUTS TOO!

The entire staff at this location was so kind, personable and happy to be there! Plus you can never go wrong with their burgers.

For fast food this is pretty decent. The detail with making your burger is exceptional and you can SEE them cook also. No dirty dining here! Very clean

The thought of their Cajun fries is already making my mouth water. Five guys is my favorite burger joint in florida.
Even when I receive the wrong order (a friend ordered wrong for me), the burger was still delicious and worth every calorie.
I usually order:
Double cheeseburger all the way with all jalapeños.
The double cheeseburger is delicious. The addition of all the toppings make this burger worth coming back for day after day.
Parking is easy as they share the lot with a dozen other stores in the Cordova shopping plaza, including Publix.
Cajun fries are perfectly seasoned. I don’t eat french fries unless they are seasoned fries. Five guys seasons them better than anyone else. The fries have a bit of a kick to them, but for me it is just right.
Definitely recommend.

Been in this area 2 years now and I’ve noticed that the quality of the food and accuracy of the orders has been sliding downhill. Went tonight, wasn’t busy at all. Ordered 2 things to go… as I walked to the car both were wrong. The guy who took the order was barely able to work the register (regular guy was not there). Burgers were dry and over-​cooked, fries were soggy and limp. Good thing I have a dog. BLAH! Think I’ll be laying off for a good while. If I’m going to pay $ 12 for a burger and fries, it should at least be the stuff I ordered.

This is my favorite fast food burger and fries place in town. They are to burger and fries what chick fil a is to the chicken sandwich. I always get the bacon and cheese with sautéed onions and mushrooms. If you don’t like those toppings, they have over twenty to choose from and they are all free. The fries are my favorite out of any restaurant, fast food or not. You must get the Cajun kind. A must try if you haven’t yet.

I absolutely love these burgers and fries! As some others have said, the price is a little high, but you get what you pay for. My only complaints are: 1) I don’t like the atmosphere for dining in, but we usually take out so it’s not an issue. 2) They don’t have milkshakes… come one, guys! and 3) there is ALWAYS gristle in the burgers, and I hate chewing on gristle and then having to get it out. But aside from that, these are greasy delicious burgers that you shouldn’t even every day but make for a perfect treat.

Coming out of 4 years of Miami customer service, a place like this almost feels like being in Disneyland. One employee held the door open for us as we walked in, they all smiled and asked us how are days were going. At one point I was staring vacantly, vaguely in the direction of the counter, used to the anti-​social every-​man-​is-​an-​island mentality of Miami, when an employee startled me by asking if he could get me anything. It’s like coming out of the desert and finding a waterfall. At first you can’t suppose people could really be that nice, but then you remember that everyone isn’t an asshole, and that outside of the desert people are nice for the most part.
The food is standard Five Guys fare, which is a step above most fast food joints, but the customer service is what really stood out here.

Burgers were pretty good. Love their fries… tasted crispy and fresh. And those free peanuts are just too good not to take some home with you.

I had heard a lot of good things about Five Guys so I thought I’d give it a try. It was nice to have freshly done fries. They really are delicious, but as for the burger itself, a rather typical quick food greasy, and I do mean greasy burger at best. There is nothing special about them except maybe the grease which must have something to do with the fat content of their meat and my hope that it won’t have anything to do with a rise in my blood cholesterol.
Basically, its cheap, easy on the wallet, has good fries but the burgers don’t begin to compare with those of Burger and Beer Joint, Le Tub, Shula Burger, ROK: BGR, the burgers served at the Alibi and no where near the good quality of those at Gilbert’s.
