White Balcony

This is a real gem in terms of the well curated stock, and the card selection is second to none in Fort Collins. The clothing is wonderfully cute (very modcloth-​esque), but sadly my wallet won’t let me buy clothes there too often.
What prevents me from coming in here more regularly is the overbearing staff. While all the girls that work there are incredibly nice, there always seems to be 3 too many people working at one time, and as a result don’t really leave you alone when shopping. There’s really no reason to be approached 3+ times in the span of a 10 minute shop visit when you’ve already stated that you don’t need to help. As someone with mild social anxiety, I will actively avoid going in the store if I see too many employees hovering near the entrance with the look like they are waiting for a customer to come in.

This store is so wonderful. It’s a great place for gift shopping; you’re sure to find something that they never new they needed. Whether it’s elephant salt and pepper shakers with intertwining trunks or a cute little dress, a colorful purse or a scarf that has a fox head on one side and a tail on the other, candles or jewelry. This place has it and it’s kinda awesome! The staff are helpful and the store is full of surprises.

Love this place!!! Every time I come up to Fort Collins I have to stop in. Such a fun and unique selection of gifts, candles, accessories, clothing and more! Not to mention they always have the most sweet and helpful people working in there. Definitely stop in here!

I have spent too many hours in White Balcony, and do not regret a single moment of any of it. Every Fort Collins trip over the last x-​amount of years has had to include a trip to White Balcony, segmenting off at least an hour or two in which to do so.
As White Balcony is along College, it’s hard to miss it, nor would you want to. This place is really a ride that you need to experience for yourself. The store is divided up into color sections, with a plethora of bags, dresses, mugs, jewelry, humor gifts, alcohol inclined items and etc. Really the «etc» makes up most of this store, it’s amazing just how much stuff has been nicely packed into a relatively small store (small in the sense of how much stock there is), and how wonderfully organized it is.
White Balcony is GREAT. Over the years however, the prices of items overall has seemed to really increase. I remember coming in years ago and having fairly nice, affordable prices. With my most recent stop, it seems like many set prices have sky rocketed. Which, for me is fine, as I usually derive all my pleasure from hours of browsing. But, when I found things I might consider buying, the price would usually determine how much I really needed it or not [I left empty handed after my hour of looking]. Don’t let this turn you away!
Please! Just to enhance your happiness and overall quality of life, stop in at White Balcony. You’ll be mesmerized and entertained whether you actually end up spending money on anything here or not.

Cool store with cute things, but the workers there can be really in your face and a bit overbearing.

I had always heard great things about this store, and I finally went to check it out for myself and was not disappointed! Their clothes were adorable and their staff was so helpful. The clothes were a little spendy, but a nice treat for a special occasion.

This store has some really really cute things. However, there are many things that are overpriced especially for the quality that you are purchasing. It’s not worth it and they have no return policy so if your fear of something breaking down comes true, too bad. Also, they’re staff is EXTREMELY overbearing to the point where I wish I had headphones on so I could shop in peace. If I have questions, I will ask. I would’ve bought a lot more if I hadn’t felt so pressured.

I spend so much money in here every time I’m visiting FoCo. I want one of everything! Amazing gifts, fantastic cards (I’m a sucker for stationary and letterpress) and they carry some of the very best candles ever (try Aquiesse, you will not be disappointed!) The ladies that work there are always so sweet, helpful and chatty. Love this place and will keep coming back!

This is a wonderful store that is so much fun to shop in! My favorite place in Fort Collins!!! Great selection, wonderful staff, great prices!!! The staff was very helpful with sizes and helping with putting outfits together!!! A must visit in Fort Collins!!!

Excellent merchandising makes this an extra fun place to shop for gifts or yours truly. A mix of home décor, kitchy gifts, books, paper goods, jewelry, clothing and accessories beautifully displayed by color, subject, or style will keep you amused and impressed as you wander through the sizable neighborhood boutique. A prefect place to go when you need a gift but don’t know what to get because this place is full of ideas at affordable prices.

Was my favorite boutique in town. Ive spent a lot of money here, hats, purses, wallets, etc. Their return policy is totally BS. I bought an ESPE wallet there for $ 25 for a small one and have used it maybe 3 times total in the last 10 months. Its been sitting in my closet waiting to be used. The butterflies that were «glued» down are falling off completely. Anyway, I didn’t have a receipt and they looked up my name but couldn’t find the purchase. They refused to exchange or do anything with my shoddy wallet. I am forced to discontinue my shopping sprees there. Manager was not helpful told me there was nothing she could do because I didn’t have a receipt, I get the return policy, but please, I spend money there. As said in another review, employees follow you around like you’re going to steal something… really obtrusive and rude. SORRY won’t be back and will tell friends not to frequent this store. You should always always live by the creed that the customer is always right, especially when the products are defective!

Great place to stop in and buy gifts for friends and then yourself! The employees are some of the nicest, helpful, and funny people I have encountered since moving to Fort Collins.

Shopping at White Balcony makes me feel like ModCloth opened an actual storefront where I can shop! So, naturally I love it.
They have a wide selection of dresses, accessories, gifts, even cards. And everything in the store is organized by color which is super cool if you have favorite colors or just want to look for something that’s red.
The prices are pretty reasonable and the girls working there when I went in were super lovely. I would go back in a heartbeat the next time I find myself in Fort Collins.

This store is super cute, and most the staff are friendly. However, if you EVER need to return or exchange anything, GOOD LUCK. They treat you like crap and nothing gets fixed. The owner is always right here — never the customer.

Love all of the products in this store, I find something new every time. The only downside is the staff follows you around taking an overly active role in greeting and helping customers to the point that it becomes a little overwhelming. I prefer to shop in peace and make my way through the store without everyone commenting on what I’m buying or making recommendations I didn’t ask for. Other than that it’s my go-​to shopping place for cute and fun gifts and treats.

Could’ve spent all day in here, if I wasn’t with other folks. They had cute clothes that I wanted to try on, pretty accessories, gift-​y novelties, and all sorts of things your gal pal would love to receive… in a really great, posh setting that’s fun to browse. Of all the shops we stopped in on our store crawl, this was by far the most crowded — and it’s easy to see why!

Sure this place might be a «girly» store, but there’s plenty of cool things in this store that anyone who’s into neat designs and interesting knick knacks can appreciate regardless of gender.
The most interesting thing is how they brilliantly merchandise their various products by color.
You’ll find green dresses, with green badges, green toys, green accessories and other green things. It’s brilliant!
I’m sure one could spend hours in here with the amount of tiny and cool products they have all over, despite how small the store space might be.
If you find yourself walking through Old Town with nothing better to do, come do yourself a favor and kill some time in this store. I’m sure you’ll probably find something to buy, even if you don’t need it.
