My wife and I decided to go for drinks and dinner last night. We decided to go to Café Europa since we hadn’t been there in awhile. This place has great ambience for sitting outside, the inside is kind of loud. Our bread was delicious and my Tortollini dish was tasty. My wife on the other hand, ordered the Spaghetti with sausage and meatballs. The meal was somewhat ruined by the cheap tomato sauce which was used… tasted like Chef Boyardee! Coffee was fresh and tasty. This place is OK because if its location, but the food does not really stand out. Service was also mediocre. Noodles Panini across the street, offers a better experience.

I loved everything about this restaurant! I had the rigatoni and meatballs and my boyfriend had a caesar salad with chicken. The service was great and the portions were generous. For dessert we had the cannoli and cappuccino which were also to die for! This is one of favorite restaurants in Fort. Lauderdale and plan to return soon!

Great restaurant. Fantastic Wine & Dessert bar. Little dark inside, but desserts are out of this world. Profiterole’s the midnight mousse great for chocolate lovers. Chicken Parmigiana is very large and filling. The Margherita pizza is thin, crispy and has good cheese.

I am dying to go back here already and it’s been less than 24 hours! Superb service, and it’s actually an authentic Italian restaurant which is rare to find these days! After dinner up the street, My friend and I stopped by for a glass of wine and some desserts. They have an abundant amount of sweet treats to pick from! I was so tempted to get an entrée after seeing the wait staff pass by with plates of mesmerizing food! Marco took care of us and kept us laughing the whole time! Definitely made this experience worthwhile on top of that ricotta cheesecake I had which is out of this world! Will come back ASAP!

Caffe Europa is now an ongoing joke in our household and probably not in the way that you’d expect. We were down in Florida for Unilocal Spring Break and ended up meeting the honey’s mother for lunch in between events. It was my first time meeting her, which becomes important later on in the story. Caffe Europa was lovely. We were seated outside and though my dish came with a red sauce not mentioned on the menu, it was quite filling and savory. We later ordered the tiramisu to close out the meal, which was absolutely divine. A perfect way to end the afternoon. So it’s coming towards the end of our visit with the honey’s mother. The service has been spot on, not overly friendly but consistent and effortless, when I decide to head to the«powder room» but am really sneaking away to pay the check and treat his mother to lunch. I’d gotten the idea from a friend of ours who tends to try to pay for everything, so I walk in, hand them my card, ask that they run it, sneak back out and we continue on happily with our delectable tiramisu. Until we end the meal that is, because that’s when she gets up to pay and I tell her it’s our treat. Did you know in Turkish culture it’s tradition that the oldest person at the table pay for the meal? Its apparently sincerely bad form to be the youngest person at the table and to pay for the check. Its almost offensive. Which the honey entirely neglected to tell me prior to meeting his Turkish born parents. The look of horror on her face? He still thinks it’s hilarious. He even gets this look of glee on his face whenever it comes up. So thank you Caffe Europa, for giving us one fantastic meal, and making it into our household family lore.

Despite watching the host giving our table away to customers who slipped her money, we were quite impressed with this place(twenty minutes later than planned). The food is incredible, and the dessert even better. Just beer & wine, no full bar. I had the white sangria and it was fantastic.

What a great find today for a late lunch/early dinner on Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. We met friends at Caffe Europa after touring a little bit of the town. Thought we would find something on the water along A1A but traffic was horrendous. Parked on Las Olas and walked until we found the right spot. Menu seemed very typically Italian but outside dining was appealing so took a table. What a great choice! Right from the first moment, Andy our waiter was outstanding. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about offerings and willing to adjust dishes to meet our needs. Nice wine menu and great choices for an afternoon meal. Hubby chose Rigatoni Fritti w meatballs. He loved the pasta done perfectly with absolutely delicious meatballs. High praise from my Italian guy whose mom made the best meatballs ever. Too late for lunch and too early for dinner, I ordered an Italian chopped salad which was perfect, albeit too large for one sitting. Included with the romaine lettuce was salami, mortadella, olives, tomatoes, provolone over perfectly sliced prosciutto di Parma. Excellent perfectly seasoned balsamic vignaigrette topped it off. Oops, forgot the bread — Andy suggested some grilled bread to start and we all jumped at that opportunity. It was the best bread so far we have had in FL — from New England and we have terrific bread there but this was excellent! Also on the menu are pizzas and if the bread is any indication, try them out. Our friends ordered chicken marsala with pasta and Cod Livornese which was served in a lovely sauce of capers, olives, onions, garlic, white wine, pommodoro sauce and a side of fettucine. They loved their dishes. The wait staff was attentive and not overbearing and Andy was a star. Since it was a down time between lunch and dinner, we had the benefit of chatting with him between our entrees and dessert. Absolutely delightful guy and so knowledgeable and adept at guiding us through the menu. We have enjoyed many outstanding meals at a number of very high-end restaurants from West Palm to Fort Lauderdale and must admit that this was very, very good. Prices are extremely reasonable, the offerings beautifully prepared, and the service outstanding. Not to be forgotten were the dessert offerings from the pastry case and gelato bar inside the restaurant. The pistachio gelato was awesome — the chocolate suicide cake served with fresh whip cream was just okay in my book, but out friends loved it. All in all, this restaurant was a great find with great choices, excellent food and awesome staff. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Great dining! We wandered by a few days before we had dinner there this past Monday. We had the rigatoni bolognese and eggplant parm. Paul our waiter was amazing and indeed we had a «dining experience» to be remembered. We loved it and we will be back when next in Fort Lauderdale.

Café Europa brings a little something special to Las Olas and it’s a must when you’re craving something other than Starbucks. They not only have great coffee, but their pizza, pasta and gelato will leave you satisfied. I recommend coming in mid day when it’s not too crowded

So the original plan was to go to Louie Bossi’s(no offense, Caffe Europa), but a 2 hour wait time was enough to nope us outta there, and in search of good times elsewhere, and Caffe Europe welcomed my group of 6 with open arms(and an empty table). The place is everything you expect from a Las Olas restaurant: It’s got some semblance of an ambiance, mostly achieved from dim lighting, but nothing to write home about and certainly nothing groundbreaking. The food is decent, but again, nothing mind-blowing, and the menu is overpriced, with prices that would be about $ 10 cheaper a plate if served at a restaurant a few miles west. I ordered a salad(surprise surprise), and it was good, as far as salad is concerned. It was a Mediterranean blend, with roasted peppers, feta, olives, cucumber, etc. All the ingredients were fresh and ample, with a good lettuce to «other stuff» ratio. The only complaint would be that the portion for $ 15 entrée salad was on the smaller side. But that was definitely the trend. My friends all ordered dishes, and the portions were some of the smallest I’ve seen for dinner meals. The chicken dishes had sides of pasta that were the serving sizes you see on «light» or lunch menus. And for $ 20+ a plate, Caffe Europe is charging a pretty penny but not delivering on the goods. And then… the check splitting thing. They wouldn’t do it. They wouldn’t give us separate checks and then he wouldn’t let us divy up what we each individually owed. He would only divide the one check evenly by 5. So my $ 15 salad plus free water ended up costing me $ 38 because all my friends ordered cocktails and entrees, and some even dessert. So that was not at all appreciated that they were so unwavering in accommodating our needs. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here but I wouldn’t tell anyone to avoid it either, but there are certainly better options to be had.

Been to Caffe Europa more than once. We love the atmosphere, and the staff treats us like family. They have a great wine selection and the octopus appetizer is fantastic. I am a big fan of the calamari calabrese‘ appetizer as well. All the dinner selections are great, definitely check the specials. All of their deserts are homemade, can’t go wrong with any. Price point is moderate and doesn’t break the bank to have a great meal in great location.

I’m italian from Sicily born and raised and I wanted to try some Italian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale so I decided to go with my friends to this place“caffe Europa” called like a name of a restaurant I always go in Sicily. It has been a pretty good experience, they have a patio with the view of the busy las olas Blvd. The inside of this place is just wonderful and the atmosphere is great and the designed is good. I sat outside on the patio and the waiter was nice and polite. We got our orders and the time of waiting wasn’t long. We ordered a pizza margherita — pizza salsiccia e rapini and a Europa salad. The margherita wasn’t bad, may be too thin for my taste but than everyone has his opinion. I didn’t like the sauce that much but the cheese was good. My friends were happy with their order and they said was good. Service did everything good, he gave us bread twice with no complain. At the end of the lunch we took an espresso and may be it could have been better made. Good experience.

Stopped in Café Europa late this morning(11:30ish on a Sunday) with a friend for a coffee. Sat at the bar. Service was great. The staff was very friendly and efficient. My cappuccino was good, but nothing special, and my friend’s espresso was on the better side of ok. We thought maybe we’d get a small bite to eat. We’d both been to Café Europa before, but it had been a couple of years. They had what I thought was a Sunday brunch menu of about 6 items, but it didn’t have any breakfast items on it or even a sandwich. Just full meals. I was confused. Maybe it was actually just the Sunday specials menu. We then perused the regular menu, which is basically a dinner menu including pizzas. It didn’t have sandwiches either and we were bummed. A crusty European baguette sandwich of some sort sounded delicious. All appetizers and salads were $ 12 and up and that was more than we wanted to pay for a snack. We finished our coffees, checked out their good-sized gelato selection by the door, and headed back out onto Las Olas. I’m sure I’ll hit up Café Europa again at some point, but it will be for dinner. And maybe for gelato. The atmosphere is nice and they have decent sized outdoor seating area. The service was good. When I do, I’ll update this review. Until then, I can only give it 3 stars for the ok coffee. If you’re considering Café Europa, I’d recommend checking out the menu online before heading there, just to make sure it has what you’re looking for, in the price range you’re looking for.

And once more! This restaurant did not disappoint… I highly recommend this place. Good service, good food, nice setting… So thats a 5⁄5! Today I ordered the aioli pasta… My wife had it last time and it was VERY good… Today, i can truly say that a simple dish is maybe so complicated to do and the chef knows. He know period! What a great pasta… Long Time since I had an aioli like this… Usually never ask for it as it either swims in oil or it is overpowered with garlic etc… But here! Well try for yourselves… Today Mario also took very good care of us along with Miguel Angel… Both very attentive! The rest of the food was also very good with the exception of the nocciola(hazelnut) ice cream… Last time it was awesome and today it missed balance, texture and flavor… Will keep my 5⁄5 for everything else and hope next time the ice cream is better. Enjoy

My girls and I visited this establishment for dessert, post dinner at another restaurant. No one was please with their order. My friend who ordered the pistachio gelato gave a score of 3.5÷10. My friend stated the gelato had an after taste. My other friend ordered a layered chocolate cake and rated it 4⁄10. I had a lemon coconut cake. First bite, I instantly tasted the coconut flavor, which I loved, but the more I ate, the less I enjoyed the cake. The yellow cake itself was dry, not moist at all. I rated the cake 5⁄10. The wait staff were extremely nice and welcoming. Since my friend did not eat her gelato, they offer her another dessert, but she declined, so did not get charged for her dessert. No, I will not return.

The desserts from here deserve 6 stars!!! The fruiti de bosco and the tiramisu(regular and amaretto) are seriously so good. Lattes are always great and the service is always on point. I do wish the outside area was a bit larger but honestly besides that I have zero complaints — this place hands down is one of the best local Italian places in Fort Lauderdale. My favorite meal from there is the eggplant parmigiana and also their Beet salad. My husband always raves about the lasagna and the pasta bolognese!

LEAVETHEGUN — TAKETHECANNOLI This particular visit was for coffee and dessert. We went inside and easily grabbed two seats at the bar during the Las Olas Art Fair. The bartender was very attentive and provided our dessert menu on request for review. We ordered an iced coffee, decaf coffee and one cannoli to split.(see pics) Everything was okay and the presentation was very nice. Having not had a cannoli for a long time, I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it did not live up to what I was dreaming for. The cannoli shell was extra hard to the point we had to hold it down to try and break into it, and the cannoli cream was very thin and runny. Either they just made the filling and it hadn’t set up yet, or the consistancy was off when prepared. I have had the miniature cannoli here before and it was delicious, so I’m thinking that this is hit or miss on the food prep.

Just the old kinda touristy place to go have a decent«italian» meal in ft lauderdale. Not my choice for sure but have had the chance to eat here a couple of times and I still give it a «meh» kind of rating. The pasta is ok, nothing special, the sauces are very far from been real italian or as they call one«la nonna’s» sauce. The service is good, the waiters are great but I do not share the group seating policy, we were a group of 8 and 5 of us were already there and they would not let us seat or even wait inside! The appetizers are as average as the food and so are the desserts. At the end, an average place which I think is ok if nothing else around is available.

East Las Olas Boulevard is a pretty nice street in Fort Lauderdale with a bunch of restaurants that are mostly too expensive. My family wandered around the area looking for the cheapest one until we concluded that none of them were cheap. We just ended up settling for Caffe Europa and it turned out to be a good decision. It’s a somewhat upscale Italian restaurant, though I suppose that most Italian restaurants in the United States are fairly classy. This was immediately obvious as they served us bread as an appetizer and with the different kinds of oils to pour onto a small plate and dip the breads into. This was quite an enjoyable start to a meal. I ordered a Trout Europa, a boneless rainbow trout served with salad for fifteen dollars. Within twelve minutes of my ordering, the dish was ready at my table. The thing by itself normally would not have been enough, but they at least had enough bread to make up for it. I really have to thank the waiter Vitalii for his great service here. It made the restaurant seem much better. They have a selection of desserts here that I almost felt bad to have declined ordering from after being handed the menu for them. Their cakes looked so good just sitting there on the display case, though!

When moseying around Las Olas I’ve had several occasions to stop by Caffe Europe for lunch, a couple of times for dinner and have always been pleased with their service and food offerings. During the day, it can be a really relaxing place to eat outdoors on their patio as it is somewhat elevated off of the sidewalk offering good views of the street area but removed from pedestrian and vehicular traffic. I’ve had their caprese, their simple olive oil and garlic spaghetti, lasagna Bolognese, eggplant parmigiana as well as a number of there other dishes, all very good, but find myself coming back for their veal francese, noted as «Francese Vitello» on their menu. It has a pleasant zesty fresh lemon taste about it, is egg dip breaded with the veal itself tender. The pasta side simple and as with all of their pastas, perfect al dente.
