Singas Famous Pizza

I’ve loved Singas Famous Pizza since I was a kid! I was sad when they closed the location on Broadway but super happy when they opened this one. And it’s close to my house. I was shocked when I read a few negative reviews here on Unilocal because I’ve never had a problem here before and the pizza is BOMB. However… I now know why. My boyfriend tried placing a pick up order over the phone. He was going to pay for it over the phone with his card and I was going to pick it up. They told him they couldn’t and when my boyfriend asked why, they had the nerve to give him an attitude. The reviews are completely true. This place lacks proper customer service. My boyfriend just asked them a simple question and whoever was on the phone with him was rude and didn’t help us out. I don’t understand what’s up with the staff’s attitude. Get it together Singas staff. We just wanted to pay for our pizza. The pizza is good though.

Great pizza and other stuff, but the service was a little slow.

TERRIBLE Customer Service! OMG The pizza is OK everytime they deliver it’s cold and we have to reheat.
The last straw –they didn’t want to honor their own special offered on
. They argued that the website was wrong, yet still charged the card and fought to refund us or provide the 3^rd free pizza stating that the website is wrong… but I was able to make the order?
We tried reasoning with 2 of the staff members they were rude, hung up on us, we went in person and still just as difficult. So you rather lose customers than give the 1 free pizza YOU offer, or keep your pizza and give us our money back? OK. got it Singas.
Also hours of operation/​delivery are not made clear online, physical menu and calling all contradict.
Never again.

Terrible service plus false advertising and poor customer service are just a few of the things I experienced with this establishment.
I placed an order online which advertised «buy two pies and get a third plain cheese pie for free» so the order was placed and the delivery guy showed up with only two pies. The delivery guy calls the store and informs them that a pie is missing I could over hear the conversation and the guy on the phone was saying we don’t offer that special. So I asked to speak to the manager, who stated to me in a very rude manner that I was wrong that the special is only for Monday — Thursday pick up only. I informed the manager that the website stated other wise which i also showed the delivery guy. I then went to the establishment personally and showed the manager the website and another employee agreed that the website stated the special with no specific days. I then spoke to whom I guess was the owner of the establishment and he proceeded to tell me that it’s not their fault its the third company party who runs the website, that they pay for and that I will not get the third pie because its not their offer and I won’t get a refund until they speak to the company that runs the website (OpenSnapp. Com)
As per other reviews on here which I didn’t pay mind to, please think twice before ordering from here, to not waste your money and pay cash (easier to get your money back)
With the time wasted I could’ve just driven to Elmhurst Famous Pizza for great personal pies!

I don’t know so many people are complaining about the staff. The guy who took my order and served my pizza was very kind.
The pizza was good. I like the Monday to Thursday deal for buy 2 toppings get one plain free which comes out to $ 15. The pizza were made fresh and took about 20 minutes
I got a fresh garlic pizza and they gave lot so garlic so that was good. Jalapeño is always nice and spicy but my broccoli pizza wasn’t so great. There was hardly any broccoli. That’s my only reason for giving a star off and it would be better if the pizza was a little less well done

Ok, so this place seems to be a chain, but my review pertains to the one near me on 108 st. Great pizza, especially for the price! The slices are pretty small, being a 10″ pie, but still, it tastes great. I see people saying that it’s too «doughy», but I have to disagree. A good pizza should be substantial, in the sense that you get an equal amount of ingredients on good dough; not these flimsy pizzas that seem to fall apart in your hand, because there’s too much sauce and cheese on virtually no dough at all. Singas should definitely start making larger-​sized pies, because I think they just found a customer for deliveries in the future.

Terrible service. Order food waited 2hours. Said they give complimentary after arguing that we don’t want anymore and then they offer one item from the order. Then to get a call two hours later asking for payment.
The manager on the phone was completely unprofessional. To top the food was horrendous.

I love this pizza shop personal pies with anything you want all these negative reviews I think are bs I been eating here for a while and every time it’s fresh clean and yummy better then the other 3 shops around

Horrible pizza… Why is this place even open still? I went there twice in my whole life, once I went the pizza was okay but this was a long long time ago, went again a few months ago. Was disappointed. Cheese tastes like rubber… Almost threw up when I ate it. Will never come here again, if you want better pizza there are about 3 other pizzerias on 108^th street. Do yourself a favor and go to any of those instead unless you want rubber taste to brush off later.

I placed an online order which I received in an appropriate time frame of 45 minutes. When I receive the order the pizza was unfortunately ice cold. the order was incorrect and when I called back and spoke with a Lewis, he was disgustingly rude didn’t offer to accommodate in any format whatsoever. When I asked the name of the franchise owner, I was hung up on after being told he wasn’t there. This is the first time I have ordered from this place definitely going back to my usual spot in Elmhurst. I would give them a NO STAR! HORRIBLE.

Not so Famous! I been not buying from them since my kids got sick from eating their pizzas. This place is going down hill for past few years. I buy at other pizza shops now.

I’ve had this before through delivery to Greenpoint a couple years back, and was thrilled as all hell to find this on 108^th street near me in Rego Park.
Good wait time (20 mins max) for pickup, and the pizza was great!
Manager was super cool too. Definitely stop by the Forest Hills location.

For years I have been eating Pizza from this place– They increased price– fine– quality was good. Then it went downhill bad and then worse.
They are saving on packaging — it makes me laugh. The Indian guy had so much clout. The deal one free with two is not valid on holidays… LOL.
I knew if you become a crook — you will go down. Just seeing other negative reviews I want to vent out too.
BAD PIZZA and Expensive !!!

Best pizza I have tasted in my whole life. I wish we had pizza this good in Vancouver.

I like this place most of the time. Never heard of singas til this year… So they’re not really all that «famous»… With that being said I do enjoy the personal pizza ideas. The buffalo chicken pizza and the Greek pizza have to be my favorite choices that they have. The only really annoying thing is that when we call in an order for delivery there is usually an issue on the phone. The guy that usually answers the phone can’t seem to understand phone numbers so you have to repeat your number to him about 6 or 7 times until he finally gets it, but there have been times that he has hung up on us after mumbling something. So that’s pretty terrible customer service. Also they seem to be out of ziti pasta 6 days out of the week… But only when that guy answers the phone. I seriously think they should not allow him to work the phones or speak to customers at all. He tends to yell at you out of his own frustration.
But again, the food is pretty good and the prices are decent, although I haven’t ventured out through they’re menu too much.

Very disappointed. Crust is old. Pizza sauce has no flavor. Nothing like it should taste like. Only thing that is good is Customer service and parking.

What happened ! I was in forest hills & decided on Singas … Plus there was a special running, buy 2 pies get a plain pie free. As I walked in I noticed the pies seen more doughier. The pizza’s were disappointing. Everything tasted different the dough & crust were extremely thick. The cheese tasted bland & rubbery the only thing that tasted the same was the sauce…
What happened to the personal pan pies that I have grown to love. I am going to stop at my usual Singas spot in Elmhurst & hope that this disappointing excuse of a Singas pie has not spread & is isolated to this one location!

Let’s first talk pizza… well they should actually say it’s size is a «Personal Size.» By all means when we think pizza, we think minimum 12 inches or more in diameter. I do have to give props where props are due…” The Special” which is a «Works» the veggies were fresh. They claim their fame in their sauce, However I claim there was lack there of. Now to their wings, either a 6 piece or 10, their wings were plump and juicy. But, they were drenched in their mild sauce that was very vinegar smelling. To me and it’s just my opinion that the sauce was more of sweet/​spicy ketchup in it’s flavor, and consistently. When delivered were burnt to the packaging. All and all I probably would not order from them again.

This place is usually very good. I enjoy the free pizza when you buy two toppings. The buffalo wings are incredible. The beef patties are not to be overlooked.
I however, have noticed that on Tuesday and Wednesdays there is a different guy cooking that has burned my food twice.
Until that changes. Avoid this place on Tuesday ad Wednesday.

Wonderful pizza tastes even better when served by an awesome staff!
My aunt loved this place and we always come back time and again to enjoy the Special, Anchovy, Mushrooms and Hawaiian Pizza.
They also serve beef patties for that extra protein:)
The Forest Hills location is our favorite by a mile!
