SODISAPPOINTED. I had heard good things about sushi fission on Main Street and when I saw they had a location in Forest Hills and new I’d be driving through k decided to give it a try. The customer service was sub par but that’s the least of my issues(the man at the front desk was too busy having a conversation with a co-worker to be bothered with me). I brought a sushi platter home for my sons birthday party and we were all pretty repulsed by the sushi. Everything tastes the same. The tempura rolls were dry, all the other fish was just tasteless. The avocado rolls were fine, but after eating their sushi we were all nauseous. Not good my back there and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I hate that I even have to give it one star. This is the most disgusting place I have ever been to. The kani salad was yellow and mushy. The sushi pizza is supposed to be raw fish. They cover it with spicy mayo and then put a flame to it to mask the old fish. I paid 21 $ for food poisoning. And no refunds or exchanges?! That should have been a warning sign. Excuse me while I drink a bottle of Pepto bismol.

I love this place, not because its Kosher but because their fish is(most of the time) super fresh! I love salmon rolls and salmon nigiri. I usually get light on the rice so they give a bigger chunk of fish! :) So delish! Their delivery wait can sometimes be long but its well worth the wait!

Have been going to this place for years. The service ok, the sushi overall is good & the prices are excellent. It’s a whole in the wall place which is average to eat in, made for take out. Overall pretty good value. Very large variety.

Sorry to see that this place has so many negative reviews. I need a sushi platter for a dinner party. Came here to order was always greeted by the friendly and helpful staff. They explained how to order the platter and that they customize it anyway u like. Prices are resasonable for kosher sushi. Got our delivery right on time. Not only was sushi, fresh, flavorful and presented well, but it was a hit. Not one piece of sushi left. Definitely recommend this place. Will be back, I appreciated their great customer service.

The deal is, I came in with my friends a week ago, during the lunch hour. My friends ordered lots of sushi and i brought my own food in, since i am on a Gluten-free diet and can’t eat white rice or soy sauce as well. I waited about 30 minutes for my friends to get their order on a table and then had pulled out my food, which included potato with chicken and home-made tea. Right away, a big Jewish guy had made a remark that his boss doesn’t allow any food, especially meat being brought into their facility. I replied that i had not noticed any announcement about any prohibited food. He replied, as my boss would be very upset if he had noticed someone eating other than the food from a restaurant. I did cooperate and hid my food away. Unfortunately, me and my friends have not expected such discrimination. I should have recorded our conversation and it would have been a nice law suit. Besides, i had also noticed that the guys don’t like to wear gloves while preparing the food, they literally use their hands to fill up a platter.

Not to long ago I discovers this place. It is one of my favorite sushi places, alway fresh and tasty. Nice service. Only down side for me is how long the delivery takes every time I call for delivery I am told I have to wait 1.5÷2 hours.

Sushi is very good — but this place lacks service. Very rude over the phone… almost immediately tried to brush me off because the delivery was for Fresh Meadows & said there is a minimum order of $ 40 Well, shouldn’t they ask what the order is for before turning down a customer? Ordered a $ 65 platter … We go through the assorted roll options — and he interrupts me again to say — oh plus $ 5 delivery fee . That’s fine… Can we continue with the order now??? Then he says his boss said he has to mention that part…(when? The beginning or middle of the order?) Finished choosing the rolls Was preparing my Amex card and he says«don’t mean to rush you … but can you hurry up»…seriously I took 5 seconds to get my card ready. Poor customer service, no manners. Will not be ordering here again. Every business needs to do more than hire workers. There has to be training, policies have to be implemented, …order sizes + delivery charges should be discussed before orders are placed & never assume anything. Would the boss be happy if he knew you turned down a customer who wants to order party platters for $ 500 — when you thought they just wanted a lunch special? No. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Staff Training Required.

So one time, at band camp… Just kidding. I love veggie sushi. I mean, if I could eat veggie sushi as an appetizer to every meal I would be okay with that. Sometimes I’d have avacado, sometimes cucumber, and sometimes I’d have the red onion roll. Okay maybe they do this lots of places, but I haven’t seen it. They fry onions… like onion rings, and then they put it in sushi. THEYPUTONIONRINGSINSUSHI. Have you ever heard of something so delicious? This is the only take out place my husband and I order from regularly. We love to cook, and to be honest most kosher places don’t deliver. But sushi fussion? Yup, they deliver. And they deliver on time, and it’s ALWAYS fresh. And it tastes good, and it’s cheap. It’s so unbelievably affordable! I know what I’m in the mood for tonight!

Big on Quantity | Industrial Sushi | Average at best We got the deluxe platter delivered to the office. It was $ 54.95. It was enough for 8 — 10 people. You get a huge platter of sushi, but it is all basically the same thing — tuna or salmon, avocado here and there with small variations on what is sprinkled on the outside. Tuna roll, tuna with avocado, cucumber and tuna, cucumber and tuna tuna wrapped in avocado sometimes covered with salmon. I found it boring. Some of the seared tuna was overcooked and dry, very unimaginative. There are a million sushi places in this neighborhood. This one is not the best, not the worst, but it is average at best. I will not be repeating.

i used to live down the block and was one of the first to order from this place. It was a little more than i expected to pay and it took a long time for the sushi to arrive at my door, considering i was literally steps away. But, it was very good sushi, best i had to date, it was expensive, but Kosher food generally is. Ill eat there again if I’m entertaining Kosher eating friends or family. Five stars if faster cheaper and friendlier. But worthy of four for sure! I like!

Great Sushi spot. Good service and hiod selection. I would like to see more variety of sushi. Most of the sushi is salomon and tuna. I love the selection at Esti Hana in brooklyn. Over good food.

This is perhaps the best kosher sushi i have had in a long time. The only draw back is that it’s take out. I really do hope they expand the place. Anyways prices are affordable!

We’ve been eating here since they opened and the quality had gone down at one point but now they’re good again. The fish is always fresh and they have a lot to choose from. Yes you can’t sit down but they have a sister restaurant in Great Neck where you can. The prices are good especially for the quality. I’ve been to a lot of upscale sushi restaurants in the city and while this is more of a low key place it’s still pretty good.

Never ever have I been so disappointed in a sushi place — not even at the mall! I should’ve turned around when I walked in & noticed the owner eating fried chicken @ the counter-occupying the one stool to sit in. One sushi chef was outside eating lunch & the other Hispanic«chef» was nice enough to help me through the door w/a stroller. I ordered the salmon lover’s platter and the cashier asked«Which one?» I only saw one on the menu, but pointed it out anyhow. Well, lack of service aside, the sushi didn’t look bad… it just didn’t look like sushi… the slab of salmon lay on a mound of mushy rice. Not sushi rice… mushy, wet, day-old rice. The way the salmon was cut made me question whether it had been previously frozen. Then there was no wasabi or ginger to help fight off the fishy taste… I ended up not taking more than three bites for fear I would get sick. I really feel that if you are going to open a restaurant, do it because you have a passion for the cuisine. Not because you know you can make a quick easy buck!

I came across this new eatery a few weeks ago and finally got to try it out. In FH there are not many sushi joints heading down 108 street. This interior is very small, mainly this place is meant for take out and delivery. I ordered the spicy tuna and white tuna roll. The sushi chef made the rolls fresh on the spot within minutes. The white tuna was very bland if not tasteless. Just by taking a whiff of the tuna, I could tell it was not fresh. Normally fresh seafood is odorless. The spicy tuna was not spicy at all, I had to add wasabi to ignite more flavor. The prices on the other hand are reasonable, considering they are Glatt Kosher and must be closed on Saturdays. Both rolls, each sliced into 8 pieces, came out to $ 7.00 with the tax. For Queens I would say these prices are good, but I can definitely get cheaper, better quality sushi rolls in Chinatown.
