Frankie & Joey’s Pizzeria

Frankie & Joey’s was a great place. They made great pizza at great prices and took credit cards (which is more than I can say for one specific expensive FoHi pizza joint).
May they rest in peace.

the store is now closed.
I will miss them.

Excellent baked chicken salad, very good value for the money fresh and would recommend along with pizzas and pastas

A solid pizza shop is a required staple in any neighborhood, and F&J fits the bill. They have good pies, with good delivery service, and reasonable prices. 6 weeks into a major kitchen renovation, we’re finally getting to the «order in» phase of our grief cycle, and have given up on dining out. After recently moving on from Singa’s Buffalo Chicken pizza, F&J was a great find.

3 stars for the food, plus one for the ambience. Came here to satisfy my SUPERBOWL SIZED wing craving!!! My sista lives right across the boulevahd from heeya. They had a coupon fuh free gaahlic knots if ya buy some buffy wings. SO that’s what I got.
The wings were a-​ok, not terrible, not spectacular either. Got the job done. Garlic knots are tasty here.
As I was standing there waiting for my takeout order, the guy behind the counter is telling this other guy about how he used to sell cars and how he’d sell the customer on the monthly payment amount, not the sales amount and that’s how he got paid better. «I’d tell em, hey how much can ya afford to pay every month on the loan? And just go from there!!!» Yikes! Luckily that’s not how they price their food.

Frankie & Joey’s has great décor, pretty good pizza, and decent prices. I had a slice of their penne a la vodka pizza, which can be hit or miss depending on where you go. The penne was good, but the sauce lacked spice and flavor. Mozzarella was gooey and yummy.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but alas 4 is a bit too much for a grungy sort of pizza place. Nonetheless, F&J’s Pizzeria is a great little spot to grab a slice before a movie at the Midway (see my other review for this pathetic excuse for a cinema), or just a break from strolling along Austin Street in Forest Hills. They have many different kinds of pizza by the slice, and the garlic knots are excellent! Really no complaints, apart from the kind of dirty-​ish feel inside, but that might be my latent OCD writing this reivew. Staff are friendly, and oh, the pizza is not bad either.

Really great Pizza store. They allow groups of 5 and more people in if it is before opening time and even has exisiting cooked Pizzas ready. Also, it has a great location just by a movie theater and subway stop.
My favorites are their sicilian slices and fries, really warm and chewy stuff. Other than that, the Restroom isn’t that awesome but decent.

Great location: Right by the Midway movie theater so one can have a nice afternoon of a movie with a pizza.
Good selection of toppings as well.
What could be better?

this is what a local pizzeria should be about. this is located at where the kennel used to be (i guess i miss seeing little puppies playing at the window next to midway). i’ve had their pizza a few times recently and it’s pretty good. the pizzas are thin slice, the cheese and sauce are gooey enough without soaking into the pizza dough. their garlic knots are really garlicky which is a blessing and a curse. the prices for their food is pretty reasonable as well.

Alright! Frankie & Joey’s is back in my good graces! They had 2 slices left so I asked if they had a fresh pie… and they happily obliged… and BOY, was it deeeelicious!
The bathroom though hasn’t improved…

I really love the pizza from this place, and they always have such friendly service! I also love how this is quite possibly one of the cleanest pizzerias in New York with reasonable prices. Or maybe I just say that because I live in a dump and the pizza in my dump are really just dumps that spit out pizza? *shrug*
My favorite pizzas are the GRANDMA PIZZA and SALAD SLICE. Oh my gosh. If you love garlic and thin crust, the grandma pizza is the most perfect pizza slice ever. Please watch your arteries carefully, they will get clogged. I suggest hitting the gym not too long afterward. The salad slice is cheese-​less, yet still somehow really awesomely delicious.
I also had their pasta here, which is reasonably priced. I remember their alla vodka being pretty good, and I have no idea what the other pasta I ate was.

it ain’t dannys (of kew gardens) but… the service is way nicer than danny’s could ever be. the pizza was fresh, hot and tasty.
