I don’t get all the negative reviews. I’ve been here a couple times and love their pizza and their chicken parm heroes are the bomb diggity. Staff has always been very helpful answering any questions and really nice. Also, prices are fair so no complaints here!

Whoa whoa whoa. I don’t understand the awful Unilocal reviews… I have nothing but positive things to say about D’Angelo’s. This review is strictly for their delivery experience though. I’ve ordered from here several times for delivery and I’ve always had a great experience. Their foccacia silician is SODANGGOOD! It is perfectly tangy, deliciously garlicky, and mmm… that basil. Note that this is cheese-less. This is my go-to pie in not just this pizzeria, but the entire Forest Hills. I’ve had the extra large 18-inch cheese pizza with pepperoni here as well and they are NOT cheap with the pepperoni. This pizza pie is on the thicker side, but that is because they just put A LOT of cheese. The buffalo wings are large and juicy, each order comes with 7 tasty wings and a bit of carrots and celery on the side. I have never had to wait long for the delivery — generally arriving within estimated time or even earlier. The prices are very fair. I will continue to order from here again and again. Update: Foccacia Sicilian is now called Grandma’s Sicilian. Same great pie, different name.

This was some damn sad excuse for pizza. Got a slice. I like to try new places. It was practically sauce-less. Add some sauce people and you’ll have a decent slice. Save your money and go to Gloria Pizza instead. You’ll thank me.

Average pizza that’s a bit too doughy for my taste. But quick delivery and cheap prices. Hubs likes their Philly cheesesteaks, always steaming hot upon arrival. I usually get an eggplant roll. It helps that they’re on !

I can’t say the pizza was as bad as some of the other reviewers make it out to be. It’s certainly edible, if light on the tomato sauce and heavy on the cheese. Like any pizzeria, you’re probably going to end up with a better product if you order a whole pie made fresh from scratch, rather than a re-heated slice from behind-the-counter. But that being said, you’re likely to find a much better slice OR pie at La Rondine a few blocks down(especially now that Viviano’s Pizzeria has closed down, R.I.P.). A lot of the items are hit-or-miss and the quality fluctuates greatly. I’ve had cheesesteaks delivered to me that were simply fantastic one day, and then«eh, ok» the next. I tend to go for the burgers, which are rather large(especially for the price) and where the positive experiences far outweighed one single«where’s the beef?» moment. … There is one dish — «Pasta with Secret Sauce» — that I’d recommend for the particularly hungry. Get it with linguine. Basically it’s «heavy cream, ground beef & tomato sauce.» It’s a heart attack waiting to happen, but boy did it hit the spot. My two sons are professed fans of the baked ziti, and so far they’ve had a good track record of delivering baked ziti — with just the right amount of cheese and enough pasta to make two meals. As long as they don’t mess that up, I’ll keep ordering.

This is the second time I ordered from them, first time I was so happy I found a place with a salad I liked, the took 20 minutes longer than their quoted ’30−45 minute’ wait time, but tonight the just really disappointed me. They took about an hour an a half to deliver and it was the most awkward antipasto salad Id seen– not to mentioned different from the same salad Id ordered a couple weeks ago. They just lost my business.

Never ever post reviews but the pizza here was SO awful that I needed to share. Came in for a hot slice on a cold night and the pizza was so cold that the cheese had not even melted thoroughly. Awful.

I had a slice in the store. It was good at first, but as it cooled off, it wasn’t as good. The eggplant on my slice with either frozen or was sitting out for too long. It was overall decent. But this is New York, the pizza capital of the world. Decent pizza isn’t gonna cut it here. There’s no reason to go back.

Who messes up pizza, well D’Angelo can, if I’d a pizza slicer I would give the place a ¼ of a star & that’s being generous I’ve eaten the frozen pizza from the aslie of riteaide that were tastier. I order a slice will extra chesse, but I was given a triangular shape cardboard with cheese & a watery tomato sauce, so please run as fast as you can from this place!!! Beware bad pizza inside.

Ordered online since I had a coupon code burning a hole in my pocket. Got a 14inch regular pie and some buffalo wings. The pizza was okay. Not a great example of a NY slice by any means. Almost tasted like a slice of really really good Tombstone pizza from the supermarket. The wings weren’t half bad. Not sure I would order again as I don’t think I would pay full price for this.

No, just no. Went in here so I could use their restroom and ended up ordering a slice since it looked pretty tasty behind the glass. I started talking to one of the guys asking about the different toppings and what was what, I got about a few dozen«Uhhh», «Yeah» and«No“s from this space case. He just stood there like a statue like he was missing part of his brain. Frankly, the pizza was just average and oily. It dripped into the whole plate.

New pizzeria opened up so we thought we would try it. Delivery time great. I had two slices both smelled weird. Something about the cheese was very stinky. I’m just waiting to see if I get sick. The dough was ok. I hope the owner reads this so he/she can improve the sauce and cheese. Sorry, but worst pizza ever. This is NY? Queens not a place for pizza. (Dani’s sauce is too sweet.)

The pizza here isn’t very good at all. The first slice I had, the chicken and bacon at the recommendation of the guy behind the counter, was tough all-around. The toppings and thin bread were as dry and hard as the crust and the grease cut right through the wax paper – surprising since there was hardly any trace of cheese. I went ahead and ordered another slice of Italian sausage with peppers just to be sure that this place really does get away with this level of quality and, sure enough, the only difference between the slices how they looked. At $ 4 a slice, I would recommend staying far away from D’Angelo’s. The one good thing I can say about this place is that sodas are $ 1 a can and $ 1.50 a bottle which is cheap considering the location.

In short: Don’t go here. Chew off your arm instead… or go across the st, your choice. This is about the worst pizza you can get in ny… the worst pizza you can get anywhere. I’m not exaggerating. One dollar pizza is food from the heavens compare to this.(I actually like 1 dollar pizza. that shows you how terrible this place is.) Service: Nothing much to say, the guy understood what I was ordering they brought the slices to the table(by the way: 2 dollars for these plain slices was a rip off) Food: Oh my god. I’ve never seen more oil in my life. ever. I’m not kidding when I say I used 20 napkins(I counted) to blot the pizza, that wasn’t even enough. It was hot as could be. When I say hot I mean it felt like satan spit fire into my mouth. Okay that may be a little over the top but it was REALLY hot, I burnt my tongue after waiting 5 mins for the slice to cool down. Would never come back here. Save yourselves.

I really was hoping to enjoy the large Margherita(a «fave» according to their menu) pizza. Sad to say this is the worst pizza that I can remember eating. The sauce was waaayyy too sweet, the crust was too thick and out of proportion. We had to throw out half of it because we couldn’t get ourselves to eat another slice.
