Events By Grateful Palate

We just had a corporate function here and boy, was I impressed! I co-​organized the event and worked closely with Leslie to make sure all details were made a few weeks before the event. She was so passionate, informative, and responsive to any questions we had throughout the whole process. She couldn’t have made us feel more comfortable that we made the right choice to have our holiday party at Grateful Palate! Thanks Leslie!!!
The location is perfect, right on the intracoastal next to Shooters. The large room was decorated for the holidays. Spotlessly clean.
The servers and bartenders were as sweet as can be. The food came out hot and beautifully plated. The 4 course meal was amazing, from appetizers to a decadent dessert (see pic!!) I really couldn’t have asked for a better luncheon. Highly recommend.

I date back a number of years with the Grateful Palate, back when they were located on 17^th Street. I’ve been to a number of social events they have catered and have participated along with them and others in provisioning several yachts. Originally when they were located on 17^th street their operations generally seemed combined in one location run out of the Grateful Palate restaurant. Today, that has changed. The restaurant operation is now Shooters Waterfront and the catering/​yacht provisioning operations, Grateful Palate, are separate, located in what is an eye appealing beautifully appointed Intracoastal waterfront location wherein events may take place and be hosted.
Of the special events I’ve attended, the food, preparations and services of the Grateful Palate have been nothing short of top notch, the very best. And, when it comes to the provisioning of yachts they are clearly the best not only with their sourcing of provisions but with their planning, knowledge and thoughtful ideas. As a tip, if you become involved in provisioning of a yacht don’t go to them with any preconceived ideas. Just have a good outline of the number of people, days at sea, and some basics of any on board theme parties or expectations, be they lavish or basic. Then you can just leave the details up to them. They know best what is fresh, what is available, and also being seasoned professionals at what they are doing, a much better idea than you might have as to proper preparations and presentations. Another good point about the provisioning services of Grateful Palate that I’ve noticed is that even when the provisioning budget is unlimited, they don’t to accomplish it by merely tossing tons of money at it. Instead, they tend to keep it to the point of focus and do it in amounts and prices that are reasonable.

Great views and great food during our business event. Only downfall was the bartender didn’t make the best mixed shots and also was a little strange that there was an employee cleaning the windows during our event.

I was recently at a Wedding here and the space was amazing, open inviting, and the food was fantastic… The staff exceeded my every expectation, the food service was performed like a choreographed ballet… I would recommend this place for your next party

Beautiful venue that is right on the water! All of the oeuvres were delicious. The staff were very sweet.

We used to dine at the Grateful Palate pretty often. Great location. Great service. Solid food. I used to love going there because (1) they allowed me to bring my own wine (corkage fee = $ 25) and (2) it’s the only restaurant I know that would allow my wife and I to share a pasta and a steak. What’s the big deal you ask? Well, the wife and I don’t eat the steak the same way. I like it rare. She doesn’t. No problem. Whatever steak we ordered they would cut in half and, cook and serve accordingly. They even plated the pasta and steak separately. AWESOME!
After dining at the Grateful Palate some 5 – 6 times, we were sad to hear that it closed. Few months later, they apparently bought the venue where my employer hosts its yearly dinner. They took this venue, gutted it, and made it theirs. Absolutely gorgeous space… right on the water. I highly recommend Events by Grateful Palate. Much like their former restaurant, excellent food and service.
Since my employer’s event, we have gone back and did their Valentine’s Dinner. Pretty good job that night as well!
PS: The main reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars (yet) is because when we went for the valentine’s dinner, there was a strong food odor throughout the dining room. I didn’t enjoy that. I also didn’t enjoy the fact that it was a bit warm in there as they had the doors open. Great water views but it was not that cool of a night and I felt warm throughout. Perhaps they had the doors open because of the food odor in the dining room…
Of note, the Grateful Palate also bought, gutted, and reopened Shooters next door. We’ve gone there once for drinks only. The place looks stunning and I am sure the food is going to be fabulous!

Beautiful event thrown by Voices for Children! Raised money for abused and neglected children! The venue was gorgeous and though huge very inviting. Could see the yatchs. Sit outside and enjoy a beautiful evening. Place is gorgeous! Definitely a must repeat!!! Anything for the children, to provide them a better future!
